As a bit of flashaholic I have now twice ran into the problem that Google Play Music account stops saying too many registered devices.
Fine, I'll delete one, but wait Google out a limit on 10 deletions per year (go figure)
3 days later having actually spoken to somebody at google support by phone (really not a bot!!) they reset the account and all is good.
Anybody else?
Would saving the old device ID and restore it avoid the issue?

Anyone having an issue adding a 2nd gmail/google account to an HTC Inspire? I've seen some other threads around from last year, but no real answers.
I input the e-mail and password. It syncs up and lists the calendar/mail options to sync. I check the features I want. I choose sync now, it then flashes something on the screen, then goes back to the home screen. It doesn't matter if I add an account from the gmail app, or from accounts and sync.
Did they limit the phone to 1 account?

Nope. I have two going.
i had the same issue when i got mine. I added it a few times then waited awhile and it just like appeared. Idk if it was cause of the clusterfuck of things that were syncing or what. Try adding it a few different times and it will show up
Ok, so I really hadn't installed much on the phone yet. I did a factory reset. When it started up I skipped the Account Setup in the wizzard. I went to Accounts and sync and added my google apps main account and a gmail account without any issue.
Hope someone finds this usefull.
So much for the Factory Reset. I got 2 added. Now I have a 3rd I want to add and it is not working again.
I've played with 5 or more android devices over the last month or so and none of them have ever had this problem.
I guess I just wait and see if it 3rd account shows up at some point.

Yeah my roommate got the phone the same time I did and is experiencing the same problem. He added a second account perfectly fine then the third one goofed. I wasn't able to add a second one for awhile. I guess just wait and try again :\
I think I figured it out. The first 2 I setup without installing any apps. But then I pushed some apps from market.android.com. 1 of them was Gmail Notifier. I uninstalled it and was able to add the account!
Some days ago i tried to download a new app and the play store show me everytime the same error. Even updating isn't possible.
I know there's a connection between Play Store and google talk. The problem is that i can't create a connection with google talk. Even hours later of waiting for a login - no reaction.
I read some advices, so i cleaned the catches of google talk and play store but this problem still exists.
The only solution i know is to reinstall the whole system, but i can't dopwnload a backup application to safe my data.
Does anyone have similar problems? Please help me, it's really frustrating to sit in front of your phone for hours and nothing works.
btw: i got a dell streak 5 without and flashing or sth else, just updated un android 2.2.2

Okay.
So I had a house theft where my Nexus 10 tablet was stolen.
I had Prey installed, but stupid me, disabled this from the Task Manager thingy thinking that it was eating up the battery, along with the GPS location option.
So both of those were not active at the time of the robbery.
I can go to the Google Play Store and see that it's being used every day, but it can't locate where it might be.
Two months had passed since then where suddenly I saw someone using my Pandora account and even entered in her real name.
After a simple Google search, I found her, including her address, and told a detective about this.
He stopped by to see her and she gave a good explanation, stating she no longer had it anymore.
The last time she used Pandora was the same day the detective was there.
I emailed Pandora if I could get an exact time stamp on the last song that was played and I'm waiting to hear from them.
I have a replacement tablet, another Nexus 10.
I can go online and ring the stolen device, lock it, or even erase it.
The tablet is still in my name even though it's gone.
Is there anything extremely smart I can do with this situation?

Since you are getting a replacement tablet, there is no need to get the original back. However, you might want to wipe it (as you stated you could) so nobody can use your Google account or take advantage of any personal info.
Change your passwords to those accounts you had on your stolen tablet.
Examples of accounts: Google, email(s), Pandora and all others which have a password.
If you had confidential information like your credit card number, etc, you might also wish to get them changed.
You should go online and disable your stolen device - erase and lock it.

My Google Play Store Stopped working + google play Games and also facing syncing problem with gmail and calendar , (no issue with internet connection) even after full reset .
also i am not able to add any other google account.
Nexus 5 Android 5.1.1 + rooted + xposed+ default kernel
and today i did clean cyanogen 12 installation but after adding my account this problem arrive again after some time
Have you tried narrowing down the issue, maybe a fresh install (don't root or install Xposed), add your account, run it for a day or two, or at least longer than you know it takes for the problem to occur. Just to make sure it's not an Xposed issue. I've never had issues just with rooting, but it always helps to eliminate any other possibilities.
I've seen something similar to this, and I never really figured it out. I'm using stock image, just root, but my issue was several google sync would not work, like contacts, calendar, and a few others. I tried removing the account and adding it back, it worked like you state, a few hours maybe, then it would have sync errors again. I re-imaged fresh, and I believe when I initially configured the phone the first time, I added my account when it asked instead of skipping it, like I do occasionally. It's been going strong since, but I still don't know if that was a correct "fix"
cyanogen have a setting to remove root access so i did , but the problem still there. i am 80% sure that this is not a root problem .
so i removed my google account but now i cant add any of my google account with my phone (Error -As shown in last screenshot)
i did a fresh start before so again its specifically related to my that google account (as i think)
possible cause of this problem -
1- Latest Stagefright Patch update by google on my nexus 5 (Problem occurs sometime after update)

i Removed host file from Etc folder in root directory and now problem gone

I am getting crazy. :crying::crying:
Since about 2 weeks ago my H955(rooted and xposed) and my friend's (original) do not sync properly GMAIL anymore (actually it sync randomly only 3-4 times at day).
I tried everything: deleted the system app and installed a new one from the market, I changed the account on my phone but nothing. The problem is still there.
As u can see from the screenshoot it seems that my google account sync randomly the google apps.
Do you have any suggestion?
PS: I am writing here cuz I tried my account in other 2 phones and it works like a charm and we have the same problem if we use another google account on ur phones.
I just noticed that hangout has the same problem. This morning I found a chat from a friend of mine of yesterday morning

I've got the same thing going on. I've tried everything I've found online and nothing has any effect. My G Flex 2 is unlocked and rooted but on the stock rom. It's not my account because it works fine in my old Nexus 4, and other Android devices I use.
Has anyone made any headway with this?

I had a similar issue with hangouts for a while, but recently fixed it when I went around and logged out of all my devices, and logged back into just a few of the important ones for hangouts.
I think one big issue was when I got messages and a shared device was on and hangouts running, it "saw" the notification first and never went through to the rest of my devices.
try to remove and re add the account 2-3 times .
try to clear data from google related apps gmail playstore....

Thank you so much! I found a fix on that androidpit article. Specifically I followed these steps:
Delete your Google Play Store data in Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store > Clear data. Delete data from Google Services Framework as well (note: this will assign a new Google ID to your device, as if you had factory reset it, meaning your Google apps may temporarily act up afterward).
Delete your Google account on the device, reboot your phone and re-add your Google account in Settings > Accounts > Add Account > Google Account.
