Here are step-by-step instructions on how to enable digital wellbeing on the Poco F1. This technique should work with other Xiaomi devices, but I don't know if it will. Please tell me if it works for you and I'll add them to the list :
List of devices for which this technique works :
Xiaomi Pocophone F1
Xiaomi Mi 8 SE
Redmi note 7
Redmi 6 pro
Huawei mate 10 pro
First, download the latest digital wellbeing apk from this link
Install the apk as you would any app.
Now the app is installed, but there's no way of opening it. The regular way is through settings, but there is no option for it in Xiaomi's settings. You need to install QuickShortcuts to access it.
Now open QuickShortcuts and scroll down or look up "digital" and click on the list item "digital wellbeing".
In the sub-list that opens, click on the second option, and then on "try". This will open the digitall wellbeing dashboard. The big wheel should not appear yet, because you haven't authorized it access. That's what we're gonna do.
Click on the first option, "Dashboard", then "change in settings" and authorize usage access for the app.
Now go back to the wellbeing app and to access it a little more easily, check "Show Icon in the App list" at the bottom of the page.
You can now uninstall QuickShortcuts if you want, digital wellbeing's icon will stay in your launcher.
Profit ?
P.S : While the dashboard and usage graphics work, wind down currently does not work on Xiaomi devices.
If you really need wind down, you can complain in the feedback app, and hope that MIUI devs add this in an update, or MIUI 11.
I needed this myself and thought i'd share once I fond how to add this. Also if I ever switch ROMs I have a quick tutorial to get this back. Let me know if this helped you by hitting the thanks button!
Wind Down is not working
Excellent tip!
Thanks a lot for sharing this. Great use for me.

Yeah. I know there are third-party apps that do this now, but the official tool is better imo.

Idk about that
You could probably try to use a third-party app to configure it (somehow like what people did with the Bixby button on Galaxy devices).
I had the same problem and posted this. Check it out. Hope it helps your need.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/help/fingerprint-unlock-shortcut-feature-t3624939
You can do in custom ROM. However for stock you can try All-one-Gestures app from Play Store.
I saw many people struggling to get it working.
Some suggesting to use with magisk module. But I got it to work without root.
So here's the steps to get it.
Steps :
1) Install latest wellbeing apk from apkmirror.com or attachment
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...wellbeing-0-2-207862754-android-apk-download/
2) Install Nova launcher (just needed to create shortcut)
You can use this app for shortcut too https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.actionlauncher.pixelshortcuts
3) Go to homescreen on your launcher and long press
4) Go to widgets and search for "Nova activities"
5)Scroll down and look for Digital Wellbeing in the list and tap on it
6) select ".home.TopLevelSettingsActivity" from the list of activities in digital wellbeing
First thing done. Now to permission.
Search for Digital wellbeing or wellbeing in apps and ensure all permissions are granted.
Lastly
1) open settings
2) search for usage access
3) allow wellbeing access
Done.
Now to see the app click on shortcut firstly created and you can see the dashboard working.
Hit thanks if I helped.
GDrive link for wellbeing I used

Screenshot :
Tried it.. works as described! Thanks
Thank you! It works great!
Yes, it works, but if you don't want to use nova, then you don't need. I'm using Oneplus Launcher. You just need to use this app from Play Store to create shortcuts for Digital Wellbeing

I updated OP
Most, but not all, of the features will work if you install it this way. For some of the app's features, it needs privileged permissions to work.
working as OP stated thanks
after just ativate "show in the app list" and it will be showned in the drawer
Much appreciated mate, it worked now!
Jesus Christ ?
Latest update gives you the option to show the app in the drawer. Get it from apkmirror.

if its this easy to install why doesnt oneplus just include it in their update?

Huawei has said in their official statement that navigation Gesture will only be available for phone without front facing fingerprint scanner, such as the honor play, mate 10 Pro, honor 8x, etc. This may change in the future.

Do you have a source for this? I really don't see the reason why. I always loved my Huawei Phones but if it's true, it's getting more and more ridiculous what they're doing...

Here is the screenshot of a screenshot in Chinese of the emui 9 update description
The circled bit says mate 10 and other devices with front facing fingerprint scanner are not a part of the fullscreen gesture roll-out
May we can activate over am adb command? Or manipulate some config file? Common guys from xda, you are so smart make it possible!

The new look for the emui overview screen is a part of the Huawei launcher, just like how it is in the pixel launcher, so maybe the gesture are a part of the launcher as well? Since the gestures on the pixel are a part of the launcher.

So it will be available for the P20 lite?
So gyus, you needn't to have Emui 9 for this. Install this app and you can configure your edge gestures for left/right/bottom individually. This app gives you even more features
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ss.edgegestures
Try it
Thats not the point, I have even spend to use the xda gesture control App. But first, I think the Implementation from emui 9 is better.
This

Is much better! Pre Release state
Guys are you sure that p20 pro won't get the new navigation gestures ..this is so upsetting
Just when I thought I saw a light at the end of the tunnel with the emui 9, Huawei rained on my parade. I know I'm never buying anything Huawei again. They keep bringing different kinds of frustration to the table

But in edge gestures you can remove the pill completely. So the gestures from the edges are completely invisible.

Yes me, worked fine on the phone
I'm sharing another Tasker made app with one simple purpose: get you into the hidden App Notifications menu so you can change notification sounds. As many of you know this menu is not accessible through system settings. There are many methods of accessing it, including Nova, Tasker, or other shortcut managers but they all require work and a bit of knowledge. This app makes it simple for anyone. Even advanced users may find it handy.
It does not require root or any special privilege. Simply launch the app to enter the App Notification menu. This accesses the built in Android notification management system and is simply the best way to manage your notification settings.
Please hit thanks if you find it useful ?
(Because of the nature of this workaround it will only work on the official EMUI 8.1 release for now. No custom ROM or beta support, sorry. Once I've updated to 9 I'll share the new fix if necessary. I have Canadian L04 model though and updates happen here slowly)
Not working for me (P20 Pro EMUI 9 Beta). App doesn't launch when tapped.

I don't have 9 yet but I'd assume you'll find it in settings under Notifications where it should be. AFAIK it was unintentionally left out in 8.1 which is why we had trouble. If it's included in 9 a simple search through settings should reward you. ?
Works perfect, thanks!

Broken link

Does this fix work also for P10 running EMUI 8.0 ?

The link is working for me, try downloading from another browser maybe. I have no idea if it will run on the P10 but it might. If it does please report back so we can share with P10 users too. ?
This apk is totally useless. It's a joke? The same you can get if you just go to the notifications.

Apparently you do not understand what we're trying to accomplish. You cannot change notification sounds in the menu you refer to in EMUI 8, only turn them off. But there is a secret hidden menu that allows to change any notification sound for any app you like. It may look similar to the one you are thinking of but if you know what you're doing it is very different, there are far more options available. You cannot get to this menu by any other means than sending an intent, whether via command, a shortcut from a launcher or an app like I've shared. Trust me, there is a purpose for this or I wouldn't have so many thanks for it already. But if you're okay with having the same notification sound for every single app on your phone that's cool too. Whatever floats your boat. ?
We can use Nova Launcher to create a shortcut that link to this Notification settings in this thread.

You can use Nova Launcher to do this, yes. Other methods all involve installing a shortcut creation app of some kind and finding the correct settings entry. This app is for people who do not use Nova or would prefer a simple method with the hard work done for them. It's a pain digging through all those settings entries if you don't need to. ?

This app saved my sanity after switching from a LG G5 to the P20 Pro. Many thanks!
I'm sorry, but to change the sound for any app I go to config/applications/aplications/ choose the application I want then manage notification then sound and choose what I want... Using pie with a L29. I came from a custom pie rom on an oneplus 2 and, as i remember, I use to do it like that also... Did I missed something? Sorry about my English.

Cause it's not there it's the first beta, let's wait what will come next. Use the oneplus feedback function within the app, you're the one that can make things happen :good:

I use the Nacho Notch application
I do not own this device but in the developer options of android 9 base lineage os there is option to hide notch. It is in the drawing section and called "display cutout". You can try and see if it is there also in android 10.
