How can I get the update
Pie on VZW was pushed out on Monday
Forgot to add screenshot. This is 2 days after update installed. Not a glitch yet.
I just received the Pie update on my Verizon LG G7 ThinQ. I haven't played with it much yet because I'm still setting it up to replace my Verizon V30.
Is NTFS file system natively supported in this new pie update. (For R/W NTFS formatted flash drive).
Since in oreo (G7), as NTFS is not supported I have to use third party file browser for this.
Just checking...

Nope, you need to use exFAT or FAT32.
Pie battery life?
Should I upgrade to Pie? Just wondering about the battery life. Just bought a T-Mobile G7. If it's the same or better I'll upgrade

Not much changes there, mainly looks like sense 7 to me
Ok, not much change s. but good to have. And I'm still loving HTC sense on this: simple is enough.
In addition, battery life seems to be longer.
With Nougat the possibility to set the memory card as internal memory is removed?
Another question: the multi windows function has been implemented? With the M9 Nougat update none...

please tell me the results, because my sister has One A9, and I used to update apps from apkmirror without any problems, but when HTC 10 came out, suddenly some apps stopped working. And one day I was really in trouble, I updated Phone app, and she could´t make any phone calls, nor receive it. That day I was in hurry and in the last moment rolling back to stock saved my a**.
Really I don´t know why HTC make some difference in the apps, for my phone Xperia Z5, everythings works fine, there is no incompactible app.
Also, the latest apk version of camera for A9 if I can remember was 8.10.779478
Just checked the update and received a 599.45MB. Downloading.....
Not sure what it is now.
This software update supports enhanced performance and other device improvements....
Just found out this updates includes super slow-mo and AR emoji, these features made me want to upgrade. Now I can stay with Note 8 longer

I'm confused. That's the OTA that you got today? That shows Sep.1 security date. Plus, I thought that CRIA has been the official for a bit? Am I mistaken?

ATT is always slow for updating the software.
I got the pie update!
I dunno if it's for the MFN since I did register, but don't have access to the stuff for the MFN...
I can immediately tell it doesn't include the pie gesture navigation. Further research shows that's the gesture navigation nis only available on the Android One Motorola products.

Before this I was either on the February patch or the March patch. I don't really remember. But I think this update is for the MFN.. unsure. But likely is since they invited me to take the beginning survey and stuff but I haven't received anything else from Motorola yet about the program..

Enable one button nav, it has Motorola's Pie optimized navigation system wich works better than the original Pie one.
I'm here to report...still nothing. Still on January security update. How far are we behind on security now; what's the latest one?
J
You need to run Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant for getting latest patch.
I believe the latest one is Feb security update.

no it doesnt. the moto one touch nav in the moto app on pie is the same as it always has been just one button to slide left, right and tap and hold and all that. it is NOT the new Pie gesture.
in fact its worse than just using the traditional on screen nav buttons cause sliding to the right to open multitasking doesnt open multitasking, it just switches to the previous app, hence why i have left it on for this long.
however, i will say that it was awesome on android oreo

Hey Thanks for this info. I didn't know such a thing existed but it is updating now. It is a 2.2g file so it will have to be downloaded to the PC first. I was a little nervous about giving all those developer rights to the app but I figure since it is Lenovo it should be OK. It doesn't look like it will update to Pie, however. It appears as stated above by another user that this is just the latest patches. I hope that this does not impede my ability to get OTA updates as I am not into rooting phones. Maybe one day if I have time I'll experiment with custom work but for now I just want the factory Pie that was promised with AI battery saver features.
Thanks again,
J

I'm new to MOTO (usually Google devices until Pixel) so I don't know if the MotoAgent reply is something dependable or just BS. I'm not in a hurry about Pie. It was enough of a mess using Lenovo Smart Assistant to flash the Feb update about a week ago. I will miss the readily available Google factory images for fastboot flashes.
If you got the pie update, can you post the OTA?
My xz3's unlocked so can't use XC but I want to try Android Q
AFAIK the XC's update firmware file is in the address below
C:\ProgramData\Sony Mobile\Update Engine\(DATE)\localstorage\US
(DATE) is the time you download an update.
Under this folder there should be some files that is used to update to Android Q.
Does anyone can go to check if there are some useful files to help me to update without XC?
Or use some tricks to get the download link
Or try a Q GSI from Google.

The PIE beta last year was just plain AOSP.
I assume it's the same again.
