Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.​

First look Review
I am really glad to see Resurrection Remix back in the game. The customizations available are unmatched. But this build is very buggy. I am only getting 4 hrs SOT and using anything on the phone is causing overheating ( The CPU temperature is always at about 51°C ). Also, there are plenty of slow downs and the screen often just turns black and the phone reboots. Also, it is showing me that vendor security patch is outdated and I have seLinux error of some sort. Any idea how to fix those? Otherwise the rom is pretty good, perhaps the most customizable pie rom after Havoc OS 9.0 . It's way too buggy at the moment to be used as a daily driver. If you do use it, get overload kernel v14.4 (don't get v14.6, v14.7 or v14.8) . It at least fixes some of the lag issues . The new boot animation is pretty slick. Hope that this rom gets regular updates and the bugs are ironed out.
Quick Note to OP: You haven't added this rom to the list of available ROMS for Le Eco le 2. You should do it or else this rom might get lost in the endless posts in Le 2 forum.
I would have loved to attach screen shots but I don't know how to. I'm new to Xda.
I'm interested in porting roms for Le2… Can you guide me how to do it or point me towards a guide. Most of the ones I found were for Android M/N roms.

Thanks for dat ROM...working great---using Overload Kernel 4.16 with LKT Balanced, Magisk root...rom is fast, smooth, nice xtras as well. In fact all yur ROM's work well, at least for me. Only problem I had was with Play Store, when I put in gmail address at start didn't take, had to remove reinstall then all was well. I don't think that's a problem though. Appreciate it dude...C ya.

Can u add some screenshots bro.

Thanks for the latest ROM, its working perfectly fine apart from couple of issues for me :
1. Ambient display brightness is very low.
2. Cannot Turn off Hardware button's back-light display.

Guys please add some screen shots so that others can have the glimpse of the ROM..
And did anyone tries Liquid Remix.. I found it the better ROM till now. For me it works great no bug. only when data or WiFi is turned on and notification comes you have to pause a little otherwise status bar lags.. Not a big deal...
I used RR Oreo and nougat build for le2 and it is best.
But looks like for pie I have to wait since feedbacks are not good.
Its the first build why the way so hoping for improvement and waiting for screenshots and feedbacks.... Thanks dev so much.

Liquid remix is way smoother and more stable than RR PIE as of now. I guess this is because this rom is still in it's nascent stage and things are bound to get better
I'm not using this rom anymore, so I can't provide any screenshots.

rssxda is no longer making builds for s2. This project has been abandoned with no new builds scheduled.

Tested on my x526 for liquid remix. Is their a new ressurection remix pie out now in July 2019? Ressurection had sum good this built in like 2g and gps off on screen off. I actually switched back to oreo ressurection it seems more snappy. Liquid is just abandoned

From initial testing there doesn't seem to be any annoying bugs

You can't restore data partition from a TWRP backup of other roms (e.g LineageOS etc.) as the data is incompatible with each other. Thats what I assume you did.

Yes, that's what i did, but i did it before with another pie roms, and never happened to me that the wifi doesn't work. I don't know... maybe it's a problem with my phone.

Yes. But I recommend clean flashing if you're going from LineageOS 16 as there may be issues otherwise.

I understand, been flashing ROMs for a while. I will probably try a dirty flash first but know any issues are not supported. It's worked for me on most devices when flashing. Just don't want to have to set it up again. I only keep my sunia because the awesome development on it. It cost $5 from Freedompop as a add on line, and it out shines the phone I got it with by a large amount because you developers! Thank you though! Oh, Are you going to continue to build different ROMs? I saw pixel experience! If you are looking for other ROMs to try to build I would suggest either havoc or aicp. I suggest them because in the past they have been a bit more stable build after build on the other devices I have used. RR seems to always come first though! :silly:

Arm32. I wish it was 64 some people have started to do that with the g4/g4+ so maybe it will happen.

Can enable camera to api to install Gcam?

Call connect but Can not hear call sound. Call feature not working properly.

Calls working ok for me. Will post some of the minor issues when I get the time. But overall the rom is really great.
P.s. Anyone noticed if battery life got better or worse, compared to nougat for example?

Didn´t try calls...the rest is working good so far.

I can't install Magisk on this ROM.
In TWRP did't appeared any error but Magisk Manager says it isn't installed.

So far my best rom. Only a few issues:
- Apps data from Google is not being restored at all.
- Xiaomi Doze and Parts are crashing
- Camera does not work at all. Bootleggers has a fully working camera with Night Sight enabled, can you use it here?
- Google Documents/Files app is not default
Can you please fix these issues for next update?

Alright the phone must come with Oreo, gonna twrp and flash the rom, I guess Pie Rom must flash new modem firmware hence disabling doubletap2wake, alright took note, hopefully it has oreo firmware.

Camera works perfectly, Google restore also... Xiaomi parts are crashing, but I've fixed it with Titanium backup from last build... Why nobody makes option to change colors and fonts for status bar anymore? Also for lockscreen... Still RR Is prolly best ROM I've seen so far for last few years and any Android device...

That's really weird. Camera didn't work for me. Did you flash anything special?
And btw, yes, Google restore works for apps, but it does NOT work for apps data (that is, saved accounts, custom configurations, etc)

I had tried havoc os 2.3 and even though it offers a lot of customisation (more than any rom i have tested) but overall RR is much more refined both in terms of performance and features. Also battery life is better in comparison to havoc.

I wanted Pixel Experience on my A2 but it doesn't work for some reason, buggy as hell. And on havoc everything is great but when I record videos there is a loud background noise for some reason, like someone turned on a vacuum cleaner Did you have anything like this in havoc and how is it on RR if you can check? I would really appreciate it if you'd answer me

I don't know about havoc but in RR the video is fine, both on gcam and stock camera.

I've only just moved to it a few weeks ago and very happy with everything.
It would be perfect if it had auto call recording option and some sort of way to change the recorded call file name : <Contact>_<Date> etc' now it is just the number.
And please, a change log

I'm experiencing a strange problem. When I connect my laptop to the hotspot internet works (great). If I connect to work VPN connection #1 that routes only some traffic to the VPN then that traffic works but internet is down. If I connect to work VPN connection #2 that routes all traffic to the work then it fails to connect. On my LG G6 (T-Mobile) all of this works correctly. What could be jacked up with this rom? I have not tried other roms to see if it resolves this issue but will do so today and report back.
Update: Cancel this. I have determined this is a problem with my laptop.

Due to safety net failure you can't install it from playstore. But you can install apk and use it (it works).

If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.
Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.

WOW, ton of features inside. Awesome work dev.
So far everything work flawlessly except for these,
- LED not working when charging
- Alert slider notification not working
- Tiles on quickbar not position really well (see image)
Pretty sure these will be fixed in the next build.

After coming to RR I've never been wanting something else. Happy to see RR with Android 10 is coming our way. Thanks!

The Rom has tons of customizations, they aren't optimally organised tho, I wasn't able to find 2tap2wake for example. Swap hardware buttons doesn't seem to work. I assume it can only get better with next builds, kudos to dev.

After having used RR for years, I've been struggling to find a 10.x ROM that would meet my expectations. Super happy to see you porting it to our devices, going to flash asap!

Didn't expect to see RR running on Android 10 for this device and I'm super happy with this release!

I was surprised to see there's no alert slider and hw button controls, but then I realized, it's probably ported from a device that has neither

Yes, in my experience it's because of unofficial builds in general. But it's the first release if I got the information herein so far. Shouldn't be too big of a problem to put those code snippets of other working 10 ROMs in there.

There is HW buttons control (swap), it just doesn't work.

What are the alert slider options on this rom? If there aren't any, is it possible to get OOS ones? The ones which have "Mute, vibrate and ring"?

Yes, I know that but other roms have been porting Motorola's face unlock in their roms hence why I asked if it's also present here.

alright, thanks!

Well, tried flashing ROM and after it finished and said "Process finished with [10000]" or something like that, the screen turned off and phone rebooted into fastboot. Couldn't boot or install gapps so yeah, thought Dev would wanna know
