I'm a novice with this stuff although I do have some understanding as I've unlocked and rooted a few phones but I'm not understanding of the bootloader unlock is it for developer edition only, also I haven't found a root method post and I know this might sound stupid but are the note 4 910 roms compatible with 915 edge
Hi I too am a novice and this phone is giving me a headache soo many variants and yes from what I've read around the 910 ROMs are compatible just with no edge support. I am on tmo soooo spotty lte . If you happen to learn any thing maybe u cud pass along and if and when i flash above illl t yaknow if it blew up. All the years ive been self teaching ANDROID wishing for another to ask questions (no one i know even cares for tech no one knows what im talking about ever) u may b the first person I've ever reached out to to ?. Hi everyone!
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Shehram and I am a previous Tmobile Galaxy S 2 owner (plagued by screen issues and jumped to the sensation). I got this phone and so far, I love it.
I've followed the guides to root and install clockwork etc. I just had one question though that I can't find an answer to. Knowing that there are different variations of the sensation, can I install ANY rom from the development section or do I need to find one that is specifically compatible with T-Mobile USA sensation.
Oh and is the Tmobile sensation labeled sensation 4G around this forum?

Yes, anything that is 4G is Tmobile US.
As far as i know all sensation ROMs support 4g... I use mikes ARHD and during installation there are numerous options to choose extras to flash, One of these options being 4G support.
Im pretty sure all ROMs are like that, But i cannot be sure as i have ever only used ARHD... It does everything i want and more... So i needn't bother looking elsewhere
they are all the same in the dev forum... just watch the firmware requirements (ICS/3.6 require 3.32FW, etc) but the guts are the same from the 4g/Se/etc// so flash away

I been on the search on how to root my SCH-R930 Galaxy s 4g from Us Cellular called the Aviator... (Brand New... Only been out for a week.)
The thing is that USCC is CDMA but their 4g network must be GSM. I don't know if this is a hybrid of CDMA and GSM together or what. (<------ Don't know if that is relevant but tossed it in.) Cant find much on the phone yet....
Anyway my question is the steps to root and flash the same as the T-Mobile sgs4g?
I have tried several different ways and all have been unsuccessful and nothing seemed to work. All that I tried were Software based rooting programs. Super One Click was the most recent and failed.
Just need to know where to start and what forum would be closest to mine.

over on the site android forums look up aviator then the post all things root follow those directions thats how i did it make sure you get the software update for the phone from samsung site first. super one click works but you have to get the upgraded software from the samsung web site for the aviator.
Hello ladies and gents, has android 5.0 been cracked yet? I mean can you root a sprint gs5 that is running Android 5.0
I would like to rot my phone so I can install a program to my phone that requires root. I do not wish to change or flash new roms or anything. Just to root the phone for this software. Has 5.0 been cracked on the sprint gs5? If so can someone link me to the thread for the instructions and links for software? How successful is the root? I know rooting is at your own risk but sometimes it fails more then it succeeds and that feels a bit risky for me. I am on mobile so it is not easy for me to search all the threads. I did see the sticky about rooting this phone, but I do not remember saying what version of Android it was for. Thanks for all the help.
The rooting method has not changed. All you need is Odin and the superuser tar.

Root Sprint S5....Step-by-Step
So this is my first LG phone, my last phone was the nexus 6 (RIP :crying So this whole root process for the LG G5 seems a little confusing to me. There's just so many different versions, do's, and don't do's. I was wondering if anyone could point me towards the correct guide, and method.

Thanks guys, I went away for vacation and forgot to check back. Needless to say, while I was away one of the kiddos dropped the phone and cracked it. Sadly, my replacement came with H83020c installed. I haven't checked any of the forums yet, but I'm out to see if we got a root for it yet

There is a root for 20C
Could someone help me root and add a stable custom ROM to my TMO GS7 (G930T)? I'm tired of all the extra crap. I can't afford to brick this phone. I have some root experience, but I'm by no means a pro. I have all the latest updates from TMO. Unfortunately, I couldn't stop them in time. I don't have anything in trade, but might be able to help out somehow. Last phone I rooted was a TMO GS4 with the help of a moderator friend. He helped me tremendously with root, Ron, and a few extras like sdmaid, simfix, etc. I can do via chat, IM, etc. There are a lot of posts and it's hard to figure out which one is legit for my device. Thanks!

A lot of it seems to evolve around using Odin to flash the phone with the right firmware. It's not clear but there does definately seem to be an issue with SM-G930T Model. Just bricked and then unbricked my phone last night. WHITE KNUCKLE RIDE BY THE WAY!
