Thank you Shivam!. Been using this since yesterday. So far so good. Just a few observations:-
1) IMS messages like "Sim 1 is HD compatible" in the notification area - cannot be dismissed
2) Scrolling performance is slightly jittery compare to stock
Battery life is really good. Thanks again.
---------- Post added at 11:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:16 AM ----------
Also, am new to Asus series of phones, how can I flash the stock firmware using fastboot? TIA!

Any fix to DT2W yet ? Can we expect a stable release soon enough ?
Thanks for the ROM... I have researched on how to build ROMs by source, and understood how much work and patience it requires...
Really appreciate what you are doing...
A 'serious' problem found with the ROM:-
While using dual SIM mode, somehow the default calling SIM gets interchanged with the other. No idea how it is triggered. But it happens.
Please port miui 10 for max pro m2

I think I love you. Thanks for the hard work.
For those are wondering, yes I've built the CM13 too but I have a weird and annoying bug there. For some reason Google's Location Provider causes random memory corruptions which lead to many random reboots when you're connected to a wifi network. Without a WiFi connection presence the device bootloops endlessly (we actually had a similar issue with moto msm8916 family but the problem was explicit there, here it's not). Nougat isn't affected by this bug, so that's why I'm directly publishing CM14.1 and skipping CM13
I think i love you too, very very thanks for the hard work
Does this work for the dual sim model? ("retla release channel")?
Skipped right over 6.0 and 7.0 and right to 7.1, Heh. My moto x pure isnt even on 7.1 yet. Awesome work!
What about encryption, does CM 14.1 Will encrypt when I set up the fingerprint scanner? Because I don't want encryption in my phone, I want to get the most of the SD625. Thanks.

No, I've disabled forced encryption on cm but you have to erase userdata through fastboot to get rid of encryption. Wipe data from TWRP isn't enough.

Camera stack is closed source on most of devices, motos included. On Nougat Google has done a lot of changes to the camera sources, so our prebuilt files find a new "unknown evnironment" while they expect the Marshmallow one.
There currently are some workarounds for this but nothing changes on this device; probably because of some changes made in our stack for the hasselblad camera module.
Do you think it will be possible to get moto mods working on custom roms? Is it something like the camera where we just need the blobs for 7.0 and integrate them into the kernel and all that or would it be a complicated mess to get them working at all?
Perhaps I'll be flashing this, how stable is it beside the camera and torch bugs? Are you using it as your daily driver?
Also, what gapps should I download? 64bit?
Hey bro, and Moto G 2015? ?

The Snapdragon 625 that's in our devices is 32-bit, so you wouldn't use the 64-bit GApps.

Im pretty sure our snapdragon 625 is not 32-bit, it is definitely built on aarch64. I think they just built the stock rom for armv7 or aarch32 which our processor is still compatible with. Probably because there isnt much of a reason to compile for aarch64. Taking a guess, I would think that this rom is 32-bit as well because the kernel source for our device would be based off of stock, I can easily be wrong about this though.
This is for Build Number MPN24.104-44 ? Indian Dual Sim.
Thank u so much man for working on this rom. Was regularly checking everyday for any Nougat rom and saw this. Very Happy. But I use my camera a lot so can't flash it right now. Hope the bugs get resolved pretty soon. Thanks for the rom again

I tested it and everything works (except for the camera for reasons already stated). In order for me to get a similar experience to Moto Display I found this app and it works almost as good on CM.

The only bad thing is that you have to purchase Pro to get Wave to Wake, but it is worth it in my opinion.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Dear Op, first thanks for this initiative. I just wanted to know why starting a new development LOS 16.0 for our device ? There is already an existing thread. Is it a technical issue or a different approach ? I am just curious. I guess the goal is to get Official LOS status, why not joining forces then ? Thanks a lot.

You can say just a new approach i.e. weeklies ...i cant tell abt but this will here always
So you're going to update it with every bugfix from LOS ?
Merging every week, right ?
How can we update ? OTA is working ?
I'm on last beta GLOBAL MIUI 10 ROM, not sure I will have all features like fingerprint or face unlock but LOS is a great ROM.
How are notch and notification icons managed ?
Time on left + only one notification icon + dot ?

The ROM is really smooth, I didn't encounter any problem except the ctsProfile test in Safetynet.
Fortunately, the fix is easy :
Replace the value in ro.build.fingerprint to this in /system/build.prop :
ro.build.fingerprint=xiaomi/tulip/tulip:8.1.0/OPM1.171019.011/V10.2.2.0.OEKMIXM:user/release-keys
Hope it works !

Close This Thread Already ! .. weeklies lool ! .
I flashed this ROM a month ago, works fine apart from two problems:
- The camera works fine in photo mode, but when I switch over to video mode and try to start recording, I get "Camera error, Can't connect to the camera". Any ideas?
I replaced the stock camera with snap camera, that works fine and can also record videos
- Duolingo just randomly crashes shortly after startup. Might be a problem with the app itself or the app needs Gapps to run (I don't have any form of Gapps on my phone)

Phone require to root only for this rom
this rom can be a daily driver been testing it, though after flashing magisk it got stuck on boot logo.
The problem i faced on this ROM :
1)i can't open (setting-->display-->style and wallpaper) ... it showed "stop working"
2)it doesn't support quick charge and no sign or animation showed my phone is charging (before this im using evoX android 10 it works perfectly)
3)no option for screenshot in setting (i dont know if this is a new feature from android 11~)
4)the screenshot only support in potrait display not for landscape display
5)sometimes when i got a phone call.. its auto loud speaker (im annoyed bcs i must always turn it off manually)
6)not all apps support bubble chats
that is all for now..
otherwise everything is absolutely fine
Really awesome rom from the developer with no customisation. I installed with NikGapps full package. Everything works fine. Battery backup is good compared to other roms. Gameplay also nice. I removed the camera and installed Gcam. 4K video recording can be done. Nice rom. Thanks again dev for your great work. Love you guys for giving life to whyred and it's users.
