Can't flash LineageOS 15.1 update - Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus Questions & Answers

Hello all, so I have been having some heat issues with my Mi 5s plus from the top right area of my phone. It gets wicked hot and also battery life has been going down a bit. So I wanted to re-flash and be sure all is updated. When I go to re-flash I get an error message saying that I need to update the firmware with Miui 8 or newer to flash Lineage. That doesn't sound right to me as LineageOS should have it's own firmware, right? Any help with this would be great!
Thank you all so much.
RichyB.

Nope, lineage OS is a ROM based on Android versions, some device's can't be updated to newer versions of Android with lineage OS because the manufacturer hasn't released an updated firmware/bootloader. And since Xiaomi released Android 8 and 7 for natrium most likely the newer versions of LOS request one of those

Honor 6 L04 latest stable update of Android 5.1.1 and Android 6 and tech question

Hey xda members,
I have H60-L04 with ROM build number H60-L04C900B521. I've read that Android 6 is released and of course before it some more updated builds of 5.1.1 ROMs. So my first couple of questions would be
What is the latest stable Marshmallow stock ROM released ? The one with no issues like battery drain and so.
What is the latest stable Android 5.1.1 stock ROM released ?
I kept my eyes on too many topics but I couldn't know if the ROMs are for my phone, latest, stable..etc or NOT. So forgive me if it's already answered, I'm not such expert.
Last question, is this one
Motion Control options going blank after factory reset. Is there anyway to fix this AFTER being gone or BEFORE the factory reset ? Luckly I have twrp backup so I rolled back to it and all was good but I can't seem to do factory reset because of this effect !
Reagards
The latest firmware I was able to find was this.
Can't find a Marshmallow, sorry.
Thank you for replying. Updates from huawei are too slow. I guess I wont expect nougats any time soon, maybe ever !
You can get MM ROM here
It's the B820 build and there's also a B860 OTA update I think

Try wiping only system partition and restoring system partition of your TWRP backup. Might fix your settings > motion problem
hohoho..!! Nougat is still far away buddy, I think your device has Marshmallow as the latest version no?
Yup, is far a lot for now :/
I think MM is the last update for the Honor 6.
Latest update is 820 via Update and 860 via OTA.
Yeah latest is MM and not even via OTA. Anyway, thx for reply guys. @goldfinv I did exactly that and all fixed. Thank you.
I bought my device from UAE but I did't get 5.1.1 early so I flashed indian version and updated with latest 6.0 b822 from India. After that I never got any update but when I checked UAE the latest is b860 which has emui 4.0.1 latest....I tried to flash via normal aswellas force but non worked and it display update failed . My device is not rooted and is there a software simple to flash UPDATE.APP via computer...Pls help

Enjoy Folks !!
If you love your device dont flash any firmware on it, firmware stays on your phone even after fastboot back to stock MIUI rom. Only way to remove it is to flash stock rom in EDL mode. Trust me i installed firmware once it had bugs and too good i knew what to do. So if you love your device i repeat dont install any firmware doesent matter who told you . All custom roms should work without need to install firmware if developers ask you to flash firmware to your phone before their rom dont use their roms. Thank me later Cheers!

(OnePlus 6) H2OS v5.1.14 to Oxygen OS.

Hello everyone.
So I recently bought a Chinese version of One Plus 6 and it came with H2OS. The moment I turned the cell on I updated it even though I shouldn't have(pretty new to this stuff BTW).
Later on I found out that H2OS was actually made for Chinese market. Now I'm attempting to install Oxygen OS I have already been trying, following the original OnePlus forums instructions but I keep getting "The version of your selected package is lower than that of your current system..." . I tried looking for answers on here before posting this, but I just couldn't. I would really appreciate your hel
Thanks in advance!
use the msm tool to downgrade to oxygen os and then all your updates will be oxygen os only or try installing oxygen Os pie beta that should be possible without use of pc I guess

Lg v20 f800l
Hi, I got the phone before yesterday 10/09/2019, I have no problems with the network of my provider company. I updated via Wi-Fi to version 10z and then via LG Brige to Android 8.0.0. Check the frequency bands of your provider company on google and compare them with the model f800l / k / s, because there are 3 versions of the f800. I am waiting for the release of android 9 for this model.
hi, in case you are interested. today I was able to install the beta of android 9 pie, in f800l model.
i'm testing and it works for now.

For those who want to get Android Oreo on H910 AT&T model, you can install a VPN apllication and put Esat or South cost in the USA and connect it, then seek for software upgrade, I was able to do all the OTA updates without any problems, it just takes a while since slow connection but be patient and enjoy !

Can you downgrade from MIUI 11 (any version) to MIUI 10 if necessary?

I am looking to flash Xiaomi.eu 9.12.12 (based on android 10) from global stable 10.3.2.0 (based on android 9) but before I do I want to make sure I can go back if I need to. On the Xiaomi.eu page the MiMix 3 is not listed as having ARB enabled but other sites like the Mi forums and Reddit say that ARB is required to be enabled on Android 9+ by Google and that it is enabled on the Mix series. Does anyone have any definitive information either way?
TL;DR Looks like the Mi Mix 3 with an unlocked bootloader does not have anti-rollback protection that will brick the device when downgrading. If you want to double check you can utilize this ARB-Checker which grabs the ARB version out of ROM zip files. If the version it spits out for both the current ROM and new ROM are the same then you can switch between them without issue.
The Mix 3 has no ARB.
You can flash what ever you want when you have unlocked the bootloader.

You are welcome.
I flashed a couple of ROMs found here and of course Xiaomi.Eu.
Flashed them down and upwards without any problems.
At the end i still stay at the newest Xiaomi.Eu Beta Rom.
Is it the device, or is it that the roms don't have ARB? My understanding was that the MM3 had it.
---------- Post added at 08:54 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:53 AM ----------
Either way, it's not a big problem so long as you don't re-lock the bootloader.

Just to be safe I used an ARB_Checker tool on my current ROM (global stable 10.3.2.0) and on the one I want to switch to (xiaomi.eu weekly beta 9.12.12) and the ARB both came back as 2, meaning I can downgrade back to my current ROM if needed. As long as the ARB number is the same you can switch between them with an unlocked bootloader.
