Help on J3 mission model j327VPP - Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) Questions & Answers

So I've been looking around for methods on getting it rooted, or at least some form of a custom recovery.
And I'm having difficulties finding anything at all for this specific model. (cannot find anything for twrp. Any progress thread for the device in general. Just seems like information is just lacking overall for it... As far as I've seen)
So if anyone could point me in a direction. Please let me know.

[Completed] TPT NVflash need direction

Good morning All!
This is my first post here, hopefully I post in the right place. I have an old TPT, perfect device for my kids, all it need to do is run Zoodles. Was running fine with CM9, then one day, a couple of months back, it got stock on the Lenovo boot splash. Was getting ready to move so it made it in a box.
Trying to fix it now. Nut looks like I am in need of some advice and direction.
This is what I have done so far.
Boot into recovery kernel and tried to restore from my backup I had done before putting CM9 on it. Tried factory reset, None of which works.
The closest I got is with the restore of my backup, then when It rebooted, Ut got past the first Lenovo boot splash, we see Nvidia splash, then Animated Lenovo splash start, then device turns off and then back on.
Within the recovery kernel when I look at the logs, there is complaints about /data being in read-only mode during restore. I cannot unmount or format /data.
I think at this stage my best chance is to restore to stock with NVFlash. I am a little uncomfortable doing this without some advice first.
I am trying to find the model details of the device, but needless to say that being my kids tablet, all stickers are gone. I do have the device open but I am unable to track a; model number inside.
Could anyone assist? I am a professional IT, but My android knowledge is limited.
Thank you.
Hi!
Unfortunately without knowing the exact model, you have no idea what is safe to flash.
Because you can't get into into the system...no help there. Most devices have model numbers inside by the battery.
I'd Google any numbers you do find inside, until one leads you to your device. But you need to be 1000% certain before flashing firmware....if you flash the wrong firmware, chances are the device will hard brick and that will be the end of it.
Not sure what we can do to help really. You can ask in the general Q&A section, but be careful what advice you take. No one can guess what device you have, and if anyone suggests firmware based on a guess....don't flash it. Maybe someone can help you determine without a doubt what model it is tho...

Yes, its a Lenovo ThinkPad tablet 1 (TPT)
If its Lenovo think pad, then you need to ask here....and specifically state the model number you found. You probably need to return it to stock, so you need to find out how to do that, and where to find the firmware for your exact model. Don't use anything not specifically for your model. The guys in the Lenovo section know those devices best, hopefully they can help.

[Completed] [Q] polaroid pro400B rom

Hello,
I have an old polaroid dual sim , it's not working very well so I'd like to speed it up by placing a custom rom on it. Unfortunately XDA doesn't have any relevant info about roms for this phone.
If anyone knows more about this phone or where to find the things i'm looking for, I'd be very glad.
Thanks in advance

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately low spec and low popularity devices like this just don't usually have ROMs developed for them, I can't find anything at all for this particular device. I found a thread that claims to be able to root Polaroid devices here:
Polaroid All in One - Root, Un-Root, Play Store, Should work on other devices
You could try that, but I can't say whether it's going to work or not, so it'll be trial and error. And please be aware that attempting an unknown method like this can be quite dangerous as the outcome is unknown, and stock firmware doesn't seem to be readily available to repair your phone in the case that something goes wrong.
Good luck!
Thread closed, thanks.

[Completed] Ematic EGQ223BL

Hi everyone,
I have recently come into an interesting and quite difficult problem to solve. I am not sure if I can solve it, but I figured I would pose the question. The tablet is an Ematic EGQ223BL . Someone gave it to me saying something was wrong with the touch screen. However, after doing some research, it seems that someone has flashed it with the wrong ROM which has resulted in the tablet booting up, but with no support for touch. The tablet is a 5.1.1 Lollipop and the website has no ROM for this device. Nowhere else seems to have it either. I would love to save the tablet because the reviews are 4 stars given it is generic. I am a Techie, so I would like to see it return to it's original glory if at all possible. Does anyone have links to a stock ROM for this device? She said she wanted it to be rooted and it came back to her like this. The ROM it was flashed with has a start screen that simply says "Tablet PC moving Forward" I was able to find a way to get into the recovery, but it does no good when I try to flash it. I use an SD card, I apply the update, and then I get an error. I am thinking because I cannot get into development options. TBH, I don't know what to do at this point. Should I chuck it in the garbage with the rest of the dinosaur tech, or is it redeemable? Thanks in advance!:good:

[Completed] Need Asus Pegasus 3 X008 Support

Good day everyone,
Just wondering why there isn't any forums or information about this device in terms of modifying it (i.e. how to root, unlock bootloader, custom recovery, custom rom etc. ) in the internet world. I've searched high and low on the web but found very little information about it.
I hope someone kindly looks into this device and consider to make custom roms etc. for it.
Thank you in advance.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Unfortunately we can not make a custom rom for a device we don't own, I have found this thread though that seems to have a bit of information on your device

Custom Device - Mobicel

Please forgive me if I do this wrong. (Newbie). I have a mobicel device which I believe is unique to our market (However is made in China). Is there perhaps a basic Rom that could be loaded onto the device? I'm not concerned whether all the features work, but would like to start experimenting with rooted devices and this device is currently not being used. If yes there is a basic Rom that could be "flashed" to the device please steer me in the right direction. If I'm over simplifying this, please tell me what I should do in order to know what the hardware specifications of the device are and then we start there. Thanking you in advance.
