Greetings everyone, I dont know if its the right place to ask but i am looking to buy a new budget tablet for my 8 years old. I would like a tablet that can be rooted and I can install a custom lightweight custom mod so it runs smoothly and will be able to upgrade to later versions of android. She had a samsung galaxy tab but it's stuck in 4.4 kitkat (tm113)
I was looking into maybe a lenovo (ZA1U0003US) since I saw a custom mod on here and itès 90$ but I would like your opinions. Thank you.

Is there any roms currently being developed for the this samsung galaxy tab plus tablet? I'm thinking of buying this tablet, but I don't want to stay stuck on honeycomb a few months while all the other tablets are running ICS. So is anybody making any custom kernels or roms right now?

I really like the new TouchWiz that is present in the new Samsung 5.0 Lollipop.
I have an Samsung Galaxy Express 2 - SM-G3815 - with Android 4.4.2 and i know that Samsung is not updating this one to 5.0.
Question : Is there a way to upgrade the touchwiz in my Galaxy Express 2 ?
Sorry for my bad English and hope there are some other people interested in this upgrade.

Well, as you said, you don't have Lollipop from Google (or Samsung).
But you have Cyanogen Mod 12 for your phone which is more or less like Lollipop.

I have tryed that mod and i don't like it.
I like the Samsung Brand Andoid and the new TouchWiz.

By the way, CynogenMod is a ROM like Lollipop, not a simple mod, if you didn't know
I know but i don't want a full rom with no NFC. Tryed it by the way.
I just want the stock rom with the new touchwiz ))
I think is time to buy an S4 or S5 Galaxy. But i don't use all the features that is why i like the Galaxy Express 2. Looks nice and at the and of the day it does what a phone it's supposed to do.
Hello all, I am brand new to this. I own a couple of Samsung Tab 2 10.1 from ATT and 3 Samsung Tab 2 7.0 wifi only. I am ready to root them and completely overhaul them with a good OS that is clean and fast. I'm tired of the stock apps running down my speed and battery life. I understand I can root them and install a clean OS. But I am completely LOST! Can anybody send me a link(s) for Androids for Dummies and help me get through this? I understand I can just install an original Android OS like Jellybean or Marshmallow, etc???

Hello everyone I have a friend who was given this smartphone, namely the Samsung Galaxy Core I8260 (not I8262), he would like to install a program however since I understand this program is supported by later versions of Android than the one installed (which if I'm not mistaken it's 4.1.2) I wanted to install a Custom Android Version though seeing this phone if it wants to pull it up as i can i want to mount the custom of android 5.0
So I wanted to know if that Android version exists for this smartphone.
As for the root permissions I saw in the guide as they get it.

Well most of the apps support KitKat(4.4.2), there is this rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...t-cyanogenmod-11-samsung-galaxy-core-t3468602 which i think will work out, also if possible tell me if GAPPS were working fine like opening emails and other stuff.
