The difficult part is that not all DZ09 watches can use the same stuff, it depends on your particular version of DZ09.
This seems to be the most active thread here for that device, try asking the experienced members there. Maybe someone there can point you in the right direction.

Do you need to download the hack kit? It can be time consuming downloading a 300mb + file from your phones data connection. Maybe take a laptop and drive to a local starbucks? mcdonalds? Some of them offer free wifi.
I haven't downloaded the hack kit I downloaded the one click rc2exe and also.the gold card tool I also already got the gold card image but just kinda need to know where to go from here should I go the route of the hack kit instead ?

Some people that use the one click report back with some sort of problem with no sound.. or something else. I used the hack kit and didn't have any problems. Its fairly easy for you now since the hardest part (creating the goldcard) is done, if you were to go with either the hack kit or the one click. Either way, both methods include their instructions. Follow them carefully.

I have the gold card image but have not made the card yet by the way I've been reading to use a separate card so I'm going to use my old 2 gig any other recommendations ? Also just finished downloading the hack kit so I guess I have two routes I can go now also I was wondering if you could tell me assuming you have already gone through all of this have you noticed a significant difference in the sound from the speaker is it improved/louder after rooting and flashing ? Also I would like to thank you for your help

No problem, a lot of us are here to help others. There's quite a bit to learn, so do a lot of reading.
Theres a video (quite old now) on youtube that shows you what to do. The hack kit was update but the video doesn't resemble that.
As far as the sound, some custom ROMs have a "fix" to improve the sound output of the speaker. I don't really use the speaker for phone calls. I sometimes use it to watch youtube.. I can't really comment on that.
Here are the links but please follow the instructions within the hack kit. Use the videos to give you an idea on the what the whole process involves.

Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUUo9EMlT5Y
Oh, and hit the Thanks button if you've felt I helped you.

If your going to use a different sd card, you are going to need a new gold card image.
Yes, that's right. Like mudknot2005 said, if you've already created a goldcard using 1 SD card and then decided that you want you use as different SD card, you have to recreate the goldcard. Thanks mudknot2005 for pointing that out!

Only for the rooting process...as a first read it came off as he was never able to use another SD card without re-creating the goldcard for future use

The topic of this thread is rooting and the reason to create a goldcard is to root. Not sure how the OP would not understand what i meant.
Hey thanks guys I understand what your saying and I kinda figured as much with the card image so as you said I maid sure that I used the same card I do have a question in regards to the hack kit though it seems as though it didn't download right or won't run right on my machine not sure one way or the other and just to cover my bases as it were I made sure that my fire wall and AntiVirus were disabled before I tied anything so I don't know the issue could be maybe ill try to just download and transfer the kit again
How are you downloading the hack kit without an internet connection? Are you downloading it using your phones data connection? You will most likely end up with errors if you did that.

Did you read my first reply to this thread? Do you have a laptop? Netbook? Or, take your phone to a local wifi hotspot and connect your phone to their wifi so you can connect to a more stable internet connection. Most places offer free wifi hotspot. Even the Super Stop & Shop near me offers free wifi hotspot.
Yes I did read your first reply and no i dont have a note or netbook of my own i will have see if i can barrow my sisters and will try tomorrow when I go in to town was just trying to see if I could get by with what I have right now you know immediate gratification and all lol but if i cant then i dont know what to do from there from what you said?
I have never had luck with doing any kind of modding to my phones. I was one of the few where the g2x actually worked. In the beginning I hated b/c of restartes but a hard reset for some reason fixed. That is besides the point. I figured a update from the manufacture would be a breeze, and nothing I shouldnt be able to handle. I followed lgs steps to a T and now my phone is stuck on s/w screen. After a google search I see that 100's have the same problem. I hate LG b/c of this, but I will worry about that latter. I need this fixed asap as I am a truck driver and I use my phone everyday for work. I noticed some people took a different direction at installing it by using a file called KDZ. I also saw some mention of needing a driver from forums. I saw a link on lgs site for this also, but their instruction didnt mention anything about needing to download it.
My biggest problem is I need step by step instructions to do this. I have ZERO experiance at this type of thing therefore any missed step with most likly throw me off. So I need this run down to me like your telling it to a kid lol not someone that has done this before and is familiar with steps left out. Mainly things like if I need the KDZ file, how do I download it, what do I do with it after I download it? Do I download it to my phone or computer and then my phone? I need detailed info so I understand how this stuff works please. I have tried using the KDZ file already and it either freezes or cant find my phone. My phone also is not recognized by the lg update anymore either. I noticed some people were stuck at 4 percent. I actually got to about 50 when it said to remove battery and restart test because of conection issues or something along those lines.. I did as it instructed and here I am lol.
Like I said I need my phone working asap so any help is appreciated. Also if someone tells me to just download this and that and it will fix it, I most likly will be lost. If this need to be unziped after download or little key information like that is left out I will not know to do it.
Thank you for the help and sore for the spelling and punctiation. I am on a old phone.
Recently I have switched from my hard headed (non smarphone) ways, to using a prepaid smart phone, it is an entry level phone, and I only have facebook ap installed. I would like more and I have a memory card in it as well. However the mass amounts of updates from aps I never use clog up my memory and lag my phone down quite a bit.
Lots of post on Rooting and Super Users, and other things like Backups and all that.
I do not understand a lick of it. Is there one ap that lets me just go in and delete these pre installed aps?
If not, is there a walk through (step by step) option that I could follow, on my pc, or my phone.
Any help will be awesome. I am not good with this, so keep in mind each and every detail will help me, skipping any minute detail will only hurt me. links also help.
TY

sorry mate it looks like rooting is your only way, phone company's put a thing in the boot loader in the phone that makes it detect the bloatware the phone comes with and will Brick your device. now since I see your phone comes with gingerbread you may be able to use this GingerBreak this works on most gingerbread phones so its worth a try on yours! if it works on your phone send a message to the creater of the method and give him a thanks!
Hi , im new here and really need some advice.
I purchased a Z3 this week and bought it second hand , even though it is new but without box. I found out it has the dreaded demo app installed because i think it was ex-display in a phone shop. Once i plug in the charge it deletes my photos, contacts, apps etc. and comes up with the demo video. Iv'e tried the codes people usually use and done something else using the computer someone suggested ,but nothing works. I was thinking about rooting the phone but after looking on forums i can't seem to find anything to explain how to root it or even if it's possible yet because its a new phone. Iv'e tried to delete the app it has but it just keeps coming back. So need to find someone way that is like rooting the phone to get access to delete it permanently. If anyone can help , would be much appreciated. Thanks:good:
Greetings,
I've been here before but forgot my logon info, so hi.
I could really use help finding local in-person help. I've tried to trouble shoot and fix the problem myself, but seem to be only tearing my hair out trying all manner of different things. I've got a Samsung Note 4 (SM-N910T) with bootup issues. I've tried to work through all sorts of various potential solutions but really even with all I read, don't know enough about what's wrong, I've tried downloading Odin, Kies, and even got SkipSoft toolkit. This is the second device I've had with similar problems. I haven't been able to fix either one.
I figure someone to whom this is second nature who is very familiar with these sorts of bootup / boot reloader (mmc, pit issues, downloading, etc.) / freezing on the t-mobile screen issues would be very familiar with this stuff and would be able to fix it a LOT quicker than I can.
I'm trying to find someone local who might be able to help fix it either for $ and/or for trades/barters of some kind. I'm in the Philadelphia, PA / South New Jersey Area (Burlington County & Camden County). Most of the stores that do repairs only seem to want to do things like screen repairs, etc. If I can't find someone in South Jersey or Philly, I may be going to Baltimore soon, or Delaware is even possible.
Any suggestions or referrals are appreciated, thanks!

Greetings and welcome to assist. Unfortunately this isn't the sort of thing we do at assist. If you have tried kies emergency firmware recovery and that doesn't work all I can suggest is taking it to your local service centre as it may have hardarw issues
Good Luck

I just figured there's gotta be SOME members of XDA who are experienced and local who might be able to help. Do you have a recommendation on where I can post in order to find such local help?
I've tried different things, but I really don't have an intuitive sense for it, or what the error codes mean. Everything I research has so many responses saying different things, on do it this way if.. and then when I try to research how it behaved, or whatever, there are a bunch of different answers to that.
Where do I find a "local service center" that deals with phones of this vintage AND doesn't just want to do things like replace cracked screens?

You may be able to get someone to assist you through team viewer but we can't really recommend anyone. What is the actual issue if you use kies/odin to return your phone to stock ? If you factory reset and then install stock firmware again and still have issues then it may be hardware problems

It seems like a different problem each time. I just ran it again (Kies 3) and it said.. Notice F "The PC failed to recognise the mobile phone." (The PC seems to be seeing it as MSM8960 which is different than I saw with my other phone that had problems.) For all I know, this could be partly a windows 10 problem (I've had suuuuch issues with installing drivers for old devices under windows 10,) or it could be my cable, or it could be the phone, or it could be a combination of both. And I'm sure user error is somewhere in there, too.

Have you tried switching to smartswitch instead of kies? That may work better in Windows 10. Also make sure to use emergency firmware recovery and put the phone in download mode

Sometimes it boots, gets to the t-mobile screen and freezes (blue pulsing led).
Sometimes I get the green guy with it being ok.
Sometimes I get the green guy with errors.
Sometimes I get Firmware upgrade has encountered an error. (with no errors.)

Also, not sure how to use emergency firmware recovery, when I select that option, it asks me for a recovery code... that I don't have and I'm not sure how to get. Then it says something about another PC?
Maybe that is part of my problem, I'm trying firmware upgrade and install because I do have the model and serial number.
and now I can't get it out of odin mode..
Ahhhhhh!!! I *finally* got someone at my phone company to fix the problem with an exchange! (For the record, one of my phones had a problem ages ago and I couldn't get them to fix it under warranty like they should have.) And the 2nd more recent phone with similar problems is also getting fixed!! I'd still like to find some local talent, but... I no longer _need_ it at this time!! YAY!
Thanks for your time and responses, Sawdoctor! Happy new year!
