Firstly, apologies if this is not the right section.
We all know that android source code is available. So my question is how can I build the source code and install on any device? For example if I have an old device for which updates are not available. Can we just flash it with any android stock rom?Not talking about custom rom.
Can we take the source from github and just build and flash on our device?Because android is hardware independent? Like we can install ubuntu on any system?
Hi guys!I want to become an android developer and I know about the AOSP project, but I have not found based of android versions.I want worker on ICS ROM for galaxy pocket(GT-S5300)or cyanogenmod 9,but on a "pure"ROM,without any modification, like nexus android version, for worked on it and optimize for any devices.
1)How I can optimized an android version like Nexus devices for a specific device?
2)Where I can download the necessary for a ROM or a ROM to be optimized?
Thanks
Simply start by downloading cori's source and aosp android of your choice, then edit & merge things from source to aosp then compile.
Hi,
I have some questions about building ROM.
I'm new to all these stuffs but I'm kinda used to porting ROMs. I'm trying to build SlimRom for my MTK device. My question is where do I get a guide on how to build a ROM from source code or MTK devices. Or anyone out there ready to help?
Thank you.
