Good lock

Samsung released this new software (good lock ) for the new galaxys..what do you think about?
It seems that it requires android M 6 to work..
Any ideas on how to make it work on galaxy s4?
Let's discuss

It needs Android Marshmallow to work. Otherwise, it won't. I would love to have that app working on our S4s it seems almost too impossible for it to happen.

[SOLVED] Doubts about battery and update on new Honor 6x

Hi l've two questions:
- After I unbox the honor 6x I should put it in charge?
- First thing I want to do is to update to Android N. I need a factory reset after the update?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, so for your 1st question an immediate charge doesn't matter that much. Generally stay between 20 and 80% when possible, to preserve battery life.
2nd question: you don't really need that, for example i didn't made a factory reset from MM to N and everything goes well, but once you've updated to Nougat you could do one factory reset just to let the OS "stabilize" better with the phone... It wouldn't change much, but I've seen some people advising that after an update.

Noob question, if I do the reset after the update I will stay on N right? It doesn't turn back to M.
Curiosity, out of the box how many updates i have to do? How much is big the N update?
Inviato dal mio ASUS_Z00LD utilizzando Tapatalk
Obviously yes, you'll remain on N. Well the full update package it's around 2,47GB, if you update step by step via system update the package could be lighter since than it'll extrapolate only necessary files to upgrade, but since that it's a full version update more than an update regarding security patches, ecc. i think that it'll be around the size that i mentioned above. You need to update only once, the most recent package will be automatically downloaded in way that you won't have to do manually one update after another.
Can i turn on the phone and update to nougat without a sim inserted?

Of course, if you do that via Wi-Fi. You can't only with branded phones, if I'm not wrong.

I think sim is needed..may be to register the phone on network. Haven't tried yet without sim but I think sim is needed to register the imei on network and to have oem send the update based on IMEI.
I could be wrong though

To me it isn't bro. Time ago it was possible, especially because the OEM server can recognize by itself the IMEI of the device that is asking for the update, so it'll automatically sent the correct package to the phone. The SIM is surely required for everything that could evee require a network related function, or setting. The WiFi method will work

So you are on Marshmallow, and you didn't received notifications about updates yet? There was two updates on the road, B360 and B365, the latest for this build. Whoa so things have changed, have you tried to search it with a sim inserted? Otherwise you could try to force the update by going on system update -> clicking on the 3 dots in the upper right corner -> select download latest update, to check if something is found.
Sì sono di Milano, scrivimi pure via PM :good:

So @shashank1320 hypothesis was right and mine was wrong, i apologize guys. Once it was possible even without sim inserted, i did it by myself on my previous Samsung phone, but things are changed indeed. Go on and update now

For every new phone I had ever since I was allowed to have one, I always drain the battery on first use. After that, I do my regular routine of 20% minimum to charge.

For first batteries yeah, it was correct to give a first full charge after a complete discharged battery, i used to do the same. Nowadays batteries works differently, and li-po batteries doesn't require this anymore; it's worst to let the battery reach 0% because it will burn ions capacity faster than maintaining it between 20-80%

Thanks, but I'm not able to find that option in my phone.
Go to Additional settings and change region to any country that support face unlock (ex: Vietnam...) then go to lockscreen & password to use it

I've got to at least give them a clue. If only there was a search bar in settings to search for "face" hmmmm
