New AI function of Kirin 980 on View20? - Honor View 20 Guides, News, & Discussion

AI is really the buzzword and it's actually a strong ability that Kirin 980 promotes. I noticed Kirin 980 will be used on View20 so what new AI based features will View20 have?
Really appreciate the application of AI ability in photography and the translation feature in Magic 2.
Really amazing but I'm still expecting something new.

I think it must be Link Turbo! Check this link, it talks about Link Turbo’s details.:
https://www.androidauthority.com/honor-view-20-933079/
I think that’s an amazing technology because you can use Wi-Fi and 4G signal together. For example, when you are playing a game and you also want to check your WhatsApp, the downloading speed will be decreased if the phone only uses Wi-Fi or 4G. So you will be offline and lose the game easily. But on view 20, it can use Wi-Fi to download gaming data and use 4G to chat simultaneously, which means both downloading speeds can be assured.
Samsung also did this on the Galaxy S5 with Download Booster before, but Honor’s new version, Link turbo, I think it has improved a lot after these years.
The news also mentions when one signal is bad, the smartphone seamlessly switches to the better alternative, allowing users to always stay online. That’s a perfect function for a gamer like me.
Regarding the relevance to Kirin 980, when I want to figure out how it works, I found the introduction of Kirin 980’s connectivity.
https://www.hihonor.com/global/kirin980/
“With the Hi1103, it supports a theoretical peak download speed of 1.7 Gbps and 160 MHz bandwidth.” To some extends, I think this helps the realization of Link Turbo, putting Wi-Fi and 4G together because Kirin 980 can support a higher download speed and this is the foundation for Link Turbo. The report I posted also said, “Link Turbo leverages AI and big data to analyze network conditions and figure out the best way to deliver an optimal result.”
So Link Turbo not only utilizes Kirin 980’s AI ability but also develops it. This indeed packs a punch over other smartphones, especially in connectivity.

This feature has been around for years, it has nothing to do with ai.

Honor/Huawei are designing their smartphones in such a way it stands out from other devices like the design, chip-set performance or the AI function. It is good to see that their phones have high spec and a reasonable pric tag.

In-depth Review of New Android EKEN M009 & Zenithink C71

From the time Jobs released ipad, the portable pc tablets have been in furious battle, changes never stop, except the mainstay product ipad series, more other brands are bored with their identified products, like Motorola, Sumsung & Lenovo. According to market diversification, manufactures compete to develop all kinds of special-designed products, thus, tablets' strengths are dotted everywhere from designers' mind.
Here I'm willing to give a comprehensive review on two classical tablets.

Frankly speaking, compared with the former tablet, the latter is better equipped, possessed with stronger functionalities. By practical operation, we can install and play 3D games on Zenithink C71. Besides, not only can you process multi-tasks with your control panel, but high-definition videos are completely supported for broadcasting. All in all, the most value stuff relies on its interactive design of video communication.
To evaluate the two, the later one counts better performance, better reaction speed, better touch-sensitive, better software compatibility and smoother apps processing.
It's no doubt the user experience counts the most important point among all other specialties.
Shortly, the portable panel tablet has now developing from ARM11 to Cortex A8/A9; customers are more emphasized on the functionalities and user experience.

[Q] Gaming with buttons on Android

Okay, I said somewhere here that I'm checking out China phones. I know most of them get bad rep, but I think there are decent ones and I'm thinking, why not? I'm starting to afford stuff, and I'm thinking about gaming in Android. With some China phones being affordable but with good specs, maybe it's time to buy one even as a spare. I am currently looking at this:
MUCH i5 Professional Game Phone 5 Inch IPS Screen MTK6589 Android 4.2 OS 1G+4G 8MP Camera 3G/GPS - Black

Anyway, it looks good enough and affordable but I have some questions on choosing a possible gaming phone:
* Would this work with most games?
* Is it better to have this, or would it be better to buy something like a gamepad controller/add-on to Android phones, like this one which I saw from the Accessories thread here: http://dx.com/p/wamo-wireless-bluetooth-gamepad-for-android-ios-cell-phone-pc-black-222605.
* Do you have any other suggestions on anything that would involve being able to use dpads and buttons for gaming?
Anyone?

[Geek Lab] What is NFC? Where can I find it on HONOR 9A?

NFC has become a standard feature in mid-range and high-end smartphones, but it may sound more like a cool novelty than something you'd actually use. However, the more you learn about NFC, the more you'll be drawn to using it in daily life.
That realization has inspired me to write a bit on NFC, to provide some key background information — what it is, where it comes from, how it works, and how it can be used, etc. — hopefully you'll find it useful when "integrating" NFC into your life.
Let's start with the obvious: What is the origin of NFC? What does it do? Where can you find it?
(1) How did NFC come to be?
NFC's roots date back to 2003, when Phillips and Sony were in the midst of planning a wireless communication solution based on contactless card technology. After three months of closed-door R&D, the two companies unveiled their achievement for the world: Near Field Communication (NFC), which was compatible with the ISO 14443 contactless card standard.

To better promote and popularize NFC, the two electronics giants brought Nokia into the fold in 2004 and established a non-profit organization, the NFC Forum, to formulate technical specifications and industry standards which would ensure that the new service could work properly on a wide range of different devices. The NFC Forum now includes hundreds of members, including LG, Samsung, Intel and Huawei.
(2) What does NFC do?
NFC, or Near Field Communication, is a wireless communication/connectivity technology that works over short distances of less than 10 cm. To incorporate NFC functionality, smartphones come with a built-in NFC module that consists of a contactless front-end unit, radio frequency (RF) antenna(s) and a security area.
Due to NFC's short-range nature, this feature is most suitable for private face-to-face data exchanges and communications, such as digital payments and identify authentication. The graph below provides a good sense of how NFC can be used to provide a bunch of common daily services.
(3) Which phones support NFC?
NFC is available on most mid-range and high-end smartphones. The Chinese smartphone e-brand Honor, for example, has released a slew of premium models — the Honor 20/Honor 10 series and View 20/View 10 series, all of which offer NFC. That's to be expected. But what's particularly noteworthy is that the brand's soon-to-be-released entry-level model, Honor 9A (retailing at just €149 EUR), is rumored to also feature NFC — that's a highly encouraging development, and a sign that NFC has truly gone mainstream!
