[MOD] [MAGISK-MODULE] Original SHIELD Tablet System UI Sounds - Shield Tablet Android Development

Here is a simple Magisk module to replace the system UI sounds with those that came with the tablet. Ok maybe not the original sounds, as these were pulled from stock firmware 1.5.0. They are the clicky noises I really liked, so I wanted to bring them back.
I have tested this on the latest STOCK firmware for my device.
Thanks @topjohnwu for MAGISK!!! (and module template)
Newer Thread

Thank you for this, just flashed it on my HTC 10, HTC M8, and my Shield. Works amazing and I love having the crisp clicky sounds again!

Update:
*Added Support for Android Q
*Added Option to chose which sounds to install

Synergy ROM is a brand new ROM that I cooked up utilizing a combination of all the hard work done across the XDA community. I baked this based on my personal preferences and a general consistency across a lot of EVO users. I wanted it to be fast, stable and usable. I think that I have a good start. I would love to hear your feedback.

Flashing it. Good Luck.

looks clean. DL and flashing in a bit. Then will post some battery screenshots tomorrow after overnight sit... Keep in mind I will be running with a 2200mah ext battery. NOT the standard or Seido 3500. later
Thanks to those of you who have tried my ROM, I greatly appreciate the feedback and ways to improve.
The link does not work for me, can I get a mirror
Here is a few mirrors:
http://www.zshare.net/download/82342441250ff909/
http://www.multiupload.com/MU_2LZ5YFL5HI
I tried the both of them, Zshare says it will begin shortly, (this is after waiting the initial wait time) but never starts. Mega upload says the file is not available at this time. I would really like to try this ROM out.
finally got it to work!

May I make a suggestion?
Use Multiupload like I do. It uploads to all download sites so you have multiple mirrors setup with one download.
I had download issues with my ROM, since then they are a thing of the past.
Edit: Nevermind looks like you did already. Carry on
What happened to the stock keyboard? Can you please include the stock keyboard. HTC mod does not have arrows.
Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback so far, I will include the standard IME keyboard in the next release. I have some other ideas as well but I want to know what you would like to see. Thanks.
Synergy ROM and Tether
This ROM is smooth. Like the Launcher Pro integration. Was unable to import my File Organizer set up and having some troubles with restoring Tether. Prob user error on my part, but any of you have suggestions? I really like this ROM. I was a previous Fresh user and find this one superlative..
Thanks I am glad that you like the ROM. As for restoring I assume you are using titanium backup? If so make sure you click on the "Problems?" button on the main page as this will install the correct version of busybox. Give that a try and see how it works. As for the folder organizer, not quite sure why that wouldn't work, seems like it might be an application issue. Try uninstalling, clearing the cache (cache cleaner app) then reboot and start again.
Hope this helps out!!
Got the file organizer to work! Dum on my part. Still working on getting the Mobile Hotspot to work. It worked once but then disconnected and since then have not been able to reconnect. Thank you much for your guidance. This is a most streamlined ROM.
Sorry for my nuisance and inexperience. Got both the hotspot tether and the file organizer to work!! This ROM scored real high on the Quadrant:1333 after changing out the kernel for 11 EVO. If this ROM is just the Beta I am sticking around!! Keep working it up, I am going to keep this ROM a while!!
after testing this ROM for a little I am seeing that the battery power runs low quick, which seems to be an issue with alot of the ROMs out there.. work on that and this ROM will surely be extra awesome..

OUT OF DATE I RECOMMEND USING THE OTA INSTEAD
THREAD CLOSED, NOTHING NEW TO SEE HERE
---------
This is the FINAL release of Tsugi. There are just too many bugs with the G2X regardless of which Rom a person is using to deal with. I have spent 80% of my time tracking down issues that are due to LG's code and firmware.
If someone wants to take Tsugi and fix any existing issues, they may feel free to do so. I'm not picky, as long as credit is given for the work that I did.
THIS IS BASED ON LG CODE. AS SUCH, THERE ARE A FEW KNOWN ISSUES THAT CANNOT OR HAVE NOT YET BEEN RESOLVED. DO NOT POST ANY ISSUES UNLESS YOU HAVE READ POST #2 IN ITS ENTIRETY.
---------
LATEST NEWS 1-8-12
This, 1-4, is the FINAL release of Tsugi.
Fixed in this release is the signing issue that was causing Market purchases to fail. Also returning is Google Backup Transport.
NOTE: This Rom is Carrier-IQ FREE!
There are a number of addons that can be flashed after running the full install or the update. Not only can you flash to the P990 (LG) Camera, you can now restore the stock Android Music (instead of Google Music), set touchkey lights to be less bright, overclock and undervolt, or just overclock without undervolting for more stability. All of this and more AT POST NUMBER THREE.
Bloater is included in the Rom. If you select G2X (Lotherius) from the Bloater menu, you can add/remove a large number of items from the Rom, including T-Mobile bloat.

NOTE!!! Any themes will need to be updated to 12-31 Compatibility or Settings will crash when using LG Keyboard!

FAQ / KNOWN ISSUES / TROUBLESHOOTING
READ THIS BEFORE POSTING THAT SOMETHING DOES NOT WORK AS EXPECTED!
I didn't want to put this at the top, but I guess I have to.
IF YOU ARE USING ONE OF THE ADDON OVERCLOCKING KERNELS YOU ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR PHONE MAY BECOME UNSTABLE, CRASH, REBOOT, OR TAKE OVER THE GALAXY AS OUR NEW ANDROID OVERLORD.
It may look like there are MORE known issues with this Rom than there are with others. I don't believe there are. The difference is, I'm open and honest about every flaw I know of, whether I think it is due to the quality of my own work, or is a pre-existing issue with the LG firmware or even hardware. You shouldn't have to "just know" about certain problems. So I'm very clear about any known issues. Many of these issues exist in other LG Roms as well, they just are not documented.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- TIPS --
If you have any problems installing the Rom, wipe the system completely by flashing G2XScrubber from Post #3 and then flash the Rom again. This applies especially if coming from any other 2.3.4 Rom other than Tsugi (Such as Jboxer's Roms) since they have a different kernel than I use.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- DOWNLOADER TRICKS--
1: I flashed this Rom and it won't boot/bootloops/loads but everything is messed up!
Make sure you actually downloaded the correct file. Only the CORE DOWNLOAD is a full Rom. You may not, cannot, and will regret, if you use an Updater on any other Rom. If you are still having trouble flashing, use the G2XScrubber from post #3 first. It will format your system, cache and data partitions pre-wipe to make sure there are no leftovers from an older Rom.
2: I flashed the Rom, and now my themes are gone!
By "No-Wipe" in this case, it *does* wipe the /system/ partition which is where your themes and boot animations are loaded. Your data partition, however, is safe. You will need to reinstall any themes or SYSTEM Add-Ons that you installed in CWM or with Root access.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- BROKEN STUFF --
1: I get reboots when mounting/unmounting my SD Card.
This appears to be an issue in the underlying LG code which I have not found the cause for at this time. It does not affect all users, so it may have to do with individual SD Cards. If you are having this problem, try formatting both your internal and external SD Cards. I don't know if that will fix it, though, as I personally don't have the problem.
2: I get a SOD or Crash while using Bluetooth.
Again, it appears to be an underlying LG Issue. I've made a little progress, but still haven't solved the issue.
3: My phone randomly reboots.
Appears that there may still be some LG issues with that. My phone doesn't do it, but some do. If you're using the Under Volted kernel, then try the Stock Voltage one. Hope for a bug-free ICS release. See Broken Stuff #1 also. Use the stock kernel if all else fails.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- KNOWN ISSUES --
1: A popup says "radio was denied root permissions" when I boot my phone!!!!
Run the Toggle2G app. Approve root permissions. If you don't want the Toggle2G app, you can remove it using Bloater, which is pre-installed. You didn't uninstall Bloater, did you?
2: The Reboot and Recovery options are missing.
These 2 items have been temporarily removed from the Power Menu until I can further troubleshoot issues people were having getting the phone to actually, you know, shut off. For now, use the included 2XReboot app if you need to easily reboot into recovery. But really, with Rom Manager updates now, you shouldn't need to!
3: I got a force close from the Media process on first bootup!
This is due to a corrupt file or thumbnail on your memory card. It will only happen on the first bootup, but if it really bugs you you'll have to remove the corrupt file from your memory card. Most of the time it's a thumbnail. This bug also exists on stock LG Roms, it isn't a Tsugi issue.
4: I flashed Faux123 or DragonG2X or some other kernel and it doesn't work right! Y U NO MAKE IT WORK?
Actually... ..... download Oyasumi - the 2.3.4 overclocking Kernel from Post #3 - and you'll be all set. Oyasumi is essentially Faux123 1.3 recompiled and packed with init scripts for 2.3.4. So you should expect the same performance - and issues - of Faux123 v1.3. That said, I cannot and will not troubleshoot crash/freeze/reboot/SOD issues with any kernel other than the one that comes in the core ROM.
5: I don't want WiFi Calling.
Then delete /system/app/kineto.apk with root explorer. If you do you're going to get force closes immediately, but just pull battery and restart, and it will all be good. There is some debate over whether or not the libraries that support it use battery. I don't think they do, but Kineto.apk sure does. Soon you'll be able to remove it using the Bloater app.
6: My GPS is screwy. Again.
Lol, so is mine. But seriously, folks... This includes the best GPS fix I could find and it works for me and many others. It's still not where I'd say I'm "pleased" with it, but it has gotten me out of pinches. That said, it is tuned for the central USA. If you are in Europe or Uzbekistan or Atlantis, then you might need to redo your gps.conf with some local servers. That's something the factory normally does for you when it targets the market to sell a phone to.
7: I don't like the boot animation.
Instead of messaging me privately with your feelings about how the boot animation threatens your masculinity, learn to change it yourself. For those who don't feel threatened by it, it's actually a reference to a character named Kyuube from the anime Madoka Magica. And, once you get to know the character, he's the anti-cute.
---------------
What? Your issue isn't one of those above? Congratulations, you might have a reason to gripe/complain/compliment! Go for it!
Tsugi Addons & Packs
A collection of PACKS AND ADDONS for Tsugi 2.3.4. Some of these may work on other Roms, but they are specifically designed to work on the L95G 2.3.4 leak upon which Tsugi is based, and specifically on Tsugi itself.
G2X Scrubber
The G2X Scrubber is designed to format your system, data and cache partitions. It will also take them back to ext3 after having had them as ext4 partitions, so you can use an ext3 kernel. If you want to revert to the STOCK kernel on Tsugi after using Oyasumi, this is required. It is also useful to ensure a FULL WIPE with no traces of the old left behind. WARNING: THIS WILL WIPE YER PHONE. It won't be bootable after run this script, UNTIL you Flash a New Rom. Instructions: 1. Flash G2X Scrubber in CWM. 2. Flash ANY Rom of Your Choice.

Themes
Theme #1: COLD - By Lotherius - Download -- Screenshots -- Updated 12-31
This theme gives you a bright status bar, notification pulldown and popups. Shadows are chilled, and those warm oranges all over have been frozen to a cold blue. Even the normal black backgrounds in Android have taken on a slight chill. What you can't see in the screenshots is that nearly all of the framework & SystemUI effects have been recolored to have the blues. Not only the overscroll, but radio buttons, checkboxes, pressed item highlights, etc. (note: Wallpaper in the screenshots is available in the Wallpaper Gallery already). Download updated to V2 with fixes for bluetooth crashing and updater-script issue that may have prevented it actually working.
Theme #2: Colorized Androidian - By bmann_420 -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1374860 -- Screenshots in post.
Theme #3: Original Tsugi Theme -- Download -- The original theme from Tsugi 12-7 and older. Settings.apk still has color because I didn't feel like making a separate Settings file, and some fixes were made in the settings. But the rest of the theme is from the older Tsugi.

Flashing roms does not effect your baseband.
Nandroid backup, just like you should be doing before flashing anything. =)
Ill give it a shot for sure. The main reason I like changing kernels is for battery life. If this works out in that respect, that would be sweet. Especially if the lg cam works

I am in on this one. Just unpacking but a couple of early comments.
Can you default or bloat pack the LG camera. The stock camera is very bad, and using a custom ROM should improve. Anyone wanting a standard camera can easily download the Camera 360 or what not for free....the LG camera is unique to the phone.
Seem the notifications now are a bright light faint baby blue, which is absolutely fine, not like a deep blue on black, so remove my previous request for change of color.
You were talking about Weapon under the hood changes for twlauncher, I presume if I choose I can install the twlauncher without problems here?
already missing the wallpaper choice you had for Baka
off to try camera install and twlauncher now.

I've had great luck with the battery. You can still use a screen off profile with an app like Pimp my CPU, you just can't OC or UV.
And, I just flashed LG Cam 3.0, and it worked as perfectly as ever... which is to say, if you don't mind a wonkey FFC.. ... Maybe I'll tackle THAT project next since flak0 got ran off the g2x forum ...

1) Well, the problem with the LG Cam is it messes with the front-facing cam for those who use it, so it's pretty broken in that respect. Downloading a 3rd party camera doesn't fix that.
2) I like the new color too.
3) I didn't make the under the hood changes weapon has for TW, so it will probably not work.
4) You can get the wallpapers by flashing the recommended bloat from BakaG2X... it should flash fine.
And... I just noticed something I left in that I was using for myself.... the script that dims the touch key lights.... If that bothers anyone, I'll post a patch for it tomorrow. It's at the end of one of the init scripts - I got tired of using an app to do it.
EDIT:
In addition to the old walls, I plan on including some variation of the attached image in the next build, probably as a boot screen if I can manage to animate it somehow.
Nice, Looking forward to the boot animation
I haven't tried any of the 2.3.4 leaks, are they relativity stable? Meh, doesn't matter anyway, I'll give this a shot.
Had an issue with Keyboard settings option FC when I try to go into it.
flashed twice... no vibrate... few other FC when navigating in settings...

Honestly, they're more stable than 2.3.3 in my experience with it so far... though it could just be being forced to use a stock kernel that gives that illusion.... no 1550mhz overheats.

very... strange... I have full vibration and haven't had a single FC in settings. Can you clarify if you wiped in recovery (though I think this ROM normally wipes on its own), and what you were doing when you had issues in settings?

As previous comment said, I don't want to just copypasta everything from Weapon. Also, I did take a look at Weapon to see how he did things internally... there are a lot of changes in Weapon you don't see up front. They were required most likely to get Touchwiz working, but still a lot more than most people realize. Since I don't need/want TW, then no need/want to do all that editing
This will not change your baseband. The device the 2.3.4 was leaked from is identical to the G2X in every way, so it is as if this ROM were built for the G2X. You'll be able to flash this as easily as any G2X rom and leave as easily as any G2X Rom.. the only thing you can't do is use custom kernels while you're on this ROM since we don't have 2.3.4 kernel source.
ICS animations are in the ROM already ... though I'm not happy with the speed of the "short" animations, they run faster on LG than on other devices I've seen. I may tweak the speed a bit more. Also keep in mind it's the 2.3 launcher, so the launcher itself doesn't do the same animation as the rest of the rom.
If it turns out I don't get a new job soon I might try my hand at a sliding panel. But, no guarantee as it's a lot of work... and the only reason I've been so productive right now is I'm between jobs...

I've cleared davlik and cache when installing the wrong and having the same issues. Only FC in keyboard though.
Are you in any particular app when the keyboard gave you trouble? I am trying it out again right now and haven't had a single force close. But if others are having the same problem then maybe there is an incompatibility i have just missed. I can pull it from the rom if it turns out to be unreliable .
Edit: I missed where you said settings.. again, it has been fine for me . Maybe i should reflash and make sure nothing got messed up in the final archive.. Not jappy with tje accuracg anf correctjon on this keyboard anywau. Maube someone will come out wiyh a real ICS keyboard that isnt crippled soon.

Mod Pack II X

May I have your attention here please! Just some news/announcements
There seems to be a bug for some people after installing Mod Pack II X 0.7, which causes Caller ID to not work for some. There is a solution, and all it involves is deleting your contacts. Of course, many of you probably wouldn't want to do that, but you may back them up beforehand (such as with Google Contacts Sync), delete them off your device, then restore them. Sorry for any inconveniences caused, but I don't see what could be causing this bug and the fix is so simple (and debugging in smali is HELL) that I'm not going to look into fixing it. Just take the workaround, which I got from @daver18qc:

MOD PACK II X
As the name implies, Mod Pack II X is a series of mods packaged together for the Samsung Galaxy Ace II X (GT-S7560M). The purpose of the mods is to enhance several aspects of usability (such as performance, visual interface, et cetera) while maintaining a seemingly stock ROM, in terms of stability. There are going to be dozens of incremental updates, that will include new modifications (and or fixes for any mods that may have been done incorrectly). To install any version of the Mod Pack II X, just download the .zip file and install it with your preferred custom recovery. The only requirements are that you be on stock ROM, and that your ROM is deodexed. Below is the information that will change for each update.
Table of Contents:

Changelog - Post 2
What's coming in next release - Post 3

Other little things that I can't seem to remember, either because I have memory-issues or because there are just so many things
Better aligned and transitioned AOSP lockscreen clock
Send some screenshots this way please. Some community effort required.
If you notice any bugs, please feel free to report them here. If you'd like to request a mod, post it here and I'll see if I can get it done.
If you don't like Mod Pack II X, and you wish to revert to stock, flash this zip in recovery to remove and replace Mod Pack II X modded files with unmodified ones.

Fun facts and more
Starting at version 0.6, each release will have codename - a letter in the Greek alphabet that corresponds to the release number. Ex. Version 0.6 is called Zeta because Zeta is the 6th letter of the Greek alphabet.
I chose the Greek alphabet for codenaming because I love Greek yogurt.
Mod Pack II X was a spontaneous idea. I never would've imagined myself doing all sorts of mods last year. It was supposed to be a one time thing, but it was popular, so I continued modding and releasing Mod Packs.
I'm a 12 year old. Seriously. I've found an online home away from home (even though I mostly use the internet while home) called XDA. I'm really grateful I turned out the way I am, because I love helping people in anyway I can.
Just one suggestion, add your phone model to thread's title. So newbies won't flash this and blame you.

Please don't post here if you're going to say negative things about the phone when you probably don't even have it. And actually, the phone is pretty decent. Yes, the Ace 2 may be better (we have an enhanced Adreno 200 as our GPU) but I would have bought the Ace 2 if it were available in Canada. With overclock and numerous mods applied, I was able to get a better benchmark than the Galaxy S. Considering my phone isn't the best phone, I think it's still pretty good. Once us owners of the Ace II X start building some ROMs (I'm actually working on AOSP ICS), performance issues will be swept away. It's all caused by Touchwiz. If you're interested in researching our device a bit more, you can look for Galaxy S Duos specs because it is identical to my Ace II X other than the dual sim comparability.

Are you running a deodexed ROM? What firmware build version are you running? I'm sure that the cause of your FC is on your fault. I have tested v0.6 numerous times.

Hi there. I have a Galaxy Trend s7560 and i found this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2343108. Do you think it will brick my device if i flash it? Everywhere i look, i see the S7562 and S7560 are the same, the only difference being the dual-sim property. Thanks in advance.

First of all, why are you posting this here? This thread is for MOD PACK II X ONLY. Please refrain from posting unrelated comments here in the future. Instead, post in the regular Ace II X discussion thread here. It certainly wouldn't (or shouldn't) brick your device, but RIL may not work properly since that ROM is designed for the dual sim counterpart of our models. You'd also probably get some annoying messages popping up about the second sim card not being detected (because there is no second sim slot on the Trend/Ace II X). If you're up to it, you could ask Mohitash to help you port the ROM for your specific device (based off of Trend firmware, and thus based off of "single sim" files).

XPosed & Modules: "Feature Enhancements" good enough to return to stock rom...?
(if this thread is missplaced please apologize and move it - I think this could take some space and I didnt want to clutter the xposed thread with it)
Henooy guys,
I'm using a Galaxy Note N7000 and since the day I had my first custom rom on my phone (think it was aokp-based) I never wanted to go back to stock.
But now with XPosed Framework and all those modules aiming at replacing all the cool custom-aosp rom tweaks, has game changed?
On Samsung devices for example, you miss out quite a lot of nice features (while gaining others even cooler obv) by using aosp-based roms like no working TV-Out, no multiwindow, no one-hand mode, etc.
So I was wondering if I could get the same experience / features as with one of the "all in one roms" (I'm using rootbox 4.2 atm which has like 100s of customization options) with a stock samsung rom by tweaking things with xposed modules?
Here are a few points that interest me especially:
How about performance hits with heavy xposed customization vs "built-in" customizations of aosp based roms?
How good are the UI customizations like setting color and transparency of status bar and icons etc?
How about Halo / Apps in Floating windows? (yea there is the module, but how good or bad is it compared to "real" halo? or does it work just like it?)
Is there a module to use CM themes? (or is there some other easy way nowadays to "copy" a cm theme to the system framework? I have BlackedOut theme with everything black n white including certain apps, and would really hate to miss out on that)
---
Well it mainly boils down to: How well do the xposed modules implement all those tweaks that the custom roms offer out of the box? And how does performance compare?
I did so much tweaking to my system, and I flashed soooo often already lol, so I'd rather hear some opinions before changing everything again. =)
I'm sure I'm not the first one asking himself this question...?

No youre not
Well, i can tell you this, i also have a N7000 and have already flashed: SweetRom, VengeanceNote, Stunner2 (great!!) and paranoid3....
The problem is i really like the stock features...but hate the "greenish" colour and the damn statusbar......so... i did two things...
1- Installed the AMAZING aroma themes collection by kmokhtar79 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2480358&highlight=aroma)
2- Installed xposed framework and started twiking little things...like disabling clear defaults dialog ...or the battery low alert, the increasing ringtone, the storage warning....and the samsung keyboard delay...
So far...its awesome...and because it work on the things that "are already there" instead of bringing NEW stuff....well there should be no battery drain whatsoever...
Or at least in the case of THOSE modules.... thing my differ from module to module...but if i understood correctly...xposed framework works on what already IS in there...so...should be the same...
Anyway...with those 2 things my stock(-ish?) note is awesome.

[MODULE][MAGISK][MIUI10] MIUI 10 Sounds Changer[V1]

MIUI 10 Sounds ChangerAt the MIUI 10 launch event Xiaomi said that MIUI 10 is all about sounds. But after using MIUI 10 for some days I think that most of the UI sounds of MIUI 10 (charger connect/disconnect, lock/unlock, etc.) are unpleasant and they were way better in MIUI 9. I personally hate the delete sound from MIUI 10.
So I made this Magisk module that changes the unpleasant MIUI 10 UI sounds to the great MIUI 9 sounds systemlessly.
Changes Made :-
Lock/Unlock sound sounds are changed to MIUI 9 default.
Charger connect/disconnect sounds are different now, but they are from MIUI 10.
SMS delivered sound is shorter and more easy on the ear when you send one SMS after another.
Low battery sound is changed to a pleasant one.
Delete sound is changed to Windows 10's empty recycle bin sound.
Requirements:-
I have tested this module on Redmi Note 5 Pro Indian version Running MIUI 10 Global 8.6.14 Beta (8.1.0 Oreo), but it should work on other MIUI 10 ROM's too. You just need to flash this .zip via Magisk directly.
Future Updates:-
Interested persons can test this module and tell me if it works in their device/ROM or not.
I will update this module if I come across any more annoying sounds in MIUI 10.
Suggestions are appreciated for changing any UI sounds to anything else or if you don't like my choise of new sounds (everyone definitely has their own taste of sounds). Tell me which sound you hate or need me to change and I will try to change that and update the module if you guys want.
I will upload this module to Magisk Repo whenever I get time.
You can also change the sounds yourself by unpacking the module.zip file using any app like WinRAR/WinZip and changing the existing audio file for specific sounds from the directory system/media/audio/ui/ to what you desire. You can even change the sounds which I haven't changed by placing the audio file you want to change in the system/media/audio/ui/ directory.
You just need to remember that the new audio file's name should be same as the one you want to replace from that directory.
The audio files should only be in .ogg format.
You have to repack the files as they are after replacing/adding files without any compression and flash it from magisk.
Hit the thanks button if you appreciate my work.
rock solid on my mi 6x with miui 10 :-bd
in case, you (or anybody else) would like the "muted delete" version;
I've attached mine (actually I just replaced the "Delete.ogg" file)
oh, if you find my mod version is disturbing your thread...
just let me know, I'll remove my modded version
