Hey guys, today I installed a new game and started it and came to the screen where you download game files and got "No Wi-Fi Connection"
Then I pressed the home button but my phone froze so after waiting some minutes I took out the battery and booted it.
Since then its in the Airplane Mode and nothing will turn it off..
I wiped dalvik, data, even flashed a new ROM but NOTHING.
Then I took the SIM from a different phone and the airplane mode was turned off and everything worked.
So what you guys think the problem is ?
I mean a game cant mess up my SIM Card right ?
It's possible that the game messed up a setting on the phone that lead to a SIM card defect.
Tried the SIM card in another phone?
a) If it's working, try reinserting into your phone and booting again. Sometimes it's just the swapping fixing your SIM again (registering to a new phone with the carrier)
b) If it's not working, I'd exchange the SIM.
a2) In case a) didn't fix it: factory reset, battery pull for 30mins, in case those two fail as well --> b).
Nothing worked :/
I guess I got to change it
So out of nowhere today, i awaken my phone and I see an error "SIM card removed, reboot phone" I reboot the phone and now I have no signal and a SIM card symbol in the notification bar. I didnt remove the SIM so I dont know what happened or how to fix it. Anyone know how to fix this?
EDIT*** Nevermind. I removed the sim, then put it back and that solved the problem. Probably should have tried that before posting lol
happened to me a week ago. I was puzzled. I removed the sim and battery at the same time like 10 times. So I flashed back to stock and took it in. The guy plugs the phone in (probably checking for root) and then unplugs pulls the sim and battery and turns it back on. All working like nothing happened.
I've got some very strange issues happening since the latest T-Mobile update to baseband G930TUVU2APC8.
The phone is a T-Mobile Galaxy S7 with a Sandisk 200GB micro SD card installed
Whenever I'm on a phone call through a my Jawbone Era (and charging; I haven't tried it unplugged) the phone will behave as if it did a reboot, without actually rebooting, every few minutes. The phone will stop responding for about 20 seconds, then show just the wallpaper for about 5 seconds, then go back to the lock screen. At this lock screen it requires me to enter my password instead of using fingerprint as if it had just powered up. The phone call does not drop through all of this.
The next issue is that some pictures taken from the quick launch are sometimes not saved. I'm not 100% sure that this only happens after the reboot issue above, but I think it does. I have secure startup disabled .
I tried a factory reset which did not fix the issue, contacted t-mobile and was sent a replacement device that still has the problem. None of this was happening prior to the latest update.
Has anyone else experienced these issues? Also, is it possible to downgrade the firmware version?
Thank you,
Matthew

The problem started in PB8 firmware, PC8 firmware has constant wifi dropout issues, you might find even that at 3G connection performing better than fiber optic wifi internet.
Easiest is to update facebook to latest version and see how many "can not connect right now" errors.
Random reboots is normal never mind how many times your factory reset or do a full firmware PB8 flash.
T Mo is not the brightest tools in the shed, it takes 5 visits to their T Mo offices to get the accounts and products purchased + refunds for items payed in cash or freebies refunded etc etc etc.....
Heres whats going on
I have reset the N5, and flashed the July MM image. Everything flashed fine.
I insert SIM before booting, Android doesnt see SIM... so i pulled out the SIM and reinsert while on, and it sees it.
The Signal goes into an empty triangle... It says you have voicemail. And nothing else happens.
No data, no service. *#*#4636#*#* shows the right selection, it gives me the option to turn on the radio, but if i click it, nothing ever happens.
Under phone info, it sees my phone number, the IMEI is fine, and its not blacklisted when i check multiple carrier's websites.
I just cant seem to figure out why it wont just acquire service signal even when APN settings are right.
Anyone got any tips, tricks or solutions to this?
Possibly damaged sim card or sim card reader?

dont think so, i think its software maybe.... When i do *#*#4636#*#* it will show my phone number on the top... if i remove SIM, the number becomes "unknown"... so i dunno
If it happens with all SIM cards, it could be a damaged sim reader as different areas of the SIM card contains different information? Not sure.
I have similar problem with MOB30P on T-Mobile network. The 4G LTE would work just fine (I can browse web etc), but the voice is where it is failing hard. I would have dropped calls along with calls not coming through (both calling out and receiving calls).
I downgraded to MOB30M and everything appears to working fine now. I have not opened any bug against Android yet, because I am not sure if I am the only one experiencing this problem.
Hi, I was googling for a problem like your one. My N5 does not recognise the sim at boot, but only if it is "hot". If I put it in the fridge for ten minutes and then reboot, all works fine until the next shutdown. I'm sure it's an hardware problem (already tried different sim) so I disassembled all the phone, and it looks perfect. With some cleaner for electrical contacts it can survive for some days, and then starts again. So sad, I don't want to change phone just for this stupid problem XD
I'm getting exact same issue with my Nexus 5 since CM13 0803 update, which brings MOB30Y to my phone I believe.
At first my phone could still recognize my carrier (China Unicom), but there is no signal.
Then I flash radio image from MOB30Y and the phone now cannot find SIM card completely.
Even reflashing factory image doesn't help.
I'm now trying to reflashing MOB30P to see if it helps.
Update to latest August security update radio and bootloader
Hello guys,
Since last update I have some weird issues with my phone.
The issue:
Randomly the phone will go into "no sim inserted" mode.
Within seconds the sim will "reconnect" and get network again.
One the issue happens, it does it non stop ever few minutes, also draining the battery in the process
This happens exactly since I updated to 10.3.0.
What I have tried:
- Rebooting the phone - No improvement.
- Removing the sim and putting it back in - fixes the issue for a couple of days
- Changing sim tray - Same as above
Carrier: SFR-RED (France).
Phone is unlocked and rooted with latest magisk.
Any of you have a clue what this can be?
Thanks
