Nokia 6 Android 7.1.1 China verision Can?

Thanks man, it worked like a charm! I own the Nokia 6 Arte Black Edition (special edition on release) and it worked great without issues. It also fixed my problem with radio band inside this code settings: #*#*4636*#*#
A bit of advice: Guys, don't change the radio band because it will mess with the signal. For my case, I could use the 4G internet but couldn't make or receive calls/SMS , in other cases you can't have signal at all.

I don't know if I have understood it well. Are you saying that you can flash a TA-1003 firmware on a TA-1000 phone? That is my dream since I have the Nokia 6. I have a TA-1000 flashed with MENA firmware, actually in Nougat and I want flash it with TA-1003 firmware because MENA firmware have very bad sound in phone calls in this model.

Of course, i think TA-1003 sounds better than TA-1000 (TA-1003 supports more bands), TA-1003 is global version (has all the languages and google services).

OK understood. Thank you so much again.
Do not forget Oreo recovery can't flash OTA firmware, you need to flash update.zip first (1 january security patch, android 7.1.1).
as far as I understand, there must be two methods of flashing.
first OTA 1 January 2018 security patch for TA-1000 / TA-1003, android 7.1.1.
other OTA TA-1003 Oreo update.
and that on the sd card is mandatory

This is the solution I needed, but now I have OTA Oreo installed on my ta-1000, do you think it's possible to flash back the ta-1000 firmware to nougat and then apply your method?

Yes, Oreo recovery can't flash OTA firmware, you need to flash (Apply from SD card) update.zip first (1 january security patch, android 7.1.1), will be error, after phone off and again go to new recovery (with letter H)- Apply from SD card - firmware.zip (00WW_5_210.zip).
Ok thank you I'll try this ASAP. And let you know.

Nokia 6 Homebrew "Stock" Android O Firmware

Hi all,
Based on the recent Android O OTA Package, I made the Nokia 6 TA-1000 firmware that can be flashed with OST LA 6.0.4.
UPDATE: I'm testing the homebrew "Stock" firmware for Nokia 6 TA-1021(Codename PLE).
YOU MUST USE OST LA 6.0.4 IN ORDER TO FLASH THIS FIRMWARE TO YOUR NOKIA 6 TA-1000
OST LA 6.1.2 REQUIRES EXTRA AUTHENTICATION
However, this firmware preserves the old service bootloader from Nougat which made recovery porting and downgrading possible.
I strongly recommend everyone who still want to root your Nokia 6 on Android O to flash this firmware first.
However you needn't to flash this firmware if you've unlocked the bootloader.
If you've already updated to Oreo, here's the bootloader downgrading procedure: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-5/how-to/guide-how-to-downgrade-official-oreo-to-t3746007
December 2017 OTA DL: https://ota-filesite.c2dms.com/SWUpdate/500000748
After get stucked in recovery, just flash the firmware I provided.
You can receive further update from this firmware, but the bootloader will always get patched. You know, DON'T INSTALL ANY FURTHER OTA UPDATE.
https://mega.nz/#F!K1k0gC5C!xpw3-AQvSQJ5p6VWX19gpA
If you can't see any file, that probably means I'm still uploading.
The homebrew "Stock" FW is not a nb0 file. You can just load the mlf file with OST LA and do the same procedure.
DO BACKUP BEFORE UPGRADING OR DOWNGRADING, BECAUSE THE ENCRYPTION ALGORITHM IS DIFFERENT BETWEEN NOUGAT AND OREO
If you get stucked on logo, you can flash TWRP recovery and format data partition on recovery.
Special thanks:
@blackpanther0582 for tools
@Quixote78 for OST LA and patch
@xpirt for his sdat2img script
@heineken78 for idea

Thanks for your work, but i have some issues when i flash you firmware.
Since the firmware is not stock nb0 file, i download it shows a 7z file and extacted to a bunch of other files, so i cannot load as mlf file as you decribed.
Is there any process i did wrong?
BTW, "TA1021_PLE-522A-0-00WW-B01_Exploit.7z" this file i download.

Since I don't have a TA1021 to test, can you provide the logs in C:\LogData folder? You can compress it into an archive.

me too, on ta-1021. I will now try flashing the IMG files instead
Flashing with IMG / IMG.ext4 files worked. @hikari_calyx your mod works great on my TA-1021 with only one problem: the SIM card does not get recognized until I reboot to the recovery, wipe dalvik and choose reboot to system. That happens every time after the device gets shut down. So maybe something is wrong with the hardware init?
EDIT: you don't need to clear dalvik or cache, rebooting to recovery and from there rebooting to system again fixes the SIM issue
To fix the File not found issue, rename the following filenames:
D1C-0-522A-00WW-boot.img to PLE-0-522A-00WW-boot.img
D1C-0-522A-00WW-recovery.img to PLE-0-522A-00WW-recovery.img

Prerequisites:
- OST LA 6.0.4
- December 2017 Patch applied, as @hikari_calyx wrote
- the recovery provided by hikari_calyx in his MEGA Link
- the TA-1021 Firmware provided by hikari_calyx (I used B01, there could be more in the future)
0. check for December patch applied (if you are on another build than Dec your phone will not boot after this), unzip the 7-zip archive. Rename the following files:
D1C-0-522A-00WW-boot.img to PLE-0-522A-00WW-boot.img
D1C-0-522A-00WW-recovery.img to PLE-0-522A-00WW-recovery.img
D1C-0-522A-00WW-system.img to PLE-0-522A-00WW-system.img (thanks to @nicholasng99)
and turn off you phone
start OST from the installation path (patch it first if needed) and click on, load the mlf file from the 7zip archive
click on "Edit phone information" and wait for the error message and click next.
After this, your phone has the Oreo image installed - now to rooting:
if you have unlocked your Bootloader: reboot to bootloader(for example: adb reboot bootloader)
if you have no unlocked Bootloader: fire up OST again and load a firmware file (nb0 or mlf) and click on "Edit phone information" after you turned off your phone
go to the OST installation path, hold shift and right-click into Explorer, now choose to open cmd / Powershell there.
execute fastboot-android flash recovery C:\path\to\recovery\by\7to\that\you \downloaded\filename.img
type fastboot reboot BUT DO NOT EXECUTE IT YET, hold down power and vol+, press Enter now
you should see a rabbit head, Chinese text and TWRP now
Optional: click on the cogwheel to open the settings and choose English as language if your Chinese is as good as mine (Spoiler: i don't speak Chinese)
Press on Advanced (three dots) and choose Rooting with Magisk
now you only have to reboot to system and it should work!
I hope I could help

[Solved] Nokia 8 bricked "downgraded"

Hello everyone
i accidentally bricked my Ta-1004 after unlocking my bootloader on July's update 00WW_4_88E

i tried to sideload almost every OTA ,Firmware update

So, it is work for u...?? mine also Nokia 8 TA-1004DS...
Hi,
Since I don't receive any OTA with V4.88B
I'll try to downgrade my TA-1012 with NB1-4390-0-00WW-B01.nb0 to switch in Nougat and go back to OREO via OTA but I have error messages with OST LA 6.04
Program just begin to flash 2 partitions but not system and don't wipe my data.
Phone reboot normally and go back to OREO v4.88B.
hi...
all those of the firmware didn't work to my phone... maybe the firmware are not same...
I think OST LA ils not as good as Xiaomi Flash Program or Samsung ODIN program
Din not work on my TA-1004 got error oxc6da
I apply same procedures but got error in ost after flashing two partitions
Error code oxc6da
Can this be done but without erasing the User Data and on Hard Bricked phones??

[GUIDE] How to install early Android Pie build on Nokia 6

In theory, this guide will work on every variant of Nokia 6, but you can only use CN Variant ROM.
Update: Until Jan 25th 2019, D1C-612H-0-00CN-B03 (Feb 2019 Update) was the latest release of Nokia 6 2017.
I strongly recommend you to unlock the bootloader before proceed - I won't tell how to unlock the bootloader in this guide.
Take a look to this video first if you want to know the experience of Android Pie: https://youtu.be/izt650UNB5Y

In this guide, I'll provide two different methods to get Android Pie on your Nokia 6.
Both methods will erase your userdata.
Here's an important hint: Nokia 5 (ND1) and Nokia 6 (D1C or PLE) can flash each other's stock firmware, including TA-1000 Chinese firmware.
If you're eager to experience Global Android Pie on your Nokia 6, you can read this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-5/how-to/guide-how-to-install-android-pie-build-t3883901
Method 1: Use OST LA to flash my homebrew firmware
You should be familiar with this method.
1. Download "D1C-612H-0-00CN-B03_Homebrew.7z" from following site:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=288043
https://tpedutw-my.sharepoint.com/:...pv2wmqCvD1EqhzLLjvjkQYBULIyM5Yu1SIKp-b-sEdzKQ
Note: If you can't extract it correctly, please use 7-Zip ZStandard (not Original 7-Zip) to extract.
Chinese users can download it from Baidu Netdisk instead
中国用户可以从百度网盘下载
https://pan.baidu.com/s/1lZB4_qa_Z-WJ5sA88aFcMA
Click to collapse
2. If you have Android 8.x running with LOCKED bootloader, please downgrade bootloader back before processing. If you have unlocked bootloader, you needn't to downgrade the bootloader.
If you're not using TA-1000, you need to change SKUID to 600CN by following this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-7-plus/how-to/guide-how-to-change-skuid-to-worldwide-t3808520
3. Open OST LA or NOST and load the mlf file, in download options, only choose "Normal Download" and "Erase userdata".
If your phone boots suddenly when flashing splash, close OST LA and force power off your phone then flash again.
You can download NOST from https://github.com/StollD/NOST
4. All done, enjoy Android Pie.
Method 2: Force OTA Update
1. Download the package "D1C-612H-0-00CN-B03-update.zip" from here:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=288069
Or this for Global Android Pie, rename it to "D1C-612H-0-00WW-B03-update.zip":
https://android.googleapis.com/pack.../97a575ee1c9f1500856dcd94e1b6292998aa78c9.zip
2. If you're not using TA-1000 or 1003, rename the package to PLE-612H-0-00WW-B03-update.zip
3. Skip this step if you're using TA-1000.
Non TA-1000 users need to change SKUID to 600CN by following this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-7-plus/how-to/guide-how-to-change-skuid-to-worldwide-t3808520
4. Place the package to root directory of internal storage.
5. Dial *#*#874#*#* to update.
6. After update installed, it will may tell you "Encryption failed", click "Factory Reset".
7. Enjoy Android Pie.
FAQ:
Q1: Can I root it?
A1: Yes, but you must have unlocked bootloader, and TWRP is unusable. Also, Magisk 18 is unusable.
Q2: How to downgrade bootloader in case I want to roll back without unlocked bootloader?
A2: Rename existing Android 8.0 OTA package for your model to D1C-9999-0-00CN-B09-update.zip. Then you should know what to do next.
Android 8.0 for TA-1000 DL: https://ota-filesite.c2dms.com/SWImage/500000772 (DO NOT USE IT ON NON TA-1000! )
Q3: My language is unavailable!
A3: Please follow this guide: https://hikaricalyx.com/2018/09/21/how-to-change-your-nokia-phone-language-to-japanese-or-korean/
Q4: Where is Google Play Store?
A4: You need to download Play Store APK manually from websites like Apkpure and install it manually.
Q5: I heard both TA-1000 and TA-1003 doesn't have NFC feature. Will I lose NFC if I installed this build?
A5: Nope, you can still use NFC.
Q6: When will you unlock Nokia X7 / Nokia 8.1?
A6: I don't know!
Q7: When will you get Nokia 9 Penta Camera Phone?
A7: I don't know, don't ask.

It is not necessary to unlock the bootloader and the room still works normally, but you have to unlock to edit your global variant into Chinese variant, and also unnecessary, and you can bypass it and force it to update. via OTA but you have to rename the update package as instructed.

Same for me. Script may not apply to PIE installation or for all G6 variant
Flashed firmware from link in post #2 using RSD lite no problems . Variant xt1925-6 bootloader is locked due phone is only 2 weeks old and Im not ready to void my warranty.
I did manual (fastboot method) update after picked up full ROM from post #2
Don't worry flashing BTFM, and use "adspso.bin" to flash dsp
Everything works as it was and I regained root.

I tested it. This firmware package is just the Brazilian version renamed because their MD5 and SHA1 data are exactly the same. Do not trust it and I don't know who uploaded it. And after you flashing it your phone will remind you that the firmware is invalid and you cannot get access to the OTA delivery. My device is XT1925-6, the retus version.
