spare Samsung Nexus 5 phone to use as a Wifi bridge/repeater 2.4ghz and 5ghz with nat - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

I have a spare LG Nexus 5 / or Samsung Galaxy S4 rooted and fully available and on happily ready for my next vacation in a resort in Mexico. I will bring it with my 12000 rechargeable battery.
As I can only have 1 wifi connection, I would like to use this phone as a bridge (with natting) to my 4 devices (ipad, my wife's phone and mine...) when I will be at the swiming pool of the resort.
In my room, I already have a Linksys E2500 that can do that job bridging the uplink at 5ghz and serving the 2.4ghz to my 4 devices.
What would you recommand ? is there an already project ?
Thanks

NO, you don't.
LG made the 2013 gen5 Nexus 5 (and 2012 gen4 Nexus 4).
Samsung made the gen3 2011 Galaxy Nexus.
So, what do you REALLY have?
Sent via open market LG US998 V30/V30+

Mistake on models

When will 1 device be enough

Hi
Just recently I found out the hard way that using a phone sim in a tablet is restricted. I sold my Note 2 and bought a Note 10.1, nice upgrade huh! Well no not really, as my One Plan with 3 Mobile does not allow me to use the tablet
So instead I have to buy a semi-good-okish phone maybe SG S2 and tether to the Note 10.1
Has anyone had this experience with there phone provider?
Is it 3 Mobile the only ones doing this?
Wouldn't mind but I have 2 monthly contracts with 3, and when I get my SG S2 I will probably be using more data having 2 devices connected as oppose to 1
What is your opinion on this
Cheers

What - no phone model!?

Is it true that there isnt a phone model of Notepro 12.2 - only wifi-only and 4G/lte but no a model that is capable to GSM calls too?
Sent from my Galaxy Note 10.1 (N8000).
There is a phone call feature in both 3g SM-901 and in the 4G LTE SM-905 and simply if you wouldn't be able to make GSM calls then why would they include phone dialer

That is good news! I asked about this from a retailer and they said that 4G is only a tablet. Im considering to upgrade my N8000 and the GSM phone calls is a must have feature.
Sent from my Galaxy Note 10.1 (N8000).
I wish I waited for a LTE Model but I do like my Wifi Note

It was a main reason for me to buy N8000 at the first place (tablet, phone, pen). I didnt like the idea carrying a tablet and the phone with me, so N8000 was the answer. And now when I have also Sony Smartwatch 2, I live in a heaven =) I cant go back in time and have a phone and a separate tablet. No way! So I was abit disappointed when I didnt see specs about GSM network and the retailer said that NotePro (both wifi and 4G) is only a tablet, not a phone like my N8000. So probably they dont know real specs or they just have two models without a GSM networking ability.
Those models are:
Wifi+4G: SM-P9050ZWANEE
Wifi only: SM-P9000ZWANEE

I definitely know what you mean and I also think the same as I want my tablet to include a dialer etc . you even could notice the dialer on the tablet package itself on both 3G and 4G LTE models. I will try to give you a link to YouTube video while the guy tried the dialer on the 3G model .

I spent most of last year using an imported Galaxy tab 7.7 with 3G and could make calls that thing was great. I am sorry I sold it.

Congratulations mate how much you paid for it and what about call quality ?

Cost 780$ us
From my friend
Comes with nothing
gust charger and white box
Quite cheap. Wifi only costs 950 euros here (1300 us dollars), 4G is more. I havent found (yet) 3G model here... I wonder why those are always so expensive here and usually are also with lowest memory available. Like my N8000, it was sold only as a 16gb mem.

[Q] Best New Phone for Root + Wifi Tether

I have a LG G2 currently, and an unlimited plan. I will be able to get a new phone- and keep the unlimited data- but I need to have the ability to root the phone so I can enable free wifi tethering. I live in the country and its the only internet I can get- with a Wilson Electronics signal booster, I get 4 bars of 4G, so I can browse the internet or get on netflix etc. I already pay Verizon for their home 4g modem, but we are paying over $280 a month and get 20GB data in all, which doesn't nearly cover the usage at our house.
It wasn't TOO bad to figure out on the G2- but I am looking at the phones available (I'm on verizon btw) and I need to pick one based on if it can be rooted easily and wifi tether. I wonder if you want to give me advice?
Droid Turbo-
Moto X (2nd gen)
LG G3
Note 4
Galaxy S5?
+ any phone you might suggest
I left The Nexus 6 off, because I don't want to spend $600 on the phone, I get the upgrade, might as well get the phone for $200

I would suggest the 4G LTE version of Galaxy S5 which is powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm as it is many efficient features from the non-4G version.
This was a 2014 post/thread!
And hasn't even logged on in 2 years.

AppLink on Ford Sync with Nexus 5

I have a 2014 Ford Focus with Sync with MyFord (not MyFord Touch). It support Applink that lets you connect phone applications to the car AV system. Unfortunately when I try to use applink on the car with my phone it says the phone isn't compatible. If you go to Ford's compatibility site here. It lists the LG Nexus 5 (D820) as "This device many not be compatible with SYNC AppLink". Now the weird thing is which phones are and aren't listed as compatible with AppLink:
Nexus 4: No
Nexus 5x: Yes (but no bluetooth audio)
Nexus 6: Yes
Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-I337): No
Samsung Galaxy S4 (SCH-I545): YES
Samsung Galaxy S4 (SCH-L720 with firmware L720VPUAMDL): No
Samsung Galaxy S4 (SCH-L720 with firmware L720VPUGOD2): Yes
Samsung Galaxy S5: No
Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport: Yes
Does anyone know what separates the phones than do and don't support Applink? Any ideas if there is a hack to get AppLink working on the Nexus 5?
Thanks
