Rare firmware: SM-G920TZKAX - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I have scoured the net looking for the firmware for the unlocked version of the phone. Is anyone willing to upload theirs. If not, can I use T-mobile version firmware as a substitute?
Woops, please move this to questions.

Hi balmyplank I don't know if youre still monitoring this thread but I posted something a couple days go but still no luck. Hopefully it will show up someday on the net.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S Upgrade

Hello all, I have a Galaxy S that is unlocked, i have been trying to install Android 2.2 using the latest Kies software, but all i keep getting is the following.
Current Ver: 2.1 - Update, PDA:JF3 / Phone:JF3 / CSC:JE5 This version of the device cannot be updated.
My wife has the same phone on the Orange Network, this updated straight away with no problems, and works just fine.
I was wondering if it is the fact that if the phone is unlocked, and the update is not possible. We live in the UK. Any help would be greatfully received.
Thank You
I was hoping that this would be the Forum that would have least given a reply to my thread, but it seems not so. I notice that over 200 hundred people have looked at the question.
I live in hope than an answer will be forthcoming, even if somebody tells me to go away.
What kind of Galaxy S do you have?
You can do the registry hack for kies to change your product code and update to the generic rom, however I believe this hack has been patched for the most recent version of kies. I'll see if I can find a link to the hacking guide for you.

What happened when you tried to update via the LG tool or KDZ tool? I am assuming you tried following the directions in this thread.

yes i did everything step by step on that thread but my baseband is still corrupted
You probably know this already, but older sim cards have also been known to cause issues.

[Q] samsung focus/rogers rom

Need help / advice in how to flash phone

Hi,
I apologize if this is the wrong forum, but I will start here and see where it leads me. Not sure what type of processor the USA phones have.
I am currently using an SM-G930V Galaxy S7 phone originally bought from Verizon, but now used on MetroPCS. (USA)
Since MetroPCS uses T-Mobiles network, I wanted to flash my phone over to t-mobile, so I can get band 12, etc. and get better utilization / reception from the phone.
My concern is that I have never done this process before, and do not want to brick my phone.
I do have my current configuration backed up, using smart switch on my laptop.
Has anybody developed a guide, or instructions?
How difficult, or simply is the process?
How safe / risky is doing it?
Can I actually ruin my phone trying to do this?
Which software version do I use? the U version, or the T version?
Thanks in advance for any help / suggestions you may have to offer

Yes a lot of people have made multiple tutorials for this, and they are all over this forum if you read some threads
If you don't like that answer, imagine how annoying it is for long term members here to have to keep typing out the exact same instructions every day to new members who don't read anything
heres a link for the U firmware QD2 update just download that and odin and use odin to update your phone. Its perfectly safe to use the U firmware on all US variants. Any questions don`t be scared to ask.

Asking questions is fine if they are questions that are not easy to know / find the answers to, or you're having a problem
It's a joke when you come to XDA and make a new thread asking how to flash your phone, that info is literally all over this forum, it just shows laziness

Did have you try this?:

Thanks for the response. Yes, I did check the link you posted but had no luck.
Dumb question, if the phone was an AT&T phone and runs on their service currently, do I really need the version for the G920A or could I use from a G920F.
Thanks again for any help, struggling finding it.
I should have added in the original post that 6.0 would be ok as well
