Hi,
After a few hours of tries.. I decided to ask for help..
I have this Huawei Mate 9 MHA-L29C636B172 that I want to upgrade to OREO.
I tried couple versions via manual OTA and each time the update fails at 5% of the installation.
(I used this guide)
I would appreciate for some help in the matter.
First, is it possible to OTA upgrade manually without unlock the bootloader?
Second, which version do I need to upgrade to ?
Thank u,
Problem Solved!

I had to unlock Phone Bootloader via DC-Unlocker. (Paid 4EUR)
Then, I followed the instructions on this link:
The phone now runs the latest android and works flawlesly.
"I had to unlock Phone Bootloader via DC-Unlocker. (Paid 4EUR)"
I just downloaded DC-Unlocker for free but only shows an option to LOCK the Bootloader with no suggestion to pay for unlocking? What an I missing?

Hi all
I unlocked my bootloader the other day and proceeded to root my device and have a play around. But since then I ve wanted to return to stock firmware and perhaps relock my bootloader.
Could someone kindly list the steps need to revert back to how the phone arrived in the box?
Many thanks in advance
Someone may need to confirm but the easiest way to do that would be download the latest stock firm ware and use the flash-all script. Then re lock the bootloader.
Yah those are the steps. Google "pixel factory images" and follow all directions.
Sent from my sailfish using XDA Labs
Flash all script never seems to work, I always have to do it manually

Hello all.
I attempted to flash a ROM a while back and failed miserably. All I managed to do in the end was unlock the bootloader. I would like to change this, and set things back to they way they were; locked bootloader.
Is there anyway to achieve this? I would like to be able to use apps like Uber that won't work with an unlocked bootloader.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Hello I think this could help you
https://youtu.be/8OywEYZ2cbw
This is a video about how to rebrand your mate 9
Now it in the steps it says that after you use the options 2 to rebrand it relock your bootloader, I don't know what mate you have but since you probably installed a custom recovery it is why you can't relock with the command, so my suggestion is this download the WHOTA update and also install the the software finder via Google Play. With it look for your specific model and copy the links to download the files for your specific model in your PC, Also do a Backup of your Oeminfo via the TWRP since it will be the only file you won't find, probably (if it happens to be the MHA-L09 C605 send it to me I need it for my phone I made the mistake of not backing up my Oeminfo).
If you download the files and follow the instructions of the video you will be able to relock your bootloader. But watch it 3 times and also download all the files and make sure to back up everything in your PC if something goes wrong.

Thanks guys. I've found a fairly simple solution.
This is the solution that worked for me.
1. Type "fastboot oem relock (your phone's unlock code)" and select unlock or yes with volume buttons & power.
Hopefully this method will help others.
How we do now that there is no more huawei unlock website ? thank you

Hi folks
After I got the Pie update recently, battery life dropped. I want to downgrade to stock Oreo or a custom rom, but to do that I needed to unlock my bootloader from huawei's site.
And saw that Huawei has stopped its "unlocking bootloader" service. How can I proceed to install custom roms? Any way round that?
regards
Omer

You can't, unless you pay a service to unlock the bootloader for you

How to downgrade from HarmonyOs 2.0 to Android? Wishely 8 one. Is it even possible with locked bootloader?
Thankful in advance for answers.
It is possible
thakns to community for useless.
It's possible to downgrade via hisuite using "update" mode - it allows to downgrade on previous rom version. so, after 3 or 4 flashes I got 8th android 167 rom. what is impossible - flash another rom, just proposed by husiute only. also impossible to unlock the bootloader. sad
