China Version EAN vs International Version EAN - Vivo Nex Questions & Answers

Hello
I've read that the EAN code for the China version is '6935117811178', and that the EAN code for the international version is '6935117809403'.
I've ordered a Vivo Nex S on eBay calling itself this: "Vivo NEX S 8GB Ram 128GB Rom Dual Sim - Black (International Version)".
However, the listing shows an EAN code that I can't find listed anywhere else: '6935117808826'.
Does anyone know which version of the phone this EAN code represents?
Many thanks
Luke

If you're ordering it from Never-Msrp on eBay then it's the international model if they say so. That's where I got mine from. The model number should be 1805. I have no clue what an EAN number is.

I've ordered it from heybattery262
Would the model number be on the box when it arrives?

Yes it will. It's very unlikely it's the Chinese model since it's a Hong Kong seller. The EAN number (ESN?) might reflect whether it's a Hong Kong, Indian or Russian international version. But the model number is really the key.

[Q] 32gig SKU #

Can somebody provide me with the 32gig model SKU number.
Wirefly screwed me, they advertised a 32gig model and sent me a 16 model. They are saying they will upgrade me without added cost to the 32gig model. I just want to verify the sku before I open the new box.
16gig model: LGD82016WT
32gig model: ?
I'm assuming it's LGD82032WT, but I cannot find reference to this anywhere.
Thanks in advance.

If that's a geographic code, I think AHO is Netherlands? So maybe that SKU is Netherlands 32GB Red? I'm probably totally wrong though.

I see. Thanks. I thought this code carries information such as when it was manufactured and/or revision.
I think mine is from HK as it says "Certified for use in Hong Kong" on the sticker. It's weird that it's not AHK but AHO instead.

[Q] Is there any difference between the Chinese one of OPO and the international one?

I want to buy the OPO but my throwback is the country I live in, Bangladesh. As you know, 16 countries are officially available to the supply of OPO and Bangladesh is not listed on it. Surprisingly one of the dealers in Bangladesh is selling OPO at a rate of $488.75 (US Dollar) for the Chinese Version.
So my query is that is there any difference between the Chinese version and the international version or are they both identical. And why is the Chinese version so widely available where as the International version is as bad as extinct?
Anyone Help? Thanks in advance xD

Thanks. Could you tell me if I'm going to be able to use LTE and 3g in USA or in countries in Europe? I'm a student and I'm going to change countries for better education in a year. HK is only selling S6 SM-G9200 32GB(Dual sim) and S6 Edge 32/64GB SM-9250.
http://www.expansys.com.hk/samsung-galaxy-s6
Are you go to HK personally or say physically? If not, you can buy it off this site online and ship to your country. If you don't need dual sim, I will suggest you buy elsewhere because G9200/G9250 got very few custom roms.

Apparently, International Version of Mate 9 Available with 6/128 GB (MHA-L29)

After reading the below report from Gsmarena, I did a quick search on the internet and found an online store (to2c) in China selling international version with 6/128 with all four colors. It's been available for a few days now. I ordered the black version and it should arrive by the end of this week. Apparently, since it's not Chinese and the model is MHA-L29, it should have the original international ROM. I will update you when I receive it.

That's what I figured. I know it has 128GB but... Wish it was only $50 or max $100 more
Is it really?
At my info, it is possible to install mha-l29 rom onto Chinese models AL00, which are different colors and with extended combinations ram/rom.
Probably, this Chinese shop to2c do this trick. But it does not have model L29 with 6gb ram and 128gb rom. Need information from box.

At this link in 'Product Information' in 'Item Model Number' is MHA-AL00
So it can not be international model.
Additionally, sales are not in official Amazon-shop.

You are right. I just cancelled my order. They confirmed that the model number on the box is not MHA-L29, it is MHA-AL00 which is the Chinese version. They are installing the international ROMs on the Chinese versions and selling them as international variants.
That sucks. I will wait couple of more months and hopefully Huawei will decide to provide the International 6/128 variant.

Thanks, but I am looking for the regular Mate 9 international variant 6/128 and not the pro version.
I got my L29 from Wonda too (Excellent service from them )
It definately won't take an Ext SD card (I was mislead by the internet on this!), it just has 2 nano sim slots.
This phone however is fantastic - working on EE here in London.
Only problem I am having is some calls go straight to voicemail and don't ring the phone - it seems it might be numbers that are not in my contact list that are affected.
If anybody has this problem I would love to find the solution
I thought all the dual-sim models could take a microSD card. Is your sim tray different than the ones that can accept a microSD?

Hello, it's pretty simple in this case.
512 GB version is available internationally, is single-SIM, has fully working VoLTE and VoWi-Fi, has firmware named PCH and its global ROM is vastly superior to the Chinese one (less bloatware, very little restrictions about customization).
256 GB version is available only in China, is dual-SIM, has neither VoLTE nor VoWi-Fi, has firmware named PDEM and its Chinese ROM has some bloatware and more importantly unpleasant and incovenient restrictions for the user.
Hope that helps
More advanced answer:
Currently there's a battle on two fronts:
users try to flash the much more user-friendly Global ROM on the Chinese device but without success so far; it seems that an unlocked booloader might be required which is still a long way to go
users try to make the Global model work as dual-SIM as it actually physically has a double SIM-card tray so there is a tiny possibility that it's a very weird software limitation (breakable in the future) but I would't have high hopes
Thank you, I want / need dual sim, (work etc) so will probably have to give this a "miss" unless.......

No problem, glad I could.. "help".
No one has a clue why Oppo made this limitation, both phones (CPH and PDEM) are identical (hardware-wise), both have dual SIM-card tray but only the Chinese software is capable with working with two SIMs.
The phone is so great I might let go of dual-SIM requirement but I understand it's the decisive factor for many. Oppo has surely cut their profits by doing this and I've never seen anything like this before (phone hardware supporting it but an artificial software change blocking it).
I agree totally, it's ludicrous that this should be the case?
If only they gave users the choice? After all it's £1099 phone, it should be!?
Apparently Clove, (UK) has the dual sim version. Ceramic black only though, at the moment.

It's either a typo (misleading information), or they're offering the Chinese model with Chinese software and 256 GB storage (the latter option is very unlikely).
Remember, technically the phone is always dual-SIM. That might be the source of their information.

Ok, that sounds strange (or interesting, depending on the point of view). Currently, as the international CPH version of Find X2 Pro doesn't support dual-SIM, there are two possibilities:
- they're still sharing misleading information (deliberately or not) and the phone will be single-SIM
- the phone will come with a brand new version of Global ROM firmware which somehow enables dual-SIM (and which hasn't been released yet), which would give hope to other users of international CPH version.
Hardware-wise the version you're ordering is 99% the same as the ones already released in countries like Netherlands, Germany.

Yes this is very odd...not sure what game they are playing. Why would the UK get dual SIM, or some specific market. This is driving me nuts.

I might add, that until this question is clarified? I will not be ordering,
Single SIM?
Dual SIM??
it's just all over the place at the moment??
I thought i posted this here also :
Ok after some research, and reading another post in the forum, i can mostly confirm that there ARE 2025 GLOBAL models with dual sim around. Apparently the Clove is getting the dual sim.
Clove find x2 pro
and i confirm this is correct by going to the UK site of oppo...
Oppo official site
This means that's even crazier than i thought... some markets, even in the EU get the dual sim and others dont....
but just to make you laugh check this out :
Oppo says ALL their phone are dual SIM

I stand corrected!!! Oppo is really not clear on this.
As this is very WRONG
on the top of their site : it says "dual 5G" which can make one believe that it's dual SIM. But when you scroll down to "network" it clearly says "Single sim".
Uk Oppo site
So why do they mention dual 5G ?(maybe the two 5G (mmWave and the other one).
I sent an email to Oppo asking for some clarfication.
I checked all around the world which markets have dual sim (outside of China) and apparently none have it.
So i'm waiting on feedback from another member who has a 2025 but dual SIM... this is all very confusing.
just to add some more confusion (salt into wounds, so to speak) into this... Amazon UK also claims "dual-sim" in their pre-order for June 10th release. Also Orange version, 12GB 512GB.... sold and dispatched by Amazon... :crying: :fingers-crossed:
I loved this phone in PDEM version but the lockdown of the software made me switch to Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro (plus I can use custom roms). Dual SIM especially since this is band capable for TMobile and Verizon in the states. I love dual sim... if dual sim is confirmed, i'm switching back in a heartbeat... just given the facts though, I think it is sellers typo in their information. Oppo clear states on UK site, CPH2025 model, Single SIM.
---------- Post added at 10:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:18 PM ----------
I sent an email to Clove UK and Amazon to clarify their listings for these phones... I'll wait to see reply..
