Galaxy Nexus (ICS) boot animation?

Hello,
I am running the RCmix ICS ROM and would love to change the stupid Beats Audio boot animation to the one we have all seen on the Galaxy Nexus. I know very little about how to do this. Could someone post this if it exists and some tips to getting it working?

Replace "bootanimation.zip" in "/system/media" and "/data/local" with this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1296919
Hint: It's the Nexus Prime one.

Works! Is there supposed to be an animation when I turn off the phone? I replaced both those files in my data/local but booting down just shows a black screen and then its off. Booting up shows the nice effect.

Have you checked the permissions for new files?
(rw-,r--,r--)

do i need to be rooted in order to change the boot animation??
how can i install the ICS boot animation on my unrooted sensation??

If you don't have /data/local folder search in /system/customize/resources directory.

Unzip a boot animation and look through it. You could probably create your own. Your gif is a simple picture so I'm not sure what you'd want animated

My bad... I was whatching pokemon but that was long time ago and Dratini looked familiar,but I did not remeber exactly from whare :angel:

Google for programs that can separate gifs into individual images.

I have made this into a boot animation and I will start a thread so people can find the zip easier.

Can anyone help me change the image that diaplays before the boot animation? I still have my previous ROM's logo which is so anoying.. Please help?

aah.. thats the boot logo... look in the themes section... there is a tutorial how to change and the stock google one too..

just see the post... the one with the google one changes the anim. too... so backup the anim. flash the zip and then replace the anim.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Download the zip file
2. Rename it to bootanimation.zip

Created a flashable zip with matching bootscreen

Simply extracted the /system/media/bootanimation.zip from the newest OOS Open Beta.
This is NOT a flashable zip, place it in /system/media/ and chmod 644

It's not working for me either on custom ROMs. I don't know what the problem is yet, but it seems that OnePlus made some patch to allow this bootanimation to be viable on OxygenOS but the patch doesn't exist on Custom ROMs /AOSP/LineageOS so it doesn't work... I'll have a look.
