This is OPW28.1. The USB transfer doesn't work when screen lock is enabled.

I wonder if I flash 28.1 it will trigger 28.2. My A1 moto x4 is still chilling on 8.0 march

If it's not taking the OTA to 28.1, I doubt it will take 28.2.

Mine didn't take the 8.1 OTA but after manually flashing 8.1 it did update to OPW28.2 without a hitch.

Flashed it, but I'm stuck in an "erase" bootloop. Ugh. Fi A1.

How do I apply this to a new Android One X4? (payton XT1900-1 32GB p4)
"mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin" fails

Flashed successfully on A1 with unlocked bootloader and received 28.2 OTA while setting up the phone. Pretty much the same thing that happened when I flashed 8.0, received two OTA's after but update to 8.1 always failed. Stupid X4.

Did you do it in A1 or Stock?

Worked Perfect!!!Finally on 8.1!! I've been waiting so long for this on my Fi xt1900-1. After the flash I was prompted right away with 28.2 May 1st security Update.

Serves for the XT1900-2 (64/4)?

OTA has begun for retail, amazon prime and project fi variants of moto x4. so unlocked moto x4's (XT-1900-1) have started getting android 8.1.
since the retail x4 has started getting it so we can hope 8.1 to arrive on retail version of other countries too.

I have moto X4 xt1900-6 firmware opws, software channel retbr, after installing the stock I will continue to receive updates via OTA?

Yes and Yes, but you have to rebrand your phone to chinese or indian variant and upgrade to Oreo Emui before flash the RR version.

There are guides to rollback to N but the procedure has some risk. I'm on RR OREO and the system is very stable and the performances are really good.
About the RR pie rom, I don't know. Previously I tried the OmniROM Pie Alpha 5.2 (openkirin) without problems.
