First you are in the wrong Forum, as S3, has its own forum here and more members to assist you.
when using Odin,
From My Android Solutions ( link below)
[3] Problem:- Odin gets Stuck on <ID:0/008> Set PIT file. or <ID:0/003> SetupConnection.. or <ID:0/007> Removed!
Note:
When using Odin to Flash, Open task manager and close these : Kies.exe , KiesTrayAgent.exe, and KiesPDLR.exe
IF your downloaded File (.tar, .zip, .md5 .rar ) is corrupted, Odin could get stuck too, so download from another source, if it happens repeatedly

I had so many post ooen I didnt pay attention to it .I apologize. Ill go back to the right one.thanks for your insite but I have already removed kies..but I think I found the issue..I downloaded a newer odin. And its saying no pit partition..so im reading avout that as we speak.thanks
Hey Guys,
So I tried to root my phone with file CF-Root-SGS3-v6.3 and it failed. Not sure if it is because it is a 1747m but anyway I am totally annoyed now.
Then my phone says "Firmware uprgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again"
So Kies does not see the phone, which seems to be a common issue with this when trying to root. I did try downloading the Rogers firmware file
for 1747m but it comes it a zip form which ODIN won't accept. I can't find any other files since Hotfile.com was taken down.
I guess my problem is that I have zip files but only .rar files will work. Any ideas to help me out would be great since my phone is currently useless to me.
With that said, I still can access the download screen.
Thanks
Vince
About a month ago I tried rooting my galaxy player using odin and if failed and then just said A FIRMWARE UPGRADE ENCOUNTERED AN ISSUE. PLEASE SELECT RECOVERY MODE IN KIES AND TRY AGAIN. That was before i could even get to recovery or turn it on, I couldnt even get to downloading mode. After about a week I got it back to downloading mode by flashing a PIT file. I still cant turn it on because a message says LOGO.JPG DRAW FAILED message shows up. If you find any files that might work post them (try to use mediafire)
Thank you in advance!!
Goog morning ,
I 've tried today to install mobil odin on my S6 ,then i get a bootloop . Then I tried the stock ROM with Odin 3.10 to flash but remains always hang at Get PIT mapping. Odin was run in Administrator mode so I strongly suspect that something is wrong with my PIT because mobile Odin had made a query I had but unfortunately just confirmed that.
The emergency recovery via Smart Switch was without success.
For that reason, I am looking for a PIT file for the G920F 32GB. Did Although previous attempts by google 3 hours and grazed the usual sites but found nothing so far .
Would be great if someone could send me .
Thank you in advance .
Greetings
no one an idea ?
