I come here every once and a while to see what's new with my HTC Dream, but I always dread it because it's so cluttered with useless posts. There always seems to be 20+ pages of people asking whether this or that feature works in a particular ROM, or just saying they will install it, or "cool, thanks". Maybe there should be some more posting guidelines? For example,
* If you start a thread, please keep the OP updating with an FAQ as questions are asked. And let people know once you've updated the OP as well.
* If asking a question, make an effort to see if it's been asked already.
* Rate the thread 1 - 5 stars instead of either thanking or bashing the OP without providing any other real content.
* Get rid of post count display. I've seen this help on other forums.
* More moderators for each board, if needed.
Anyway, it's great so many people are into this and eager to post, but let's try make the information a little easier to access for everyone.

BUT I have another question...
Is there any experienced developer kind enough to edit a kernel for me? I have less than 0 experience with this.
things I would like changed or some kind of looked on, if it's the best we can get:
* battery (is it draining and how much?)
* OC.UV (I've read some how-to's, but the only part I understood was that if i did that and messed up my phone those guys wouldn't be responsible.
* Init.D (kitchen?)
* native root (kitchen?)
* maybe some tweaks I'm not aware of?
If anyone could help me I'd really appreciate it!!!

I know that this text warns every user who wants to use that, but I wonder who made that text and being used by many devs? And, isn't any guidelines for ROMs/Mods threads? Because some of it has similar text.

#1 this thread is in the OTHER DEVELOPMENT section, there is no development going on, only discussion.
#2 There is a proper way to report someone who you think is improperly using your work, or used work with no credit, etc, and blasting it in a development thread is NOT the proper way. The original author needs to REPORT the offending user and document their original work, dates, checks, sources, etc.

I am in contact with the developer that PERHAPS could be able to port a LOS16 (and PERHAPS /e/) for t230/235.

the smt230 has been stuck on kitkat for so long that it hurts. If anybody can even make a lollipop port I would be interested.

Right now t235/Y only. As far as I understand high risk it will stay this way since t230/231 have different SoCs...
