For some reason after 1AM my screen gets a reddish tint to it like it would if the blue light filter was on. I've tried everything from safe mode to factory resetting and also turning the blue light filter off and on. The color filter doesn't even help either. During the day it's fine.
Whoops, wrong thread

Help! I have a D800 and I woke up in the middle of the night to a blinding light coming from the phone's LED. It's fading to blue from green and then back and its not stopping. There was a amber alert which I've since deleted but the light is not stopping. I've turned off notifications for amber alerts and turned off the LED entirely but it's still not stopping. I have rebooted the phone 3 times. There are no notifications whatsoever now but regardless if the screen is off or not the light is constantly flashing. I called att and of course they have no clue.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Seems like the LED is bothering you. Could be some firmware app update ? Try powering it off ? Or let the battery completely drain and see if it fixes. Never came across anything like it so i am just giving you some things you could try.
One night when charging the watch, I noticed something weird: in active mode the blacks are really black (not lit up, turned off, like AMOLED should), however once Ambient mode took over, the blacks were all lit up - still black, but turned on (like a regular LCD would).
Same happening in watchmaker: I made a completely black watchface (without anything on it), and it is brighter in Ambient mode than in regular mode.
I guess, that affects battery life and screen life, so I would like to know, if anybody else noticed that (or maybe that is a bug in my watch) and if anybody knows how to fix this...
I noticed my AOD has a slight shade of magenta which is making it harder to see. Anyone else have this issue? Or is it just the norm? It's odd it'll show as plain white if I enable double tap to view but once I set it to always on it turns pinkish. Just the pixels that are on. (Not the background)
I've tried safe mood, fac reset, downgrading to 8.1 , going back to 9 , rooting , then clean flash 9 and it's still pink. It's a very odd behavior since it's only link only when I enable it via "always on" I'll notice it flashes pretty rapidly. I've tried to adb adn set custom brightness via that way all it does is fix the flicker but not the hue.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Last night, I was doing some reading on my phone, and I followed Google Play Books recommendation to turn on the blue light filter.
I finished reading, and immediately turned off my phone. This morning I turned the phone back and and saw the blue light filter still active, which I expected. I went into settings and turned it off.
In settings it says the blue light filter is off, however it definitely isn't. I tried turning it back on again and it applied another filter over the preexisting one. I tried restarting the phone but it's still the same.
I am running stock Android 8.0.0.
Any help is appreciated.
Solution: It was caused by Google Play Books night light setting. Apparently it effects your entire phone. Go into a book, and tap on formatting settings. Then click nightlight and turn it off.

The Display Automatic brightness Not Working Anymore !
the display brightness doesn't change automatically anymore what ever the light condition in the room was.
in a dark room or bright sun the brightness is the same and not changing.
I have wiped Cache Partition but also nothing happened.
any body have any solution or a fix other than hard reset ?
Recalibrate auto screen brightness since Android 9 update
Since Andriod 9, my HTC U11 auto screen brightness was not working properly. It kept resetting to an almost useless 9%. There is a recalibration solution posted for Samsung phones that also seems to have worked for my HTC U11. Good luck.
With auto brightness enabled, tape your Galaxy S8 and cover the two sensors that are to the left and to the right of the earpiece.
This will trick the device into thinking you’re in a pitch black room.
Next, switch off the auto brightness feature by bringing down the status bar and moving the brightness bar to the left. Make sure you’re still covering the sensors!
Next, quickly activate the auto brightness feature and then deactivate it again. Keep the sensors covered.
Next, take your Galaxy S8 to a bright lamp or light. Stop covering the light sensors.
Put the brightness on your device to the maximum setting, then switch the auto brightness feature back on.
Your Galaxy S8 will now have had it’s auto brightness sensors recalibrated so that they work more efficiently in dark light, bright light, and everything in between.
