I forgot all the process of upgrading to the latest Xperia firmware. I have downloaded the latest firmware but got no idea which flashing tool and how to use it to flash.

Try to download the original firmware for your phone using the Xperia Firmware Downloader:

Just select your phone model number and the brand, then click in the right side the firmware version.
Later use flashtools to pack the firmware:

And flash the new ftf file with flashtool too.
Sometimes the best way is to download the firmwares manually from the forum and flash it, because some brands don't give the latest firmware to our phones (like mine). With this way, you will have the latest firmware, rooted and with dual recovery just flashing the zip file, but first you have to prepare your phone:
Use this guide to flash the latest rootable firmware, root that firmware and install the recovery:

then go to development section and download the latest firmware for your phone. Download a preroorted with recovery version to allow the manually updates later:

Does anybody have a link to the stock 32.2.A.0.253 kernel, preferrably an img file? I flash the AndroPlus kernel, but would like to go back to the stock kernel and I failed to backup my original kernel. I'm using the UK customized firmware if that matters.
EDIT: I extracted the kernel from the original firmware, see the post below.

The problem is, that only downloads the latest version of the stock firmware for UK Customized (32.2.A.0.305). I need the stock 32.2.A.0.253 kernel.

I did see that there were other UK ROMs that had the .253 kernel but I was looking for the same kernel that was in the ROM I'm using (Customized UK). They're probably the same but I didn't want to take any chances.
Anyways, I was able to extract the kernel from the 32.2.A.0.253 Customized UK firmware using the guide found here. If anybody else is looking for it, I've made it available for download here.
Hello Everyone. I have a device that came with a Hong Kong FW. (F8332 1305-2218)
I'd like to have an MM FTF as a backup incase I want to downgrade in the future.
I know that flashing FTF files for other regions/countries is possible, so any MM FTF is okay but I would prefer having the FW with most features and least bloat-ware.
Is there any source other than xpericheck?
(PS. I haven't unlocked my device yet)

What do you mean by "create ftf (flashtool)" ? Can flashtool extract ftf from phone?

I also had downgrade for backup ta.img
You can take any rom android 6 and also your rom android 7
ex:
My xz a generic benelux (blx) android 7
I download central europe 1 android 6 find on the internet
I have flasher all the rom "total wipe" so my xz was under central europe 1
I made backup ta.img
I have the update to android 7
My xz was under android 7 central europe 1
I have flasher with flashtool all the rom android 7 generic blx except system.sim because failure (Flashtool not compatible android 7) and surprise my xz was in rom android 7 generic blx and I made to be certain with xperia companion restore system
My xz is a new update android 7 rom of origin benelux (blx)
And I have my ta.img file

i am on Xperia xz f8332 i tried to download latest firrmware with Xperifirm.
when my firmware downloaded via xperifirm , flashtool show me DECRYPTION ERROR
then i tried to create bundle then asked me add fsc.41 or not
1.my phone is unlocked and i lost my TA
2. i am on custom rom and custom kernels
should i add this fsc.41 to my ftf???

Flashing your phone using Flashtool will solve eveything.
Get the required ftf (download from the ftf post or create your own). Use the FSC when prompted.
This flashing here have nothing to do with TA.
Hello, i tried to create my own flashable ftf with Flashtool and Xperifirm today and failed 3 times in a row.
