Got this phone today, can't get it to boot into fastboot or recovery - volup+power, volup+home+power, volup+voldown+power nothing seems to work and the phone just boots normally.
Also can't find which android drivers to use, or a reliable source of the apk to flash it.
Any suggestions?
Can get into fastboot via the command line, I guess I had the right drivers already. But can't unlock the bootloader because the volume up to unlock doesn't work, it doesn't recognise the button press.
Kingoroot won't work, likely because the bootloader is locked but not certain on that.
Try it maby
Try to enable the hidden developer setting and enabling ome unlock And then flash a recovery or a rotting file via Odin 3 sorry for bad spelling im 12 + I think that will unlock the bootloader and you can try kingroot , kingoroot and super one click
I have the version with 6.0 firmware, which doesnt unlock bootloader since the vol up does nothing on fastboot. Any solutions were found? Gratitude

So I updated my FRD-L04 to the Nougat Beta, and while I was following the instructions and Flashesd the Update. For some reason I lost TWRP and cant boot into recovery, my bootloader is unlocked.....however in developer options OEM Unlock is grey out and i cant enable it.... So when ever i try to run a command through fastboot it says is not allow.... and when i try ti re-lock the bootloader i get FAILED (remote: root type is risk)... I try to roll back package from Huawei website but that also fails..... Now i dont know what to do.
I am in the same boat. Did the new beta via twrp. My usb debug was greyed out but i was able to to get it to turn on for short moments.
I have now lost twrp and now the phone wont even boot the the Android 7 beta os!
I have fastboot but when i try to fastboot flash system or cust they both fail. My bootloader is still unlocked tho.
edit: I downloaded the beta flashable zip and the update that is seperate. I took out the boot recovery cust and system from them and was able to flash them via fastboot. The phone now boots back to the android 7.0 beta. Phew!!!!!
Now to attempt downgrade to 6.0 adn get twrp back
You should look for a downgrade package
Since you have lost TWRP, I think you will have to reinstall it and root your device again.

Like I mention on my initial post I have already tried the downgrade package..but it does not work. I can't enable oem unlock since is grayed out ... my boot loader is unlock and I can't use the phone but NFC Bluetooth etc does not work.. I even tried to flash the downgrade package recovery and boot image through fast boot but it's not allow since I can't enable oem unlock...
I'll research a bit and see If I can find something

Did you ever enable developer options and allow USB debugging? If so, and you can connect to ADB on a PC, you can flash stock firmware back onto the phone.
or try this:
As I didn't have USB debugging enabled I couldn't connect to the phone via ADB, but if you put it into recovery mode you can use Fastboot. Hold down the power key to turn the device off and turn it on while holding down Vol Down to load up recovery mode.

However, with locked bootloader there is no room for error in flashing firmware via ADB or you will brick the phone. You have to flash the correct firmware exactly for your phone, with the same level of bootloader you already have or newer. You can't flash Mexico over Brazil or Lollipop over Marshmallow. Has to be exactly what was made for your phone, either what you already had or newer (if it exists).
What OS was installed before?
But WHY is there no ROM installed? What did you do?
The OS installed before was the most recent Stock MM Brazil, i installed the stock rom, it worked, then i wanted to go back to stock recovery, it it worked too, then i wanted to locked my bootloader, i locked, after that i couldn't enter recovery, neither boot to OS.

You wanted to re-lock your bootloader? Unlocked bootloader = God mode.
Did you ever have TWRP? You said you wanted to go back to "stock recovery" (not sure why, it's mostly useless compared to TWRP custom recovery.)
I'm not sure why re-locking the bootloader would wipe the OS...
But you can boot to the bootloader screen using the volume and power button and re-flash the stock firmware, using ADB. Here's the link to the newest Brazil Marshmallow for XT1225:
http://ftpeil.eil.com.br/vip/motoro...S24.107-70.2-7_cid12_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml/
This guy below got out of a jam because he had an unlocked bootloader, which is very forgiving. Locked bootloader is harder.

Yeah, i don't know what happened either, why the **** did my OS got Wiped?
Can i flash the stock rom with the bootloader locked via ADB? how?

You have to boot to the bootloader screen manually, using the volume + power button trick.
Once on the bootloader screen, when you plug you phone into a PC with ADB installed, it should recognize it.
Then, flash the full stock firmware, from the link above. It's Brazil Marshmallow firmware with December 2016 Security Update. I don't know of any newer right now. You have Brazil XT1225, so that Brazil firmware is compatible with your phone.
But with locked bootloader you have to flash exact same version or newer made for your phone, and you have to enter the commands correctly or you may brick your phone. (When I flashed from Puerto Rico Kitkat to India Lollipop, I messed up. But since my bootloader was unlocked, I just reflashed again, when I realized my mistake.)
If you are not sure of the steps, google Motorola firmware ADB. Here's a couple of excellent tutorials:
How to Manually Official Firmware on any Motorola Device
https://forum.xda-developers.com/dr...force-how-to-manually-flash-official-t3282077
I use this one above. IGNORE where it says you need an unlocked bootloader, because he's talking about cross-region flashing which you are NOT doing. You are flashing your own region firmware.
This one below is by rootjunky and he while he also discusses RSDLite, later in the article he says ADB/fastboot are best as RSDLite can stall.
Motorola Firmware Restore Plus Unbrick

If you get your phone running again, I suggest you unlock the bootloader. There are ways to hide an unlocked bootloader (like Magisk), if that's why you locked it back... But an unlocked bootloader + root makes it YOUR phone and much easier to recover from disasters.
Thanks a lot Chazz, it worked, thanks for the help, really appreciate it, thanks for all the useful tips too.
Hello, I have problem with my softbricked Nexus 5.
phone is full stock
bootloader is locked
USB debugging is not enabled
Android 6.0.1
all buttons are working
USB socket is fine
Factory reset from recovery mode is not working - still bootlooping
My purpose is to bring it to live, but I am stuck. Due to locked bootloader I have to use LG Flash Tool. Some time ago I used it with my other Nexus 5 and it was fine - worked excellent. Now I want to do it again with other phone but I am stuck on start: Can't enter download mode (volume up+usb cable). When I am trying to enter to download mode, charging battery icon appears and after few seconds my phone is being recognized as MTP USB device in device manager. I thought it is a problem with the phone, but tried with another working Nexus and there is no difference - it looks like problem with phone-pc connection to me. I tried few cables (original samsung and nokia) and two pc's - no difference. Tried all USB ports etc. Clean reinstall (with registry keys delete) doesn't help, updated version 4.2 neither. Do you have any ideas how to fix it?
Download mode? Never heard of that on the Nexus 5. There is a fastboot mode for flashing stock ROMs and to unlock the bootloader.
I recommend unlocking the bootloader and using NRT to flash a stock ROM.

I have NRT but problem is that to unlock bootloader I have to enable USB debugging - I can't do it with bootlooping phone.
Bootloader can be unlocked without enabling debugging as you are not running adb commands, you need to run fastboot commands.

Thanks! Can I do it with NRT also?
Easiest way to unlock the bootloader on a windows machine is to do this:
make sure that the necessary fast boot drivers are installed;
boot phone into fast boot mode by holding down volume up, volume down, and power;
connect the phone to the computer;
type "fastboot oem unlock" without the quotation marks and press enter key.
Unlocking will wipe the phone.
Once unlocked, you can flash a stock ROM using fastboot commands.

Ok I did it. Do I have to proceed "fastboot reboot" command? when I am doing it it reboots and still bootlooping. When I enter bootloader it is locked again
If the bootloader relocks itself when the phone is rebooted, the memory chip is damaged and will need a motherboard replacement.
Tablet stuck in boot loop. Can get into fastboot mode but bootloader is not unlocked. I have tested some fastboot commands and they do work, just none which are useful in fixing the issue. Does anyone know of a place to obtain a bootloader code or any feedback on how to fix this? I have firmware downloaded and have tried the volume-/+ and power and that does not work. Just goes back to the logo page. Assume the only fix currently is through the fastboot. One other thing to note when I boot into fastboot it says PHONE unlocked, FRP unlocked which I assume meant bootloader is unlocked but does not seem to be the case.
I've recently bricked my device trying to install LineageOS, long story short I had to use MSM Tool in order to flash a new, stock ROM. Since I did that I am unable to unlock the bootloader: everytime I do the phone bricks with this following Yellow message on the screen: "upgrade download failed please check your download flow is right". After that I have to use the MSM Tool again to unbrick the Yellow text.
Any ideata how I might unlock the bootloader? Aside from that, the phone works fine.
EDIT: I managed to fix this by OEM updating my device to Android 11 and *then* unlocking the bootloader. Another issue has arisen now, though: whenever I try to boot TWRP from fastboot, the phone reboots and gets stuck in the "Fastboot Mode" OnePlus logo screen. Would anyone know how to fix this, or maybe is there a way to root your phone without using a custom recovery?

Yes you can ,,install thru boot loader with ADB and fastboot CMD. First you need to extract the boot.img from your oos rom, patch it in magisk app, then put it in your adb folder and run the cmd " fastboot flash boot boot.img .
