I recently received a Samsung Galaxy S7 after my brother passed away and left it to me. The PIN is unknown, and Android Device Manager was not set up on the phone. I can only make the phone ring using the Manager, but nothing else. Is there any procedure that can unlock this phone and preserve the contents, since there may be photos and videos on there that I want to keep. There is no SD card. Thank you for any help, it would mean do much to my family.

Okay so I found this Samsung Galaxy S2x on the ground. However it had a pattern lock screen so there was no way I could have gone into the phone to get info on how to return the phone to the owner. They went and disabled their sim card, so now I am left with a perfectly good GS2! BUT it's locked. How do I bypass the lock on the phone? I have looked at several methods, however they include knowing the google account info which I obviously don't know... I thought about rooting the phone, but usb debugging is not on, so I can't put superuser on the phone's internal memory. Is this a problem? Otherwise, is there a way to factory reset the phone completely?
HELP! I would love to put this awesome phone to use!
Good day,
I'm in desperate need of help. My son was killed in hit and run a few weeks ago. He had a LG C800, also known as the T-Mobile USA MyTouch LG-C800. I'm trying to get access the phone but I can't get pass the locked screen to retrieve any data off the phone. The phone is damaged but it still works. (I'm able to put in numbers and etc) Is there a way by pass lock screen without whipping out the phone data. There is information on the SD card. But I'm look I would like to see who he was talking to at time of the death or ealier. There is a Google Account set up which I can access, but I don't see this option after trying to access the phone.
I have installed Screen Lock Bypass Pro (By THOMAS CANNON). This didnt work I'm not sure if its even installed (Play store claims it is)
Thanks for help in advance

Hello everyone
First of all, i'm dutch so excuse me for any spelling errors etc.
I have a friend who has just had a baby.
She made photos with het Galaxy S6..
But all of a sudden her phone won't recognize her fingers and doesn't unlock.
She also doesn't know her password anymore since she never had to use that again.
I know it is possible to recover the phone but then it will also remove all the photos.
I tried connecting the phone to the computer, it shows a folder named Galaxy S6 but I can't acces it (the phone says unlock phone to view content)
My Question is, does anybody have a workaround? She only wants the photo's once they are back she can reset the phone.
You would really help her out since the baby is born in the 23rd week of pregnancy

Are you rooted?
No it is all stock
I highly doubt you'll get an answer because you could have easily stolen/found a phone and now try to "break into" it.
I can help you via TeamViewer for get the all files on internal memory to PC. But, if you accept, you need to know your warranty will be void we get the files.
If you accept it, PM me.
Hello. My mother has recently found her old Samsung Galaxy S7 and doesn't remember the pin. She has some very important photos (Baby Pictures, ETC) on the phone and needs to get them somehow. She has never turned on any development options or USB Debugging. I don't really know what else to post here because this is my first post. I was told by a friend that this forum could help

The only way to unlock without wiping data is to use Android Device Manager but you have to know the Google account and password the phone was using.
You can use Google DM on a pc to do this. Your phone must be charged and turned on with an active SIM.
If this does not work, a Samsung repair centre can unlock the device if you have proof of purchase. There is no way to unlock AND save your data if both the methods are not available to you.
You can as a last resort reset the device to use again but all data will be lost.
Also things to check first.
1. Often pictures are stored on the SD card in the phone, remove the card put it into an sd adapter or another phone and see if the pictures are stored there in the DCIM folder
2. Pin numbers are often dates of birthdays or bank card pin numbers etc ask your mum if this is the case it might jog her memory.
Hi All,
Apologies for in advance for what may be a long post but I want to give as much information as possible in case anyone might be able to help.
So about 3 years ago I purchased a Samsung S7 (GM-G930f) from a phone shop. The device was rooted. This hadn't really caused any issues until today. The phone was overheating and losing it's charge very quickly. I downloaded Malwarebytes & AVG separately and did a scan with both.
One of them suggested turning off developer mode and a setting in it due to a security issue. (An OEM setting I think)
So I turned this off. A short while later the battery died. When I went to charge and turn the phone back on I got a message saying 'Custom binary locked by FAP Lock'.
After a bit of researching it seemed I had to reflash the firmware to the device. I got the most recent version from Sammobile and installed it using Odin. I used the "Home CSC" file in an effort to retain the data on the phone.
So that all seemed to work but the phone is now asking for a password- "Your phone is encrypted for security. To start up your device enter your password"
We have no clue what this password is- have tried the google account password and the samsung account password but no luck. I also logged on to the Find My Phone section on Samsung which was suggested on a couple of websites, however the device needs to be connected to a network before this service is of any use.
Is there any way at all I can retrieve the data from the phone without having to perform a factory reset? I am by no means a developer but am tech savvy and can follow clear instructions. There are recent photographs of immense sentimental value on the phone.
Also I am not some thief trying to hack into a phone. It is my partners phone and she has had it for 3 years.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated

Type (default_password) without brackets obviously, if it doesn't work root the phone with Odin and see if it's starts normally.
Also do you know if you changed photo storage to sd card? If so you can remove it and see what's pics are stored there under folder DCIM. A firmware restore does nothing to the sd card.

hey- thanks for getting back to me. Yeah I've checked the sd card already- unfortunately it was saving to the phone it seems! Just tried that password and no luck.
Will rooting the phone with Odin wipe the data? I'll have to look up how to do it so I don't mess it up!
Thanks again

No rooting won't wipe. Use cf auto root
