Things like that honestly makes me want to have gotten the Oneplus 6 instead because I love custom roms and building my own using AOSP, and to me it doesn't make sense how you can allow the same exact phone to be unlocked but not in all places, is annoying.

Won't happen the T-mobile variant G7. For the LG V30 H932, T-mobile not only stripped out the fastboot flash commands they also have different RSA encryption keys so you can't convert to another model (even temporarily) which has fastboot flash commands. They also did this for the LG G6 T-mobile, so I can't see them reversing course to help people who want to unlock bootloader and root.
Since back in May when we found the wonderful LG Oreo bootloader unlock exploit, every LG V30/V30+/V30S on the planet can now be bootloader unlocked and rooted -- EXCEPT for the the T-mobile H932. Because you need Oreo and you need (at least temporarily) fastboot flash commands.
So, all the carrier unlocked US998, European H930 and even the dual SIM H930DS (which have fastboot flash commands) can immediately be bootloader unlocked and rooted. For the others -- like the North American variants AT&T H931, Canadian H933, Verizon VS996, Sprint LS998 -- you first flash the carrier unlocked US998 firmware (aka Frankenstein) over those models to "convert" them to US998 to add back fastboot flash commands. We use dev patched LGUP. Then, after bootloader unlock and root, Sprint and Verizon users often flash back either all or part of their firmware to get back features or LTE bands (Sprint especially). They are still rooted, they still have TWRP. As a result of this, we suddenly now have tons of ROMs and custom kernels are under development.
But T-mobile H932 users are locked out of this development bonanza, because they don't have fastboot flash commands and you can't cross flash anything without bricking the phone. I would assume the same for G7? T-mobile must have demanded this, because all the other North American V30 variants share the same RSA encryption keys which make cross flashing possible. If T-mobile demanded it for their V30, seems they would do the same for the next phone also.

That blows I literally don't have any other answer but that, I remember back in the day when Verizon was no go and T-Mobile were the easy phones to root. my my how the turntables. Fu**ing John Legere I thought he was all for unlocking bootloader's and was trying to talk to Samsung to not lock it down on the S6 or S7 a couple of years ago. Just F*** dude. Welp I'll live I honestly just miss viper4android and adaway, I've been doing fine with eqfy mixed with the stock EQ and Blokada but I wish it were root apps instead.
the 710TM does have Fastboot commands, I've already played around with them, such as "fastboot getvar device-id", "fastboot oem unlocked" give the bootloader locked status, you can even flash with fastboot to unlock the bootloader with "unlock.bin". Once LG gives 710TM owners the green light, they will give us the unlock.bin

T-mo didnt demand this, If this was the case then all their devices would be the same way, I had the HTC10, None of the fastboot commands are stripped, everything is there.. you can even S/off and cross install.
and rebrand the phone........ If T-mo was at fault for the LG devices, then all would be the same way.. its only LG and LG only.. LG started doing that with the MM update on the V10 which screwed over everyone.
the only reason none of the other American devices outside the US unlocked version didnt do that.. because they didnt think anyone would be able to unlock it..
T-mo has always allowed you to unlock bootloader if OEM allows it...... This isnt T-mo its LG that has done it.. They dont want any US variant to have fastboot commands..
and since you found that Oreo Bug, you can be sure that futures devices and so on by LG will have that fixed...
This has always been LG that has done this to the American Market not US Carriers, Even the MOTO from T-mo is unlockable with full fastboot commands..................

Fastboot commands are not fastboot flash commands.
All fastboot flash commands are stripped out. And T-Mobile has different RSA encryption, apparently per demand of T-Mobile.
T-Mobile LG G6, V30 and now G7.

HTC 10 is 2016 phone. Things have changed since then. T-MOBILE is no longer dev friendly. You are living in the past.
T-Mobile even tweeted for the LG V30 you would NOT be able to unlock the bootloader. Yeah you can "fake" unlock it, but without fastboot flash commands you can't do anything with the "unlocked" bootloader. It's like having the keys to the car -- but there's no car.
We went through all this with the 2017 LG G6 and LG V30. Sorry you haven't kept up?
T-Mobile users who want root with V30 have to buy another North America variant and root it, and use on T-Mobile.

Yes, LG stripped fastboot flash commands out of most of the North America carrier variants, but you can convert ALL those -- EXCEPT for the T-Mobile H932 -- to carrier unlocked model US998. The reason you can't do that with the T-Mobile H932 is because ONLY that model has different encryption keys than other North America variants. Why would LG do that for ONLY T-Mobile H932?
I used an unlock.bin from a V30 just to see if it would attempt to flash with "fastboot flash unlock unlock.bin", it attempted to flash but errored out because of wrong unlock.bin.
The bootloader can't be unlocked on Motorola's website, someone on Telegram unlocked the bootloader of his Moto G7 Power he bought at AT&T, he sim unlocked it then put a MetroPCS sim card int here and unlocked the bootloader. What I'm wondering is if I get my phone sim unlocked, will it change the CID number? Will it make the bootloader unlockable? Will it change the bootloader? I've tried flashing MetroPCS firmware and Retail firmware, both times it changed the BL:MBM number on fastboot, so did that change the bootloader? I appreciate any help in advance. Thank you.
Nothing you can readily do will change the bootloader unlockability.
Someone unlocked the bootloader on AT&T Moto G7 Power yesterday, he said all he did was sim unlock the phone then he put in a Metro PCS sim card and then he unlocked the bootloader. Obviously it changed the bootloader because before that he wasn't able to unlock the bootloader. I know that Cricket, AT&T, and Verizon all keep their bootloaders to where they can't be unlocked which should be illegal especially since I bought the phone outright and I own the phone.
I haven't seen the details.
How was it SIM unlocked?
Changing the SIM should not change the code that is submitted on the website.

So an official unlock route.
That may have updated the code or Motorola's database so it pases for bootloader unlock.
What are the unofficial lock routes? Because obviously it's possible to root this phone somehow.

One way is buy an unlocked phone instead of one SIM locked to a carrier. Those can be bootloader unlocked out of the box.
Or go through the carrier. Policies vary so you should ask them. It appears from above that AT&T unlocking allows bootloader unlocking. That may not be true for all carriers.
There are 3rd party ways to remove a SIM lock, but that provably wouldn't allow for bootloader unlocking.
So has anybody been able to unlock bootloader on Cricket Moto g7?

Not always true. Carriers can gray out the allow bootloader unlocking option. I know Cricket did so on an E5 Supra (Plus) I have and I just got an Xfinity G7 Power & it's the same way. Even though it remains grayed out, the E5 allowed the bootloader unlock after I got the carrier code from Cricket, but then it's not on Motorola's site so it remains bootloader locked. The G7 Power was just the opposite- I paid to have it unlocked (cheaper than a month of service). I input the numbers from ADB there and got a bootloader unlock code from Motorola right away. When I tried to use it, it failed since the bootloader unlock option on the phone remains grayed out.
From what I've read here, the Metro G7 Power is the only carrier phone I've seen that is not bootloader locked by the carrier.

I bought the supra today and sadly motorola website does not support it for unlock all other versions can be however I am hoping someone finds work around at least for root etc but totally want a bootloader unlock more than anything root and twrp without it I dont even really want the dang phone

So yea I have an idea on bootloader unlocking the xt1920dl Tracfone model (nora_trac)
So my idea is to try bootloader unlock keys from other models (that you own bc I only have nora_trac)
And also I tried unlocking the bootloader with the code 611611 and it said it was successfull it factory reset the phone but it still says
Oem_locked so I think its actually unlocked but I have no way of testing it

There are no exploits or user-end mods capable of unlocking a Moto bootloader that is not officially supported for oem unlocking. If you have a Verizon, Cricket or TracFone branded Moto E5 variant, it's simply an exercise in futility to try unlocking the bootloader.
As Mr.mayb2 requested...here a rooted boot.img from the US Verizon LG Velvet.
Pulled the original boot.img directly from the kdz that was provided to me via

Then did un'kdz and un'dz.
loaded it into magisk and patched the file.

Thats the thing where everything will stand and fall.
To unlock the bootloader you need an unlock-code from the vendor.
For the EU-Version i got that via mail from LG.
But i've no clue if LG does this for US too.
Does that come down to LG or to the carriers (Verizon, ATT, etc)?

However, when I did try to use that tool I could only get my IMEI and not my device ID. It says "OK" when I enter my IMEI too so I'm wondering whether it would also accept my device ID and work anyway.
But, I'm having difficulties finding my device ID (or at least the full 64 character one they want). The ones I get from apps that pull it are only 16 character. The fastboot/bootloader method they give on that page doesn't work for me (to get the device ID). Possibly because rebooting to bootloader in ADB does nothing but reboot the phone. Rebooting to fastboot works but the commands don't work to get the device ID.
Do you know how to find the device ID otherwise?

you cant root without a bootloader unlock and you arent getting it with the verizon version. the velvet is down to $120 and although its tempting, i wouldnt do it without the unlock.

ATT doesn't sell your "BOOTLOADER UNLOCKABLE" MOTO EDGE+ 5G.
No single att branded Motorola phone is EVER eligible for official bootloader unlock.
If you want an unlocked bootloader you should only buy it directly from Motorola
Depends on who you bought it from. If you want an unlocked version always buy direct from manufacturer instead of a carrier or Amazon... They always Lock down anything they sell.

You can continue to claim you unlocked the bootloader of your att version moto g stylus 5g and call it a day.
att never sells MOTO Edge+ 5g. So either you don't actually own a moto edge+ 5g or you bought an unlocked version from somewhere else like bestbuy but not from ATT.
I am enjoying my bootloader unlocked moto g stylus 5g 2022 and you are begging others to help you with unlocking your att branded moto g stylus.

ATT never sells moto edge+ 5g. There is no att variant moto edge+ 5g at all.
For Motorola phones, usually only unlocked version, t-mobile/metro, t-mobile MVNOs, boost mobile, us cellular and google fi versions are eligible for bootloader unlock. ATT, tracfone, ATT MVNOs, verizon and verizon MVNO versions are never eligible for bootloader unlock.
Visible version used to be fully unlocked version and eligible for bootloader unlock but after visible enforcing 60-day sim-lock policy, visible is shipping dedicated visible version or verizon version motorola phones and they are no longer eligible for bootloader unlock.

I have always been able to unlock T-Mobile/Metro this is my first time dealing with a Verizon bootloader. So basically there is no way to accomplish this.
T-Mobile/ Metro by T-Mobile are bootloader unlock eligible almost immediately, though I have heard of people running into trouble with it before successfully unlocking a few days or a week later. T-Mobile requires the phone to be paid for before SIM unlocking for use with another carrier, and Metro requires you to keep service for 6 months before they'll allow you to network unlock.

JUST COPY ALL THE 5 STRINGS IN NOTEPAD AND PUT THEM RIGHT AFTER EACH OTHER COPY TO THAT WEBSITE FORM
AND YOU SHOULD GET UNLOCK UNIQUE_KEY

start like this
1. so basically go to about phone and tap build untill it says your now a developer
2. go to setting now and type developer options in search and check on the oem unlocking and adb device
3. download minimal fastboot adb file from web or where your left with platform-tools forlder
go to cmd prompt on your computer go to the location in the folder platform-tools
like mine was the folder in documents so i went like cmd windows and typed C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\platform-tools
after just put your phone in bootloader mode or fastboot mode just turn off phone and after hold down the
volume down and power button together till you see the fastboot screen
4. type the command fastboot devices
fastboot oem get_unlock_data

put all five string together go to that website

and fill out the form they will send you in email the unique key
then just fastboot oem unlock UNIQUE_KEY MCHKI5V3QAWVQ3ZETDYK
with your emailed unique key and just tap down button and power and now your bootloader is unlocked
ive attatched some pics since every code is different i dont mind sharing mine
please look at the pics so u can see how i did it with notepad string next after string data and just put it like in the form of tha website and you should get the unique key check your email spam or delete email
mine went to my deleted email for some reason and as you can see i can only relock my bootloade with lock cmd fastboot oem lock UNIQUE_KEY MCHKI5V3QAWVQ3ZETDYK
wich you dont have to because now you can isntall custom roms and magisk root

Its because that feature is always built in to any android device, but it is up to who you bought it from that decides if they will allow you to unlock it or not!

try flasing wtih the tmobile file
download the coverter.bat to platform-tools folder and also extract the zip of the tmo firmware
click on convert.bat to creat a flashfile.bat
put your phone on fastboot or bootloader mode the same when you turn off you phone and hold volume down and powre together when you get to fastboot screen
just click the flashfile.bat
and it will flash your phone then try the above i mentioned to unlock bootloader instructions
thats how i did it
i have tmobile service so it worked out for me
maybe after unlock your bootloader you can reflash the same way for your service like
att, boost mobile, cricket, retus, tmobile or tracfone
again my phone is the xt-2131 version
also everytime you reflash something and have the option to go to the phone setting you have to oem unlock
and adb debuggin on so that you dont brick it
