Unlocked Nexus One, and still getting "Remote: Not Allowed" error message.

I just got my N1 back from googles repair service, and they unrooted it, as expected. In trying to get it back to how it was before as quickly as possible, I used the fastboot to do the oem unlock, but now, when I try to use fastboot to flash a customer recovery, I get (Remote: Not Allowed) error message. Does anybody have any idea why this is happening and what I can do to get my first recovery image set up?
And yes, before anybody asks, the phone is definitely unlocked. The lock shows on the initial loading screen, and the big pink *unlocked* is on top of the bootloader screen.

[Q] Issue with htcdev.com

I've read thru quite a bit of threads but found no solution to the problem, Im trying to unlock the bootloader but I cant seem to be able to login to the htcdev website. It keeps resetting everytime after 'login success' screen is shown.
However, when I try to just proceed with 'unlock bootloader' and login thru the popup window, I get logged in, but once I go thru those legal terms and stuff, I go back to not being logged in again. Is there some way I can bypass this problem? Tried many other browers but didnt work :S

Remove Bootloader unlocked error at boot

Anyone know how to get rid of the annoying bootloader message everytime you boot or reboot?
I don't think there's any way to get rid of it.
Judging by what I've read, it's something that's hard baked into Android.

Checking bootloader unlock status

Is there a way to check this? I tried adding the phone months ago but nothing seems to happen. In developer options, when I tried to "add account and device" I get a pop up "Couldn't verify". Currently the top of the Mi Unlock Status screen says "This device is locked" so I guess my attempt to request an unlock so far have not worked.
Anyone?
When you start your phone, if its bootloader is unlocked you have the word Unlocked in the center bottom of the screen with the Mi logo.

Very helpful, mine does not, so I guess my attempt to register for unlocking has failed. Anyone know what I can do?
