Downgrade oreo to nougat G955U

Hello, im fairly new to android and wanted to root my s8+ but it turns out that I'm running oreo which I believe isn't possible to root. Is there any method for me to down grade from version 8.0 back to 7.0 or will the root work fine on oreo? My phone is the g955u snapdragon model. Thanks for helping out!

Can't find the lineageOS oreo version for my samsung j7 perx sm-j727p boost

Has anyone found a version of lineageOS to install oreo on the samsung j7 perx sm-j727p 2017 from boost mobile ? I've been searching the internet for days now with no luck . There doesn't seem to be any custom rom that supports oreo on this phone , though there are videos of people who have successfully installed oreo 8.1 on 2016 versions of the j7 and even 2015 versions . How is it possible for the older models but not the newer models ? If anyone can point me in the right direction or let me know one does not exist for my particular model , I would greatly appreciate it .
Kind Reguards ! ! !

Nobody seems to be able to that I can find, given it's that specific Verizon baseband. That's why I asked for a link to how.
