I am using stock kernel n stock rom, only rooted with Magisk. I tried Chromecast is ok, miracast is not.
Sent from my HTC U12+ using XDA Labs
I used mircast once, it worked and I'm pretty sure I was rooted, not sure if it was stock kernel or cleanslate or even kiriskura but it worked. I did try it yesterday with Kirisakura and when it was trying to connect, the phone shut off, I had force reboot.
AllCast from playstore is ok. but large mkv files are really laggi

I believe this is the video I saw when I rooted my 3113.
I have rooted and installed twrp without a PC just after you follow the video disable the Chinese super su app that gets installed and get super su from the play store
So I just finally received my phone and of course want to root it and switch over from my htc one m7.
are there any features of rooting that still are in the process of being worked out?
main concern does titanium backup work fully

Titanium Backup works fine. Any apps that use SafetyNet(Android Pay, Snapchat, etc) won't work once you unlock your bootloader/root.

Snapchat, and most banking apps. Except simple and chase that I know of.
There are still tons of warnings of permanent bad things happening if you relock the bootloader without stock software installed. I know no details but I recommend you research that first before starting anything.
What if you just root to modify the hosts file, then into it and lock? Seems like that should be fine
I know one workaround for Snapchat used to be unlocking the bootloader, installing the app and logging in, then rooting. Any word on if that still applies? I'm using a 2014 Moto X still on Lollipop, so I'm afraid I'm a touch out of the loop.

Test and find out if you still get yellow warning at boot. If no warning... Maybe you won't be potentially bricked by red lockout if you lock.
If you you see yellow warning, certainly that is not fine.

Apparently, as I've been informed, to lock the BL again, you will have to do a wipe, so no good.
Just flash a custom kernel, they bypass the bootloader unlock check for safetynet. Doesnt' help you with root though
Yeah, I might end up doing that. So SafetyNet detects systemless root now?

Is there a way to get root without resetting the phone? I am told if you the supported BL unlock, it wipes you.

Did you have to enable something to make AP work after loading that kernel? It isn't working for me.

Oh I didn't know that. I did root. Any way to hide that too?
hello to all of you,
So i know there are probably many threads about this, but i just cant get my xz premium rooted. i've been trying for a while now.
Last time i rooted a phone was in the windows mobile 6 time lol.
So i tried to unlock the bootloader with the official sony guide on their site bit it didnt work.
i tried some apps like kingroot and oneclickroot but i quickly found that kingroot only gets adware on my phone and oneclickroot is payed and hell i aint paying for nothing.
I tried some manual methods but also these i cant get to work.
So is there any simple thread on how to root my xz premium ?
side note:
my volume up button is broken but i still got it into fastboot so i got this far.
thanks in advantage.

Well there is the problem, cause my phone isnt rooted, but i think im gonna give up cause im moving to the oneplus 7 pro soon
Hey guys!
This is urgent!!
Since I've rerooted my android with magisk, I've had a problem. Sometimes when I want to install an application of the internet, it won't install. It will download, yes, but when I want to install it into my phone, it prompts me to open it in another app or share it. When I click that, it says there was an error. But the thing is, it shouldn't even ask me that. Normally I should be able to directly install the app but it won't. This problem doesn't happen always, but it occurs now and then and more frequently lately..someone please help me and tell me why exactly this is happening?? I can't install any apps like this.
thanks
my device is also rooted with magisk,i never had any profile.May be problem is safety net, use safety net fix module and restart the device

I download the stock Rom of rjmixm and extract the boot.img.
Then I install Magisk manager and click on" select and patch file". I choose the boot.img and click on "let's go". After magisk patches it, it got renamed to something like "boot_patchedVmK" or whatever. I copy it to my computer and flash it via command - - > flash boot boot_patcherVmK...img". After successful flashing of the patched boot.img onto my phone, I restart it. Then my phone is rooted.

I'd experienced this same "Share" issue.
Go to Settings - Developer Options and check to see if the "Turn on MIUI optimisation" is ENABLED.
I found that fixed the "Share" issue for me.

Download and unzip files
Reboot phone too Download Mode by holding Power+VolDwn+VolUp as phone starts up whilst USB connected to PC
Open Odin then load the AIO in the USERDATA SLOT along with the A326USQU3AUE7 AP , BL , CP , CSC.
Then hit Start on Odin.
Wait for phone to boot by itself into TWRP , when the TWRP Terminal pops open just type multidisabler and it will continue its automated process
Phone will automatically run format data/cache , will flash twrp , custom kernel for ttl tweaks, magisk , safenetfix , bluetooth pairing fix , wearable pairing fix.
Heres the AIO
I have the AP where can I find the BL, CP, CSC? I don't see them in the AIO I could mistaken.
I really just wanna try the ttl magisk module but I can't install it do I have to extract zip first for module? Or do I flash in twrp?

The ttl module needs to he flashed with magisk. For the ttl module to work you need to flash my custom kernel in twrp
If you just want the ttl module
On telegram search for TTL65 channel and get it from there.

No. You might run into an issue where pairing keys arent saved, so you have to re-pair every 24 hours or restart of phone, but this is fixed in 30 seconds with Bluetooth fix.
When i first rooted I didnt have the issue. When I started to dig in, screw things up, and restore I got the issue.
Everything works great now!

Quick question is it possible to flash in Odin with just the ap and aio? Do those extra files need to be flashed and what is there purpose specifically?
