HELP!!!! I think I might have bricked my phone - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

I was installing the Havoc ROM on my phone and when I was installing the ROM zip via TWRP something went wrong and then I rebooted, it did warn me that no OS is installed.
Now the phone only boots into fastboot mode, even if I select recovery or bootloader it starts again fastboot...
is there something I can do about this... flash it again with OPO OSS rom
it doesnt even power off always comes back to fastboot mode...
Regards
Amit

I can't root my OS12 !

And I have no idea why. Before I downloaded the newest update I upgraded my TWRP to the latest version. After the update I tried first to install SuperSU via google store but didnt work so i downloaded the installable zip and tried through TWRP. All I get is : E: failed to verify whole-file signature; E: signature verification failed.
Tried the old SuperSu that always worked (2.02) but I get the same bug.
I think the problem is that instead of TWRP when i start my phone with start button + vol down it gets into CYANOGEN recovery. I just installed TWRP ver 2.8.5.1 but its not working =/ dont know what to do, help please

You need to resinstall TWRP, just after you have done so, reboot back to TWRP instead of rebooting the whole system. Once back in TWRP you can flash SuperSU again, then reboot and you should be fine. Also make sure you have the cyanogen recovery option unticked under developer settings.

However, when i click on "Reboot to Recovery" it does not work) I have recovery installed in TWRP manager (ver 2.8.6.0) maybe i can do sth with this ?
Edit: I was able to start TWRP manager, now I'm not again because it says "root is required for this app"

Once it flashes, are you rebooting back into recovery first (without switching off, fully rebooting, anything else)? You should boot into TWRP and then you can reboot fully, it should be fine. If you just reboot out of TWRP after flashing the it gets overwritten by the stock cyanogen recovery.
After completing the TWRP flash in ABD run the following command.
Code:
adb reboot recovery

Im doing what Im told, so - After the phone has booted back up, turn it off. Now to enter your newly installed custom recovery, hold volume down + power. The phone should boot into recovery mode.
Wish I wasnt so braindead on this field =/ and the cyanogen recovery welcomes me every time
okay so instead of fastboot reboot command i should write the one you gave me? gonna try
EDIT: ERROR, DEVICE NOT FOUND
yeah, i was doing it wrong but i did it right this time and it is still not working. Have my usb debugging on
Is it possible that after the update i dont have the bootloader anymore?

Okay. I tried and tried but failed. I have no idea what to do anymore. Downloaded new drivers for pc and new fastboot, tried like 15times to flash twrp on my phone and seemingly it worked but when I rebooted, turned it off and on again with volume - it's always cyanogen recovery there, never twrp. I downloaded twrp manager but it won't work because it requires root and I can't root because manager won't work. Saw on oneplus forum that some people have exact same problem but there S been no solution so far and I have no idea what to do anymore. The only thing I haven't tried yet is to hold start+volume- keys after I flash twrp and reboot the phone using the code, so instead of having to turn it off and on again maybe I ll be able to get into the twrp instantly and it won't get overwritten by cyanogen recovery.

OK so i am experiencing the EXACT same issues. When I go into Fastboot Mode all I get is a small cyanogen head forllowed by the words 'FASTBOOT MODE' I get no menu to navigate or anything. TWRP appears to install but I get Cyanogen recover every time. If I use the toolkit and go to fastboot mode it sees it as an unlocked fastboot device but will not allow me to root the device.

After flashboot reboot do not let phone turn on again but use the start + volume- combination, it will take you to twrp. Found the solution finally but I still have some issues with graphics and Google account =/

"No command." error after flashing Recovery TWRP

I am having some issues trying to flash Recovery (TWRP). When ever I try to boot to Recovery after flashing it, it says "No command." even after I did everything correctly.
My Nexus 5s bootloader is unlocked and I am currently running Marshmallow 6.0.1 if that matters.

What do u mean it says no command, do u mean u still end up in stock recovery, the one with the android and triangle? If that's what's happening then u aren't flashing twrp correctly, or ur not booting strait to recovery after flashing it, how are u flashing it, via command line? If so do this:
fastboot flash recovery "recovery name here".zip
fastboot reboot recovery
That should fix your issue, if u don't boot straight to recovery after u flash it, or if u use something like flashify, when the device reboots it overwrites recovery with the stock recovery, which is what ur seeing

And after flashing the custom recovery again, do not unplug the USB cable or let the device boot. After flashing the recovery, the display should go back to the bootloader, use the volume rocker to highlight recovery, press the power to get into recovery. This will make sure that you flashed right this time. The TWRP logo should be display if everything goes right.
Recovery is flashed with the fastboot command "fastboot flash recovery name-of-file.img".

Yeah, sorry for missing that.. And do you need a rooted device in order to flash a TWRP?
Root is not required to flash a custom recovery or a custom rom.

It seems to me that this is only required with TWRP 3.0.0 while 2.8.7.1 will happily survive a normal system boot. I've tried right now, just one phone, back to back tests, no other changes.
How come the phone overwrites 3.0.0 with stock but leaves 2.8.7.1 untouched? This is weird.
Am I missing something, perhaps?

Check Agent Fabulous's AOSP Nougat ROM thread. He has given instructions regarding TWRP.It solved the flickering issue.

You dont have to panic. Since you can enter into fastboot mode by holding " vol- and power button " , you can flash latest TWRP recovery version 3.2 which is flicker free. Once you are done with it , try to flash a new rom with clean install. If that doesnt work , connect your mobile to pc in fastboot mode and open flashtool and select LOCK THE BOOTLOADER assuming you have already unlocked it. If your bootloader is locked , you can easily restore your device using SONY COMPANION. Its really easy. Let me know if this helps!!!
but it doesnt enter in fastboot mode, thats the problem xD

well, i flashed twrp into the boot folder or something, i dont remember and already took it as a loss...
but the phone doesnt enter into flash mode or anything, the only thing it does is bootlooping on the twrp boot screen

Stuck on bootloop.

I'm using Lenovo K6 Power... And wished to use custom ROM. So did all the procedures(ADB, TWRP, SuperSu, ETC). Now, at the time of installing custom ROM you have to wipe all data including your phone's UI (ROM) so I did that. Now I tried to Install that custom ROM several time but it didn't install, I don't know why. So I clicked on reboot button... And then boom... My phone is stuck at Lenovo logo. I know I made this mistake. I didn't understand that, How can a phone reboot if it's original OS is deleted.
It can't even enter in TWRP recovery mode. Fastboot can be seen sometimes.
So please me with this, I'm completely new in this. Read so many forums and watched so many videos on YouTube for this. But they didn't help me. Any help will be appreciated. Thank You.
Highlights-
1. Stuck at Booting Animation.
2. Can't enter into TWRP recovery mode any how.
3. Fastboot Appears on top sometimes.

Is not bad: many do not understand
Eeach mobile device can get run, but without an OS it stops after bootloader finished, because it's just a box of bits.
simple
when bootloader shows up, or bring it up with key combinations, connect phone to PC, and in fastboot/bootloader (on phone) type
fastboot reboot recovery
or if not work then:
fastboot boot c:\twrp.img
and do the rest via twrp, like flashing custom ROM again, or just flash stock ROM

Just reboot to download mode like this
When your phone is in twrp press volume up, down, power
Connect the USB Cable to PC
Press and hold Volume Up and Down keys while pressing these keys, connect the phone to USB Cable
Release all key when you see ODIN Mode / Download Mode and flash the stock firmware. If not possible try this.
Is your phone recognized by your computer? If yes try installing adb drivers when it goes to recovery mode. Even though the twrp is glitching, the computer should recognize it as adb device. If yes, just do adb reboot download and flash stock rom
I did it, thanks!
