Pixel 3 XL and Samsung Galaxy Watch On Verizon Wireless - Google Pixel 3 Questions & Answers

Basic Question : Has anyone successfully activated a Samsung Galaxy Watch (LTE) that is line shared with a Pixel 3 XL?
The in-store rep swapped my SIM into a Samsung phone to get past the first hurdle... But the LTE just won't activate. Eventually Verizon said they aren't compatible and that a fix will be coming in early 2019.

[Q] (Verizon) Switching phones during contact?

Well I recently got a Galaxy S4 (subsidized) on Verizon with a 2 year contract. However, if I were to buy a phone (e.g. Nexus 5), would they allow me to deactivate my Galaxy S4 and activate my Nexus 5 as long as I continue to pay for the contract?
Thanks,

Phone closest to Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Hello,
I had a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 that had recently developed bootlooping problems and I used USPS to send out to a store. The store called me today and told me that they had received the package but there was no phone inside. I am ready to give up and buy another phone. I liked the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and don't want to pay for any of the latest models. Unfortunately Verizon has discontinued Note 2 and I was wondering as to which phone would come closest to the Note 2 in specs. Most important for me is the 5.5" display. My phone was unlocked and I am not in contract with Verizon so if I find a phone that matches the Note 2 specs I might even switch carriers.

Project Fi

I have ordered a SIM kit for Project Fi and it will be arriving tomorrow. I know Google says only Nexus Devices are supported and I have one on order, but I saw a video on Youtube where someone put the Project Fi SIM in his T-Mobile Galaxy S6 and it worked.
Curious if anyone has tried doing the same with a Verizon Galaxy S6?

According to wikipedia, T-mobile uses bands 2, 4 and 12 while Sprint uses 2, 25, 26 and 41.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks
Verizon says the VZW S6 only supports bands 4 and 13.

So with that I would say no but doesnt hurt to give it a shot :good:
Let us know if it works. I'm curious too.
Give it a shot
Definitely interested to see if would work.

Still, best of luck to you.

eSIM = not locked to a carrier?

I have a Verizon model Great S2, never activated, only used via BT. Can it be activated in T-Mobile? Do I need to get it unlocked?
Thanks.
I also have the Verizon model and was told the same but not sure since I myself haven't tried to activate the watch.

I'm also wondering about the radio. Do the different models have different modems, and since the Verizon one has a CDMA modem, is it incompatible with T-Mobile bands?
If you look at Network Mode you'll see WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) so I'm guessing you could, I would check to see if yours is the same, which I wouldn't be surprised if it was. I have a 2nd hand Gear S2 that was bought from TMO. Then again, what do I know since I was too chicken to buy a Verizon one to find out before buying the one I have.
OK, I live chatted with Samsung and called their support phone line. According to both, the carrier versions are carrier locked, and cannot be unlocked. So, no switching between carriers. They told me I'll need to buy another Gear S2 if I want to move to another carrier.
If the Verizon version is capable of LTE then it should be carrier unlocked out of the box just like their phones. It was part of the stipulation for them to be able to buy the extra spectrum they bought a while back.

Anyone tried to Verizon Gear S2 on a GSM network (AT&T or T-mobile)?
Just bought a Gear S2 for $99 refurbished and thinking maybe I should have bought GSM because or worldwide compatibility.
None of the Gear S2 have LTE which is carrier compatible. Verizon Sprint have CDMA 3G and AT&T and T-Mobile have GSM 3G.

I attempted it yesterday, apperantly verizons model doesn't have an esim number so it can't be used.

I activated my S2 Verizon on Page Plus. Put a $10 pin on it that will last 120 days.
$0.10/min talk, $0.05 text, $0.10 meg data.
Given my experience with the Gear S this is enough for my needs when I'm occasionally without my phone.

JB can you say more on how you got it activated I'm on Page Plus? Something like that would be perfect for me. Just order a T-mobile S2 Classic. Thanks.

Switching from Samsung Gear S3 to LG Wear Urbane 2 (T-Mobile)

I just bought the Samsung Gear S3, apparently didn't do my research, and failed to realize there's no Android Wear 2.0 support. As an Android app developer, I can't easily port my apps to the Tizen OS and thus have no choice but to return my Samsung Gear S3 for a device that supports Android Wear 2.0.
I've been looking around T-Mobile's website and wasn't very satisfied with their lineup of Android watches. I took a look at LG's watches, which would go well with my LG V20 on T-Mobile, yet saw they only have variants for AT&T & Verizon.
Has anyone here been able to successfully get an LG Urbane 2 working on T-Mobile's 4G LTE network? Is there an unlocked version that would most likely support enough bands on the T-Mobile network?
Thanks,
Nick
I use the att version on the T-Mobile network with no problem. Customer support even got all the forwarding for my number set up for the watch as well.
I put a T-Mobile SIM and it worked , got a signal and showed LTE at times but I got LTE more often using an ATT SIM so I used a Truphone SIM which is ATT MVNO in to use for the times I want cellular.
So yes, works, but be aware fewer LTE bands and it drops signal more often than a phone so more for email notification etc when away from phone.
+1 to post 2 and 3. The Urbane 2nd edition LTW W200A comes unlocked. As soon as you insert the simcard you can use it as an independent phone to browse, watch videos, hear music, and many more things.
HEEEEEY! @keennay You have an LG V20 (H918)!!! Me too! lol. Are you using any custom rom with it?
