Yeah the built in "Albums" doesn't support that, checked with customer support. Just install and use this, works great

That's a great app but I stopped using it when I started getting messages saying it will become paid after November 12th.

Last weekend i ripped a few movies and TV shows off blu-rays and threw them on an SD card so that i could watch them on my S4. Today i was browsing the web version of google play, when I noticed a selection of my ripped videos had shown up in the "My movies and TV" tab. On any device i can watch these videos as if i had purchased them from the Play store. I can find no reference to this feature anywhere. has anyone else encountered this or am i simply going crazy? If so how did it happen as i can't seem to get this to happen again.

Well it's certainly not a "problem" more like an accidental feature i can find no record of existing.

I suppose but it freaked me out as it appears I could throw any media (for example a pirated TV show) on my SD card and it would be instantly legitimized into google play. This seems like it would be a huge deal yet i find no reference to it and it can't be a bug as it functions like a feature. It leaves me very confused. Especially since nobody seems to be aware of it's existence.

I'm not sure for video's but we can send photo's. Have to go to friend to check the video but I think there wouldn't be a problem.
Also I haven't find out yet how to send music but I think I have an idea.
Here you have an tutorial how to use NFC to send: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QISeei0R-KQ
EDIT: Does work for video's and music too.
What's up,
So I've had my Tablet Z for just about a month and the only real complaint I have is the YouTube app video quality is pretty bad! What little setting adjustments there are don't do anything to help. It looks like my player is playing lo-res 480p video on an HD screen even when HD is highlighted as the play option.
Netflix, Sony Video player and inline/embedded videos all look great so I know it's specific to the YouTube player.
Hoping that the update that's due out this week will alleviate the problem, part of the update addresses the YouTube app. I didn't know that manufacturer's had their own versions of the Google core apps, learn something new everyday.
Anybody else?
Thanks.
They don't have their own version of the apps. They can't. Youtube, like many other apps, is closed source. The fix includes something in the file system related to YT, but not the app itself. I guess the update is related to videos most of the times stop working in the middle of it for no reason. Embed with a browser, and other apps, work just fine.

Check out the app called viral it solves the problem plus you can use it in floating mode or minimize it to play while screen is off when I started using viral it could go to 1080p which looks gorgeous on this device but for some reason I can only choose up to 720p but it's not tacky like it is on the official app

I think it runs at least 720p on supported videos... I think there is a hack to force use 1080p, not sure...
So I uninstalled the most recent update and the video quality dramatically improves! I'll stay with 4.5.17 until they have another major updates.I'll miss some of the cooler navigation features of the new version, but is rather have the picture quality back.
I'm surprised I'm there's only one this affected.

You're not the only one.... Same issues here, as well as on my dad's XTZ and my Nexus 5.... Seems like the new version of the app doesn't upscale from 720p to 1080p very nicely at all.....
Does anyone notice this;
(I've also tested this with my friends OnePlus One, manufacturers dates are about 1 month apart)
With instagram videos, vine videos, gallery videos, etc.. When I play them and then pause, I notice when I play it again it lags and the audio countinues to play but the video just stops unless I keep playing/pausing back and forth till the video resumes again. Don't know what this is buts its really annoying. Googled the answer for this and it seems no one has this issue.. I've tried several roms including CM11s gives me the same issue. Any solution or fix?
I think it has to do more with the app loading the video than the phone itself. I don't have issues playing videos in my gallery, but on Instagram and Vine, even Snapchat sometime lag.

My brothers Nexus 5 and S4... Works perfectly..
Why would it only be doing this on the OnePlus One...?

Yes. When I play any types of videos and pause them I get a lag (video frozen but audio countinues to play) when I press play again. Sometimes it will lag for 2-3s then continue to play.
Wipe the cache on the gallery, vine, and instagram.
You PM'd me about this earlier. I don't use Instagram, Vine, or Gallery Videos (I use Gallery but I don't notice any lag in videos, I rarely ever use it though).
Some suggestions,
- Have you tried? http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/themes-apps/mod-smooth-scrolling-mod-mahdi-rom-t2840934
- Have you tried any custom kernels? If so, which ones?
- Are these fresh installations of Vine/Instagram/etc? Or are they backups from prior phones. If they're not fresh installations, try @Nexii's tip. If it continues to proceed, reinstall the app.

Same thing happens to me. Happens mainly on Instagram.
Like I might replay a video and the beginning of the video freezes but the audio continues to play. It has done this one every ROM I've used on the OnePlus One. May be hardware related.
i just played a few videos and have no lag running cm11s.

I'm starting to believe that too as my other friend is not affected by this.
It's not hardware. Hardware wouldn't make your videos lag. It's software and is caused by your set up. Take a video of the lag if you must demonstrate it.

Update;
I flashed the XNPH25R and went on with the phone, the phone did not have any of that absurd lag..
After flashing the next update in sequence, XNPH30O, the lag exists. Maybe related to the firmware updating from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4
Hello, as you all know recording a video stops any music reproduction.
I found a post about using Instagram and Snapchat to get around the problem, but I don't want to use any of those two. And since I don't think it's possible to do that from the default camera app, do you know of any third-party ones that allow to do that?
Cheers
wow !!!!such a important question!

What you are looking for is an option to record video from your phone while capturing "internal audio". The only options that I know of require connecting an android device to PC and using the PC to capture video along with the audio. There are no android apps that allow this that I know of unless you have android 10, android 10 can supposedly use the ADV Screen recorder app..

Yeah, it kinda is. Since the issue's always been around and I'm sure a lot of people other than myself find it quite bothering. And as such, it deserves to be discussed on a forum dedicated to making the most out of our devices. But thanks for checking in!
