[Q] Does the VZW Galaxy S6 work on AT&T LTE bands?

ANOTHER UPDATE: I went on LTE Discovery, and found out that AT&T uses Band 17 LTE in my area. Looks like I'm getting the AT&T version
UPDATE: Just found this in another thread, but still a bit confused
Anyone know if the VZW Galaxy S6 works on AT&T LTE? Apparently, it works fine with voice, text, 3G, and HSPA data, but I was wondering if it would work on AT&T LTE.
The CDMA phone supports bands 2 / 4 / 5 / 13
The GSM phone supports bands 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 7 / 8 / 12 / 17 / 20 / 29 / 30
Since the Verizon version is cheaper, GSM unlocked and has less bloatware, I was just wondering if I can get LTE? Or should I just buy the more expensive AT&T version
Thanks in advance

Tmobile Note 5 on with Verizon Sim??

Can someone please do me a huge favor? If you have a T-mobile note 5 and another Verizon 4g phone, and your note 5 is unlocked. Can you please pop the Verizon sim card into the note 5..
I have Verizon service and can't switch anytime soon, but I looked up the specs on the Verizon and T-Mobile Note 5 and they have the same bands. I want to buy an unlocked T-Mobile Note 5 so I can have root, but I need to make sure it will work on Verizon first.

I thought Verizon didn't use sim cards? I read somewhere that Verizon and Sprint phones can be used with Att/Tmo but not the other way. Could be wrong though.

Theoretically you could but only for data not sure if Verizon will let you. calling requires CDMA which our phone does not have. Attached Verizon specs.
Data works great. Just no calls nor text. Tried it for myself

Is there no way to force VoLTE on Verizon for calling and messaging? I was just gifted an unlocked T-mobile Note 5, but I'm on Verizon.
I have no idea. I traded the phone away a couple days ago for a edge plus
Ya I am in same boat as you , I'm waiting for my note 5 tmobile to be unlocked , I will let you as soon as possible , 1 to 2 days hopefully
Tested mine with the latest update, temp unlock method selected. No dice with VZW, but I could access ATT service, so I know the unlock was successful.

No. Not that I am aware of. Volte is registered on vzw sides and requires an approved phone to activate. The only option you might have is a close to stock vzw note 5 rom
Just to answer an old question

There is no such thing as a Verizon Note 5 rom.
So far the Verizon Note 5 phone is not root-able at
all, check out the Verizon Note 5 XDA forum and
see for yourself.
None of the Verizon Samsung Note 5 or the Verizon S6 Edge+ phones are root-able.
(just like the AT&T Note 5 and the AT&T S6 Edge+ in xda forums are not root-able.)
But in any case Good luck, and have a very Merry Christmas.

Verizon Note 5 on ATT network

I've read that the verizon note 5 doesn't use the same LTE band as att
Can you verify that data speeds are full LTE speeds.
I'm wanting to switch to att for the unlimited data plan they are now offering but I can't justify new phones when I already have relatively new ones.

Verizon note 5 had lte band 2,4 which AT&T uses. AT&T uses band 17 too which is the main band so when I'm out of that band it will connect to band 2 or 4 and if not I'll just get hspa speed

Sprint Note 5 on T-Mobile Carrier aggregation

How can I get T-Mobile carrier aggregation on the sprint note 5....I know that the sprint note 5 only has it on 41+41.

I am trying to do the exact same thing. I have had the Sprint Note 5 with a Straight Talk T-Mobile SIM in it for a while. And it does work but something is definitely not right. I have messed with the APN settings and I have my MSL and have checked data setting and put the band priority for 2, 4, and 12.
Not sure what's wrong but just can't seem to get it right.
You will not have CA on T-mobile or ATT on Sprint phone. Sprint phone only supports CA on band 41

Can Indian Note 7 Pro LTE Bands be modded for USA

Have been using Redmi series of phones for a while. My son plans to be in US for 13 months. Indian Note7 pro only is compatible with two LTE Bands in US that too only from T Mobile and with one LTE Band of AT&T.
https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/US/redmi-note-7-pro is the link I used to check compatibility.
Even Mi A3 Indian version got only 2 LTE Bands, same as Note 7 pro.
Wonder if anyone knows if there are other LTE bands enabled, but not listed? Also, if there is any mod by which you can enable other LTE Bands like B2 and B4?
Any info will be really helpful.
use QXDM tool to unlock bands
