Just an empty screen and a lot of advertising

it didnt work cuz android oreo , they changed stored wifi password from system to data
i will update my app soon to work on oreo and up

you can suggest features it will be helpful
1)you have to change app name to something more usual.
2)add option to recover after f.reset.
3)recover from different android versions.(ex:recover passwords from android 9 when downgrading to android 8)
4)backup to externalDD and to gdrive
5)restore directrly from gdrive
6)auto backup with custom time sync to gdrive.
7)remove these ads.even adaway wasn't able to block them.

Pixel Launcher OMR1-4113793 Backport for Android 6.0.1+
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I'm boring and I keep posting the same thing over and over after each Developer Preview from Android O 8.0 releases... But I needed to do this backport for my SHIELD Tablet anyways, so I really don't mind sharing it here. Find this irrelevant and repetitive, feel free to close the thread.
So... Yet another time, the title says it all.
This is a quick (I spent 3 hours on it) backport of the Pixel Launcher OMR1-4113793, extracted from the Android O (8.0) Production release. I extracted the APK from the sailfish (Google Pixel) and tested it on my SHIELD Tablet, and as it wasn't working I modded it so that it'd work just fine on any Android 6.0.1+ devices.
I have implemented the Google's signature verification patch, as according to this thread so that the application doesn't Force Close on launch, as well as all the goodies from the Pixel Launcher ODR-4023749 v3 backport.
I've tested the application in my SHIELD Tablet running official LineageOS 13.0 nightlies, as well as in my Wileyfox Swift 2 with Android 7.1.1, and seems to be working like a charm with latest Google Play Services installed.
However, like last time I'd like to roll call all of you to please, test it and report back with any issue you find.

Just put it in the system with a file manager that support root directories like solid explorer with right permissions set (-rw-r--r-- ) and reboot

I ended up using a different magisk module called app systemizer. I only asked because he had made one previously. Thanks though
By the way you can use Lucky Patcher or many other apps to make Launcher as system-app

Yeah, the pixel launcher doesn't show up in your app drawer.
If you want to select it as your default launcher you'll have to do that from settings. Look for a setting called home. It should be under the default apps category

Lucky Patcher did not give me the option to move to system. Do you need to have a rooted device?

I downloaded solid explorer and enabled it to show the root folder.

I tried this, but without rooted device it won't let me

After trying all S8 ported roms i found the S8 camera is not good as stock. May be its only for me but seriously i found S8 camera in all S8 ported roms are not good.. So i decided to make a full Stock S7 Edge Camera with all supporting files for Batman Rom v1.3. It should work in all S8 ported roms for S7 and S7 Edge. I made it for my personal use. Just sharing here and if someone found it useful then they can use it..
I have tested it in Batman ROM v1.3. You can test other roms and report here.

Uninstall Back Camera Selfie
Go to settings/apps/show system app and find shooting mod provider. Then delete data and then try. Working fine here
Cleared data of shootingmod and lost all extra modes including pro.
Reflashed the zip and everything is perfect now. Thanks for helping

Just checked and found the bug. Will fix in v2

What's the difference with root vs no root?
I am root
With the root version can you increase the brightness and volume with gestures? I have the non-root version and this is not possible

root >> same package name and you can use login to your account without needs to install MicroG.

This version doesn't ask for permissions after installation, just stuck at the startup black screen like this.

Otherwise it will not work...
Miui pie has been reworked for enable camera2api.
Previous tweak will not work..

I have enabled Camera2API, Gcam 5 works, and later I found V1.4.032219.1950 also works.
Seems it is due to some differences between MIUI Global and China ROMs.
BTW, is there a mod that supports object tracking in video recording?

Manual option in stock camera doesn't depend on camera2 api....find the word "manual" in /syste/etc/device_features/whyred.xml
Add these lines
<bool name="support_camera_manual_function">true</bool>
<bool name="support_camera_manual_function_focus">true</bool>
<bool name="support_camera_manual_function_et">true</bool>
Save and reboot.

You can either replace or keep the original one renaming for backup
Just had the MIUI 12 update. Apart from the new control center ( which i have turned off) and floating windows there isnt much change ? i was expecting a bit more.

I also received it via ota, but it is not downloading, gives an error.
Miui12 changed a lot in my poco f2 pro 8gb... Some video apps are lagging. I cannot watch movies normally without lags... Any ideas ? I have switched off power mode related options and also tried to run video app (canal+) in game turbo mode. Unfortunately it did not change anything...

I used Huawei phones before Xiaomi, never had this issue, quiet frustrating.
I got miui 12 for poco f2 pro (QJKMIXM) yesterday by OTA.
everything good so far
but anyone know how to edit new control center? O mean change icon size and color grid top 2 big tile?
i only can add and remove and rearrange icons

I updated to MIUI12 yesterday since then I'm unable to use banking apps Gpay or Imobile. Receiving insert sim error. Terribly disappointed with the rom after all the hype given.
Google chrome is getting frozen very often... Is it only my phone MiUi12 is really really bad on poco f2 pro ...
Ps. I did not notice any problems with google pay or any sim errors. Just lagging videos and frozen issues with google hrome...

Fixed the issue. Permission reset to default from App Ops. Only gpay doesn't work, which is manageable at least. I sense Xiaomi screwing something with gpay.

For MI it is rolled back... so thats the reason...
Try with downmi apk from play store, and install it manually, or via link

I was able to download the app using vpn.
Why rolled back though? Any problem?

Last week I've got MIUI 12.0.1.0 | Stable.
But I tested this, too. And I suppose I've got the same MIUI 12.0.1.0 | Stable as before. I see no difference.
