Impossible to unlock bootloader (TF700T) - Asus Transformer TF700

So i've been having this problem for at least 3 years. The unlock app is telling me to connect to wifi but i am... This is my first time talking about it on forums, i sent well over 20 emails to asus and called them twice and still no luck, they havent help me since then and the only thing that they tell me to ask a professional about it... So is there anyway that i can unlock it, without this stupid support?

Did you get the unlock app from the Asus website? - NP

Nope, no google account, even if i add one its still not working... I also factory reset the tablet, and tried it again with or without google account but still no luck

Have you check the serial number on the Asus site to check the model? I bought a TF701t off ebay and ended up getting a TF700. - NP

it is detected as a t700t but i can't register it but when i get a support email it detects it

(Idk if i should keep my s/n private) I manually entered my tablet in the first screenshot

That's good, try to remove the google account and then unlock it, that worked for me on my TF207 and I unlocked my TF700 before I ever added a google account.
Also any way to take a screen shot or a pic of the error you're getting after running the unlock APK? - NP

This is the error i get (An unknown error occured. This may be because of a network problem. Please try again later.)
I had it for 3 years lul and removing and adding the google account dosen't do anything same error message :/
Do you have Discord or a Instant Messaging app ? It would be easier and a lot faster to talk together SpMorpion#1131

Keep trying, and only use the unlock tool from here, if I don't remember if I was connected to Wi-Fi or not I know that I didn't have a Google account logged into. Are you ruining the unlock APK from the SD card or from the root directory from the tablet's on board memory? - NP

Another thing I was thinking is, what market is you table for, North America, World Wide [WW], ect. This will have a lot to do with the firmware it's running and which unlock APK you need to use. - NP

I'm running it on the board memory, i can't move the app to my sd card if it is wanted...
I think my tablet is for North America, i'm in eu but i got a american charger and in the build version its saying JOP40D.US_epad-10.6.1.14.10-20130801

Only advice is to keep trying, make sure you're logged into your wifi because it wont unlock unless it can "talk" to Asus' servers. - NP

A very long shot: Use a VPN to connect to a US server, then try the unlock tool

Thanks for the .apk, surprised the Vibrant isn't supported even though the Captivate is. Yes you need to have U-Verse service as well as the U300 package or above to take advantage fully of the app (thankfully I am)

Just use it for the DVR management, definitely worth it. You can use the channel guide or search by time and even future dates. Much better than the mobile website. That alone is worth the download.
If you search the actual available content to watch it is all older programming and select channels. This is not a "slingbox" replacement app by any means. All the U300 package will give you with this app is the ability to download and watch certain older programming. Sorry should have clarified my above post.

First, put the apk file on your phones sd card. Go to market and download "appInstaller". Then open appInstaller, find your uverse apk, and click install.

U-Verse on Droid
Hi there. I installed the U-verse mobile app on my Verizon Droid. (Thanks for that!) It seems to work fine until I attempt to download shows to my phone from the 'Show Library.' I get a message saying it can't be done because of system issues. Has anybody else had success downloading shows? Or does my not being on AT&T's actual network prevent me from doing it?
Thanks,
ej
Can't say for sure that it is from not being on AT&T's network but it looks to be that way. I can't download and watch shows on my EVO. I said all along that when they finally did release an Android App it would probably only be compatible with AT&T android phones. the bastards!
Had the same problem. Make sure you are on WiFI and then try it a few times. It will eventually work. Im running original droid as well.
Hmmn
jim, I've tried it with Wi-Fi and 3G, both ways get me this message "Cannot Subscribe. Thank you for your interest. Subscription cannot be completed at this time due to system issues. Please try again later."
This happens when I click Agree to Terms of Service, and the denial message appears instantaneously, as if it's a built in denial that shows before a connection is even attempted.
Maybe there is a setting on my phone I don't know about?
Question:
When I install the app, one of the things it asks for is permission to call phone numbers. I can understand why it asks for other permissions, like changing network connectivity (downloading shows only over wifi).... but I can't figure out what the app does that needs phone call permissions. Does anybody have any insight on this?
Btw, the app works great on my phone. Can't download shows, as I only have U200. For those who have previously posted about not being able to install the app on your phone, the user guide says it works on android 2.1 and higher, for phones on the list. (I didn't see a list, though).
Works on the vibrant after hours of trial and error.not much to download and watch though.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Got it working...
Not sure how though.
I thought I'd be able to watch shows I had recorder to the DVR, but that was hoping for too much I guess.

Greatest App ever! & its free!!!

Androidlost!
Its amazing. it will give you total access to your phone and you can do anything remotely! you just login with your google account from anywhere.
If your phone gets stollen you can control anything. camera, gps, etc... even if sim card is changed
check it out!
Looks great however my concern is the fact that this is done on his web server..
What if it goes down?
What if he just decides to drop it?
What if his site is hacked?
He can technically access this stuff...Not saying he would but it sure seems like a lot of trust to put in someone you'll never know.

Installing this in my GTAB too !
This is one application I can never complain about.
I travelled to India around 4 months back and lost my phone when I was shopping.
I complained to the police and the cybercell about it.
I was so upset becoz I had lot personal info in the phone and ofcourse its an expensive phone too.
Then i went home and started to search the web for something like findmyphone. Then I found this app.
( I had samsungdive installed but it did not give me the location info)
Installed this OTA in my phone and started tracking my phone.
Police was then able to follow my guide and was able to locate the phone.
All this was done free.
Had I not had this app it was garunteed lost.
EDIT : the best thing is that if you have a google account with android market in your phone , u can even install it after you loose ur phone

And yes, you're giving the author of the app potentially full access to all the data on your phone.
Prey is another app that is more restrained but gives you similar features to track the devices, lock it down, erase it etc. It's also free.
Also, Lookout which also has a malware scanner.

I was wondering what if my phone's connections such as wifi, 3G were switched off? I've tested with my phone's wifi switched off, nothing happened. Things will be active only when my phone's connections available. So it's great but kind of nonsense.
What do you think?

assuming who stole/found your phone will not unlink the phone from your google account or just factory resets it... And I guess this would be the firts thing anyone non-honest would do.
i still prefer cerberus, which has a cwm-installable version, making settings, etc persistent across wipes (unless someone flashes a new rom).

Play Store vulnerability.

I recently was thinking about something, I decided to test it out.
On the Play Store app, you can choose to add a pin number, and make this pin be required to make purchases.
This is a good idea, as we don't want anyone charging our credit cards or carrier bills if our device gets lost/stolen.
However, there is a flaw in this. The aforementioned pin number is stored locally on the device, whilst the credit card info is connected to your google account, and obviously your carrier billing options are stored online.
All someone has to do to be able to make purchases on a supposed secure play store is go to Settings>Applications>All>Google Play Store and click clear data. No more pin.

The fix to this would obviously be that google have the pin be connected to your google account, instead of stored locally on the device.

Good find man! Definitely opens up my eyes, as my little brother has a phone with my google account on it, because of all the apps I've bought-en, and I enabled the pin feature on it.
Wow... way to drop the ball on that one google!!!
Yeah. Not sure they've ever thought of it or not.

What?I haven't made any purchases yet, but my friends come to me on some days and they could buy paid apps. This must be fixed soon.
I notice this a lot when I update my ROM. Because it doesn't come packaged with gapps (well it wouldn't, it's illegal to do that), the data gets cleared when you reinstall the play store, thus no more pin. As I update daily, I never have the pin for more than one day, which is a major security flaw IMO

Thanks guys, added that in a comment on the google code page.
Actually, I believe that function is more of a "Child Lock". The screen lock/wipe is supposedly what prevents stolen phones from being used. In most cases, someone that usually knows your password (Of course, adb enabled phones can have their screen lock disabled). That's usually your kids that use your phone for games, watching videos, etc. That's what the pin is for - blocking them from downloading paid stuff without your knowledge. I suppose Google doesn't think that they would be the ones who will be hacking your phone, and of course, not be the ones who steal your phone.
Just added a link to the google support issue page in a few of my newer videos, and in a few of my most popular videos!

[App] DroidID - Unlock your PC/Laptop using fingerprint sensor

Hi everyone,
I recently got a Galaxy S7 edge (wonderful phone!) and it came with a fingerprint reader, and as a developer, it was another feature a developer can build an app around. I became curious and I was looking for some apps that support fingerprint readers, and came across MacID, which is an iPhone/Mac app that allows you to use the TouchID sensor on the iPhone to unlock your Mac. Sadly, there's no Android alternative for it.
So I decided to make DroidID. It's a free Android app using which you can unlock your PC/Laptop using the fingerprint reader on your phone. It makes it very convenient and secure to unlock your device. All you have to do is pair the Android app with the client app, and whenever you want to unlock your PC/Laptop, you just press on the unlock notification and scan your fingerprint and that's it!
Requirements
An Android device running Marshmallow (or above), with a fingerprint reader
Any Mac running El Capitan (or above). Support for Windows coming shortly
You can download the app and the client from my website: www.suyashsrijan.com/droidid
It's my first cross-platform app! If you have any comments or suggestions or anything else, please feel free to leave them below.
I cant wait to try this on PC...i've been waiting for an app just like this...keep up the good work
First of all, great job! it's not perfect yet, but still works very well. Eagerly waiting for Windows compatibility.
I'm just wondering, though, what kind of data gets exchanged over the internet, and where exactly does it go?

Thank you Windows support is on the way, can't guarantee it will work, but I am working on it.

The only data exchanged between the client and the phone app is a command that the phone app sends to the client to tell it to unlock the screen. The password is stored securely in Keychain (encrypted) on your Mac, and your fingerprints are only read from your Android phone using official APIs; the app only verifies that the fingerprints registered on your device matches the one you scanned.
I waited so long for this software, looking forward to the support of Windows.

Thanks alot for the clarification! I'd suggest, if I may, copy/pasting this into the Play Store description and maybe the official project's website too.

I have already mentioned it in the Play store description, and also in the Help section on the app!
Push notification when Mac needs to be unlocked
Great app! What do you think about having the Android app pop up a notification whenever the Mac presents its lock screen? This way it'll be really easy to unlock from the Android lock screen. Thanks again.
Thanks, great App. But how do you send the data to Mac?
It's been half a year. I'm guessing the windows version is now vaporware?
Could not be set up on macOS 10.12 with android 6.0
Is it supported macOS 10.12? When I tried to set up on macOS 10.12 with android 6.0, it simply told me it is ready but nothing happened on my phone. How could I deal with it?
can u try to implement the same thing via bluetooth.....& if this is implemented via bluetooth it will be extremely faster like the apple watch....also the unlock is good....but still few features like your android app can be much advanced...

Not yet, but maybe in the future.
Could you provide a news feed to watch or email alert for the release of a windows version?

Hi, I would suggest downloading the latest version of the Mac app from the website, as I recently fixed this issue. Please remove the old version from your Mac before using the new one!
