My thoughts on the poco f1
I sold my OP 3 for 9k and bought a poco f1 for 16k after offers. Huge upgrade for just 7k.
My opinion on the poco f1:
Cons :
Having to get rid of bloat feels pretty ****ty. It makes the phone feel much less premium than it already is.
The display is good at best. I miss the blacks from my 3.
The radius of the corners is way too high.
The notch is pretty big and prevents NOTIFICATIONS from popping up in the NOTIFICATION BAR...
Multi touch problems with the screen. You can tell that they really compromised here.
Aggressive memory management on miui 9.6
The phone's kinda heavy. Hurts more when it inevitably falls on your face. Especially with a Spigen case.
The theme store's categories and titles are plain hilarious.
Pros:
Cheap af
Durable af
Face unlock is ridiculously good. Ive not seen my lockscreen for days(you can disable this though)
Games are pretty damn smooth
Loud ass speaker.
Great camera with GCAM 6.1
Miui 10 brings loads of improvements and fixes and the developers are actively listening to the community.
Display gets really dim at night. Way better than the op3. I think it does 2.5 nits?
The battery is ****ing amazing. 2 hrs of pubg, a bunch of YouTube, email, Reddit, slides, with Auto brightness, the GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi and mbile data on both Sims on,. I ended up with 12 hrs of SOT. Huge improvement from the 5 I used to get on the OP3
Display with HDR on is pretty impressive.
Plenty or third party Dev support to help every Dev out with his life.
Some MIUI features are great. Lots of settings to scroll through
Headphone jack!!!
i see people speaking about multi touch issues but i have this phone for around 2 months and i've never felt an issue. please tell me what is ur issue with multi touch?
People throw away much more than $300 every month. Not sure what they complaining about with this phone. it's good if you are happy with it period.

Try playing pubg with it. If you're moving with the least side and aiming with the right. The screen spazzes out.

actually i play pubg alot recently, never had this issue. now i'm trying the claw (playing with 4 fingers) and i suck at it but touch accuracy is top. try a multi touch app from the play store and check with it if it doesn't track your fingers correctly as it might be a problem with ur unit.

Yup poco has hdr lcd, you can search for youtube hdr videos, you'll only get hdr options in quality settings if your device has hdr screen. I don't see much difference though tbh.

Poco f1 can reach 480 nits peak brightness and it can play 1080p HDR videos (auto brightness) and to an extent it does the job but don't compare it with true oled based HDR displays which have more than 1000 nits of brightness and more vivid colors
Those complaining about the multi touch issue is when then press q,p and Back button at the very corner. I didn't play PUBG so I am good. Mobile Legends doesn't cause problem for me

Definitely. Their upgrade program is pretty enticing too. Especially after they dropped the 128gb version to 22k it's a really good deal. I recommend it.

Hey guys, I just want to know your experience after using Xiaomi Poco f1 for months.... Are you guys satisfied with your phone or do you guys regret buying it?
And please rate the phone.
Yes, I'm very satisfied with the device, it surely is an upgrade from my Lenovo P2. The device is very responsive. It was the transition to Miui that kept me deciding wether I wanted it. After using Miui for 2 months now.. I definitely recommend a Xiaomi device to all my friends.
Upgraded from Galaxy S5 two months ago. Thought that the screen downgrade would bother me but it really doesn't - it's a decent screen for an LCD (and I love a very low minimal backlight level for night reading, usually for me a most useful feature of an amoled screen). Of course, it's extremely snappy and I find even the camera excellent (gcam is a big help here but even a built in app is decent). While I really like the photos, I don't care much for the video. It's detailed enough, with a good dynamic range and the EIS on 1080p is excellent but it's aggressive 'local' HDR is very apparent. It really looks bad when only a certain part of the image keeps changing in brightness while panning. The video is much better if you don't pan around. I rarely take videos so it's not much of a downside for me and maybe a gcam video has a different HDR algorithm (forgot to try it). I am not a gamer (bought a high-performance phone mostly for future-proofing and to run a Linux desktop on) so haven't really been hit that hard with a often mentioned touch responsiveness (seems perfectly OK to me). I have a custom built widget for always on homescreen notifications that I vastly prefer to tiny notification icons so the lack of the latter doesn't bother me. I actually hate notification icons as I am usually running 4-5 background services with permanent active notifications that eat up all the available space. This way I only get dismissable notifications that are actually notifications.
I can't comment on the cell signal quality as I haven't got out of a city lately and here the signal is decent everywhere. Band coverage shouldn't be a problem in Europe, I think. All in all, I haven't regretted the purchase and don't underestimate the 'smug factor' of owning a phone that's a much smarter purchase than all the fancy branded ones.
My dream came true with this legendary phone.... I used to think that when I will use flagship processor.... But my budget not that much high to purchase flagship mobiles ... But after seeing this mobile with high end processor .. I felt that I too have a legendary mobile in my hands... I don't see any brand before purchase ... Just I saw the snapdragon 845 processor and I bought this phone and I felt happy ... This phone is awesome and Google camera is working like a charm ... And I am using pixel experience ROM ... I love that ROM ....

the camera warps when you try to stabilize a video because no ois, further note all phone cameras suck at low light video. Google camera by far enhances this phones zoom and low light capabilities greatly.
Remember guys this phone is full of compromises
Of course there are better phones with better screens if your expecting a phone with an amazing Samsung display or flashy looks then best to buy a samsung phone. The only positive side the phone is the copper heatsink and 845 processor. The screens display is praised as not complete garbage.
If your a casual phone user it's better to go with a used s8 because this phone is only for pubg
Pros
Xiaomis support of modding is insane even providing warranty when rooting.
Lenovo and Huawei are terrible in comparison you would be lucky to even have 1 custom kernel or rom on those phones.
I was iphone user ever since 3gs, switched from iphone 7 to pocof1 last year and fell in love immediately. First vacation with my wife took maaaany pics, incomparable to her s7 edge or my iphone 7, so much better. Paid 300€ for 128gb version, unbeatable. Countless custom roms, updates coming fast, of course there r better phones, but they cost 700€ or more, so no, thank you, no more "flagships" for me. Been using poco for 4 months now, no regrets not for a second. AND...i dont need a f..... screenprotector or cover or any other protecting sht like before, not scared of getting scratches, and i dont have any yet, still as new. By far the best phone i ever had
Thanks for the replies guys.
S10+ is about €50 more expensive so it's basically in the same league price wise.
I'm currently using Note 8 but I'm sick of Samsung. However, battery life is important and I read that OnePlus 7 Pro doesn't have a good battery life.
I had an s10+ (that I returned) and found battery life to be very similar between the two.
I'm enjoying the 7pro a lot more because I value the notchless screen, performance, and software. That said, the cameras on the s10 are definitely better.
it just depends what you care about more, for me personally camera and wireless charging is a plus for s10 but the notch less display, a bigger display, a fingerprint scanner that works a lot faster, Oxygen OS outweigh the benefits from S10 but I barely ever take any pics and found alternate solutions for wireless charging.
The S10 has a much better camera experience, IP rating(if that matters to you) and Wireless charging.
Oneplus has a better overall software experience. Not saying Samsung is bad because it is not, Samsung has come a long way from touchwiz and oneui is enjoyable. Oneplus's oxygen OS is just very smooth and fast especially with the 90hz screen
Rooting is easy with Oneplus. Not so much on the S10
Updates ate quicker and more frequent on Oneplus devices.
I usually find my sim card in the s10 because of the wireless charging and better camera.
Oneplus has better system software for the most part, S10 is going to beat it in nearly every other category hardware wise. At the same price the s10+ would be hard to pass up and get the Op7
Same price, S10+ for me no questions asked (this is coming from someone who as owned almost every OnePlus device and not had a Samsung since the Note 4). I own both phones and the S10+ is my daily driver, 7 Pro is my backup.
It really depends on what you're looking for in a phone. While the 7 Pro feels a little faster (not much) OneUI on the S10+ offers a lot more options (and is so much better than TouchWiz was). Really the only thing the 7 Pro has over the S10+ is the 90hz screen, screen size, no notch/hole punch, charging speed, and 3.0 memory.

They do on the international variants...
I switched from the S10+ to the OP7 Pro because I was hating the punch hole but to be honest I'm thinking on returning the OP7 Pro.
Choppy scrolling on all browsers I've tried, completely opposite of smooth. S10+ was way smoother. Extremely poor LTE signal on T-Mobile, can't stream anything over 480p. Chin bigger than in advertisements/renders. Can't play any video on anything over 1.5x, have a lot of audio cut offs and too many dropped frames. 90% of my use is web browsing and watching videos at 2x so these are deal breakers for me.
I'm also struggling to give up Always on Display and wireless charging and I prefer S10+ screen's colors and the subtle curves with much less glare I just hate the punch hole so not sure what to do yet.
Performance wise are similar but animations are smoother on OP7 Pro. I could not go back to Note 9 since that one is now too slow for me.

Do they charge extra for that? I only found one that said "HD 24 Hours Pass" and it costs $3 per day.
It may be my area though, when I had my sim on the S10+ it had no problems at all streaming 1080p or even 2k videos at all.
OP7 Pro starts streaming at like 360p and I have to manually change it to at leats 720p but it stops A LOT to buffer.

Lol, sorry I meant the chin.
And no I'm not being throttled to 480p, if I insert the sim on the S10+ I can stream 1080p or 2k without any issues. It might be my area though. I also have the international version of the OP7 Pro and I heard rumors that it didn't have band 71 but I'm not sure.

S10+ beats the OnePlus 7 Pro in nearly every category hardware wise? Hardly. Best screen, OP7P. Fastest UFS storage, OP7P. Best speakers, in my opinion, OP7P. Headphone jack, obviously S10+. Cameras are subjective, especially with pending software updates, but I do believe that Samsung oversaturates their pictures way too much. Build quality is a tossup, as both smartphones are beautiful in their own right. Both feature an SD855 processor. Everything else is a tie.

I have both and it really is swings and roundabouts.
The OP is faster at pretty much everything, I prefer the near stock experience and knowing I'll get Q probably in the autumn vs 2020 on the S10+
I have the ceramic S10 and it probably is a nicer device in the hand and slightly easier to manage, I also miss the always on display and wireless charging. I would imagine the non-ceramic S10+ is even easier to manage on account of being lighter.

Doesn't look like the international one has band 71. Kimovil has a great and easy way to find out bands and coverage support. I use this when I get new phones because I travel to the USA regularly and want a phone that can roam well.

Thanks for the replies all.
The main reason 7 Pro is attractive is that notchless big screen with a 4000mah battery and easy root.
The rest is not so important.
However I think I might just wait and see what happens next year.
Note 8 is still quite powerful. Just that battery life...

The big notchless screen was my main attraction to the OP7 Pro as well but I finally decided today that I'll return it and go back to the S10+. There's just too many little details (bugs and missing things) that add up and make the overall usability worse. The only scenario I've found the OP7 Pro better was when watching videos in the night because I hate the pucnh hole but other than the hole, the screen on the S10+ is better (better more vivid colors, brighter, more subtle curves and waaay less glare, better viewing angles without much color shifting, it's super amoled so glass is glued to screen and looks as if there had not glass at all, while OP7 Pro looks like if you were looking through a window, not sure how to explain it but noticed the same with my ex-Mate 20 Pro when comparing with my ex-Note 9)

Removing the screen protector of my Op7 pro was the fiedt thing I did, I hate screen protectors. It's the calibration, quality (even though both are samsung branded the one of the S10+ is more expensive even though it's smaller because of something) and because AMOLED vs glass separated from display. I don't know what you mean with "all OLEDS are that way, that's how technology is" yeah all of them have color shift and all of them are prone to burn in but color shift is A LOT less noticeable on my S10+ unless I tilt it to extreme unusable angles.
Yes usability is worse, I can get things done easier and faster on the S10+ even though animations are "smoother" and apps load 0.5 seconds faster on OP7 Pro. If I was a samsung fanboy I wouldn't even have bought the OP7 Pro, I just try to buy the best phone in the market for my usage no matter the brand and I truly though this was gonna be the close to perfect phone but they are still cutting a lot of corners. I'll try again with the OP8 Pro.
Please delete. Ain't going to waste my time
I got an Xperia 1 for £500 and a OP7 Pro 12Gb model for £550, I should receive both tomorrow and sell one of them later, just really unsure which one to sell, I know tomorrow I'll have a better perception, but at the moment, I can't make up my mind, why I should keep one over the other, they both have stock Android, Sony's has very fast security updates, almost on point with the Pixel phones, and that 4K screen should be amazing, now the OP7 Pro, has an amazing dev community, no features lost if bootloader is unlocked, like on Sony phones, all screen design (unsure how I feel about this though, not having where to hold can be annoying, had that issue with the Vivo Nex 2), 90Hz display (but my eye can't see the difference, had the Razor Phone 2, which has a 120Hz display and not that big of a difference in my eyes) and bigger battery (again, reviews say that at 90Hz it drains pretty fast). Did not mention cameras or fingerprint sensors, because both seem to be on par, in-display fingerprint are a bit meh, curious to see how good the OP7 Pro is though, because the ones I've tried, still make me miss the old school fingerprint readers on the back and the Sony side mounted fingerprint is also meh.
Considering the prices I got them for, which one would you guys keep and reasons, would really appreciate your opinions on this.
Have a great day everyone.

Regarding 4k - I came to my OP7Pro from my XZ Premium. Sony isn't bad, but it's not as good as OnePlus. I haven't used 4K even once. It was completely useless. Heck, I intentionally forced my OnePlus to stay on FHD. My battery life is beyond 6h SOT. All day battery. It's amazing. Warp charge works, it's real. It's amazing. I don't know what you're talking about with 90hz. I can see the difference. The moment I looked at a high refresh rate screen I saw the fluidity. I'd keep the OP7P, but both options are definitely great. You can't go wrong with either option.
The moment I saw a 90hz screen I decided that I will never again purchase a device with less than 90 Hz (even better with 120hz). So it would be a no brainer for me.

I understand that 4K is only seen in 4K photos/videos, so I agree that it is not a real plus. when I have both in front of me I'll share my experience.

I have had both for over a month, sell the Xperia 1, trust me
I had an Xperia 1 for 5 days before I returned it and got this, I can assure you this is a decision that you will not regret. I have been an Xperia fan boy for the last 6 years since the first Xperia z came out in 2012. Sony have also ruin to find by putting DRM keys on the devices and you will lose major functionality if you unlock the bootloader... With the oneplus all is good with unlocking the bootloader and you can be anything you wish on the phone. although it hurts my heart from the inside Xperia one has got nothing on the oneplus 7 pro the device did not just feel right and was hard to use for me. it appealed to me in the slightest and everything that oneplus 7 pro has overwhelms the Sony Xperia 1.
I don't find it aesthetically pleasing too,Not Sure about this one but they always lacked in Camera Department too
Guys Do Find 60 hz to be more choppy than other 60 hz display or ist it just me? The screen on my iPhone Xs Max seems more fluid & responsive than Op7 Pro when 60 hz is selected
Quick update, I received the OP7 Pro 4 hours ago, the Sony seems to be delayed with DHL, so probably just tomorrow now. OP7 Pro so far seems very nice, the case that comes with it unfortunately peels off the screen protector when it's on, I guess the screen protector that comes pre installed it is not centred, so, on the top right corner, the case is peeling the screen protector, I'm using it without a case now, it's the same size as my Note 9, so not a big issue, the Note 9 does have a better grip though, the OP7 curves more then the Note 9 and that makes it less grippy, if that makes sense. Also tested the app drawer on the Note 9 vs OP7 Pro and I can see the 90Hz now side by side, but I think I can still go back to a 60Hz display, it's not that of a big deal IMO.
I'll do some more testing tonight, maybe some night shots if I have time, between the Note 9 and the OP7 Pro let me know if you want to info in a Note 9 vs OP7 Pro.
Sure Why Not....Can You compare both on 60 hz,The Thing I mentioned above

So setting up the OP7 to 60Hz and comparing to the Note 9, both look the same, iPhones do have higher sensitivity, so it appears smother, but 60Hz on Android seems to be the same on the OP7 Pro and Note 9.

EBay, as typical Sony phones, they drop price very fast, have a look there and you'll see
Typing this on the Xperia 1 and it's so comfortable compared to the OP7 Pro, the slim design is awesome...
I would pick the oneplus 7 pro. But that's just my personal opinion. I have and s10+ and this 7 pro and my sim is in the oneplus 90% of the time, the 90hz screen really is amazing and it is very noticeable when going to a non 90hz phone

Dayium! And I thought Sammy phones depreciated quickly. Nice deal!
I would pick the Xperia and sell me the OnePlus
Nah the OnePlus is the way to go..
Need t get one myself.
I won't go to anything less than 90hz after using the OP7 pro. Simple as that.
Took a photo of my living room with artificial lighting, the colours are more natural on the Sony and quality is about the same on both, keep in mind this is with the stock camera, didn't have time to install GCam, but it's running the latest OOS.

What do you guys think?
Every year I upgrade to the latest S series device. But I end up getting bored and honestly want something different in between. I'm highly considering getting the one plus 7 pro because of the new 90hz 6.7 display . Anyone make the switch from the S10+ and regret it? I used to love the idea of rooting and custom roms so that might be a nice touch to keep me interested in the device. Just wanted some opinions, the note 10+ also has my attention because of ufs3.1 and the slightly tweaked cameras. Price isn't really a factor
I did and haven't looked back...
More freedom and less bloatware
Don't upgrade from S10+, because it's the same processor. Wait until next year to get a phone with a X55 5G modem (better than this year's X50 5G).
Since your asking in the op7pro forum most will say this is the best what ever there reasons. But I've had the device 2 times and bought times got rid of it... 90hz refresh is a gimmick, not realistic... I've own the s10 plus and it does not have that much bloatware and almost everything is uninstallable. I didn't like the one plus design, you can root but meh more problems the stability, cameras have improved since launch but still not up to par, good battery life, sound is decent. The s10 plus had everything you could want and if you get the exynos you can root if you want. (and don't let yourself be fooled by reviews of exynos not being as good as SD it's not true) I've used it and played the same games on both s10 plus and op7pro. My recent op7pro I traded it for a mate 20 pro 8/256 twilight.... All I can say is this is the best phone I have ever used, yes it does have a notch but I have never mind that sound can come out low but there's an app that fixes thatthing else just insane. It haves a 60hz refresh and it feels smoother that any other Android I've had.

I agree 90Hz refresh is a gimmick. People experience a placebo-type effect, I think. The only worthwhile upgrade would come next year when X55 5G modems get used. The S10+ is fantastic, but I didn't buy it because of no bootloader unlock on US Snapdragon variants.
I bit the bullet and ordered one. Yes I realize it had the same basic specs, and I can live with the features I'll be losing. Worse case scenario I keep the S10+ and sell the 7 Pro. I'm praying the display is close to par with the AMOLED screen, and the larger screen size will be a bonus too. I'm expecting the software and the fluentness to impress me. Anyone know if there's a way to disable the volume slider though, not a fan of the physical slider.
90hz a gimmick? WTF? Yeh so are 120hz screens and 4k tv . You must be 1/100000 that can't notice the difference.
90hz IS ABSOLUTELY NOT a gimmick and every other phone to me looks painful after looking at amazing refresh rate of my phone. The 90hz is the real icing on top for this phone which is great in every single way. Great battery life which has been doing nothing but getting better with time due to the phone optimizing itself based on your usage. The screen is big and notch/ hole punch free and the sound is nice and loud while being crisp at the same time. And the camera is not the best but it's not disappointing either. I'm happy with it and I take a decent amount of pictures.

However, should you move from an S10+ to this
I'm not too sure about that. Unless it's an even trade or you throw in like 50 bucks towards it stay where you are.

Just Compare Pes 2019 on high settings on both exynos & sd. You'll know the difference. Regarding 90 hz I can say that after using this Device If I scroll in App Drawer in my Xs Max I can literally see the icons stuttering or dragging.
Screen Doesn't gets as bright but it is comparable to iPhone on natural mode. I would suggest OP if he's using a SD S10 he should stick with it. Also I would suggest to Uninstall the Netflix app pre installed,If You Don't want dark videos

Speed Test G: OnePlus 7 Pro 60Hz vs 90Hz
YouTube · Gary Explains

Apparently, running at 90Hz slightly decreases graphical performance on the OnePlus 7 Pro.
Don't switch from a S10 - you won't notice enough benefit.
Sure, having a screen with no notches or cutouts is nice; and yes, *some* things look better at 90Hz, but it kills your battery quicker, and actually, I don't really mind about scrolling smoothness in Chrome - I'd far rather like the extra refresh in all games (which you DON'T get right now).
Also, you'll loose wireless charging, IP68, and being honest, a bit of build quality. If you're really thinking of leaving the S10, how about going to the Note 10 instead?

As someone who has tried both, there is a huge difference. The S10+ is a laughable phone compared to the OP7Pro. Scrolling looks laggy, apps open slower, worse game performance, worse thermals, Terrible standby drain, Ugly front camera, Slow fingerprint, broken Snapchat camera, etc. The list goes on and on

90hz gimmick. Placebo effect lmaoooo.... 90hz 120hz. Is the future. Processors are already fast enought and are limited by the 60hz hardware. What 90hz does is increase os fluidity(smoothness) by 50%. Now when i loom at my iphone xs max which suppost to be the smoothest phone around. It look jerky stuttery and not smooth.... Not because it is, is because of the 60hz limitation. Is the same that your car is really fast. Can beat most car on a race.... Now u demo a much faster car (50% faster). U will be so impress....that When u go back to ur car. U will feel it so slow.... Not because it is. Is because u demo a much faster car. After a few day of driving ur car u will then again see that ur car is fast. Same with 90hz 120hz

You need to compare apples to apples: the only meaningful comparison is the OnePlus 7 Pro to itself. For example, tell a friend to switch it 60Hz or 90Hz and not tell you which one; then, without checking settings, see if you can guess which is which.

No it doesnt. There app not optimize for 90hz,. Just like benchmarking apps which even if un have 90hz will run the 3d games a 60hz... Now use the mod of forcing 90hz on everything. By the way. I get 9hour sot forcing 90hz all time and 1440p (qhd). I hear people complaining that it drain ur battery. Like if 90hz u will only get 2 hour sot. .. if 9hour sot with 90hz on is not good enough. I really know no what are people expecting

I was unaware that Snapchat had dedicated cameras on either the S10+ *OR* the OnePlus 7 Pro. I stopped bothering to read after that statement!
I didn't like the s10+ and I switched to Op7 pro.
Another planet imho, I really enjoy this phone and I never miss my s10+, cameras too.
Exynos s10+ is garbage imho, really not such a good device as review tell.
OP7 pro beats/pair s10+ in everything in my daily use, and this is my first OnePlus phone...Never going back to Samsung honestly!
Sreen is so better on op7 pro in my opinion, never liked the s10+ screen because of reduced blue light filter.
Oh, and vibration. Dude, really? The vibration on op7 pro is gorgeous...
Warp charge destroy s10+ exynos charge time, and battery is similar but op7 pro doesn't consume so much on standby and when using camera.
My op7 pro never get hot when I'm using it.
Just some random thoughts...
Love this phone!

bruh..i mean i get it, some are fanboys and like their brand, but honestly... 90hz is definately noticable if you dont see it you just wont accept that something beats your loved phone somewhere
and the exynos samsung phones are just not worth the price, the processor is just garbage compared to the sd variants (compared a note 9 with exynos with s9 with sd and s9 was better in nearly every way)
anyway back to the topic:
samsung phones have more, if not all features you want or need, like if you already have a samsung device (watch eg) it makes sense to stay with samsung because it seems to function just better, but if you want a clean smooth experience just grab a op7 pro and feel good
Anyone here coming from the OP 9 Pro?
I'd like to know which screen is easier to read under direct extra-bright sunlight.
And which has louder, fuller sounding speakers?
Anything else you think is interesting to note as a difference.
The screen on the Pixel is comparable to the 9 Pro. It's got a peak of 1500 nits when on auto. I have zero issues seeing it in the sun.
I didn't have a 9 Pro, I had a 9, but the speakers on the 7 Pro are way better. The 9 had basically no bass to speak of and the 7 Pro has a moderate bass response. It travels through the back of the phone and makes it vibrate in your hands a bit which was unnerving for me at first but the quality is definitely excellent as that was a chief complaint I had about my 9.
I'm loving the fact that apps don't just randomly refresh for no reason. I can swipe away from Chrome and do something without worrying about the page refreshing when I come back. RAM management was always really annoying on OOS12 and would often result in me being unable to log into my accounts because I would swipe away to get my 2FA code and the page would reload. Happy to say that I can actually play games on this thing and come back to what I was doing hours later and it's still there.
The camera is way better on the Pixel side if you like the point and shoot idea. The OnePlus is better if you like to tweak things although I think eventually we will get a nice GCam port that adds all that functionality back to the Pixel as well. I have not been disappointed with a single picture I have just randomly snapped with the Pixel whereas the OnePlus I never trusted it to get it right on the first so I took 3 or 4 and checked them out later.
Battery life for me has been better than my 9 but this seems to really vary for people and comes down to how you use the phone. I thought I would miss the rapid charging of the 9 but in reality I only have to charge once every 19-26 hours so it's a moot point and I can get 50% in 30 minutes which will get me through whatever I need to do where I won't have access to a charger easily.
EDIT: Actually, from looking up display tests, the Pixel should be much better than the 9 Pro. Without auto brightness the 9 Pro maxed at 500 nits. The Pixel achieves 1000 nits full scene brightness without auto.

FYI, fully functional GCAM is already there since the phone came out. Check the Gcam from BSG, there is even a "dedicated" group for the Pixel 7 series and Gcam including a few people who made config and lib. Of course, Gcam already performs FAR better than the stock Google camera.
Also, I got the 9 Pro too, and the camera doesn't even come close to Pixel 7 Pro's.

I may have to look into this. It seems like Google made the camera even less functional than it was on the 3 XL from the settings department. I've been happy with the output but sometimes I would like more control.
I have both coming from 9 pro. You can definitely see the pixel 7 pro screen in sunlight. The nine pro also is pretty good. Couple thing to note that stands out to me, the pixel screen feels/appears a little bigger to me, I believe mainly due to screen curve with the 9 pro having much more curve. The one thing that surprised me was the pixel screen being rated #1 Android screen on DXO_Mark, since the screen does look nice, but I think as far as colors, etc, the nine pro has pixel beat with ability to produce, I believe, 1 billion colors, and the pixel like 17 million. I still prefer the pixel though for the record, since the 9 pro and Color Os saga when Android 12 came out. Also the pixel camera obviously is pretty hard to beat for double click power button, point and shoot. The pixel has been pretty nice except for the charging speed.

The Pixel supports HDR10 which means it supports 1.07 billion colors as well. SDR is limited to 16.7 million but HDR is not.

To point out the statement regarding "saturation" on OP9 Pro compared to Pixel 7 Pro. Keep in mind that "higher" saturation doesn't equal "better". Pixel 7 Pro is above OP9 Pro in terms of display for various reasons, one of them and one of the most important one is the color accuracy. If you need saturation, you can always use a third-party app to boost it. Same as it was done on OP9 Pro through the "Wide-Gamut" display setting.

Thanks for pointing this out, that makes sense now, and I was wondering about this. Overall I've been pretty happy w/ the pixel and I have increased the saturation.
I would say the Pixel 7 Pro is a far better phone in every way. The only thing I am missing is the silent, vibrate physical button. I get 5G pretty much everywhere. Pixlel 7 Pro gets 5G in places my OnePlus 9 pro couldn't. Im back on Nova Launcher after 3 Oneplus phones I didn't really need. Pixel needs it to remove Google search bar.

Easily the Pixel 7 Pro is easier to read
I have both and frequently switch between the two.... Gaming is better on the 9pro obviously... The fit in hand is better on the 9pro and this is a big deal to me... I also like the build better as the screen doesn't feel so hollow... Speakers edge out to the 9pro... Standby drain edge out to the 9pro as well... I shoot RAW when I can, so the camera isnt that big of a factor for me but the 7pro is great for dim, quick shots...
There are some differences with smoothness including this website on Firefox... The 9pro is consistently smoother... It gets choppy more often with the 7pro...
The 9pro also stays cooler ... Dunno what this really means though, maybe it's just better at "hiding" the heat whereas the 7pro let's the heat expand out...
These differences are very close... The 9pro just got OS13 and seems much better than 12...
If I were to pick between the 2, I'd stick with my 9pro because of fit in hand AND the super fast charging... Too convenient...

I went from OP 8T + and decided against the 10 Pro in favor of the Pixel 7 Pro. It's a great phone designed around real world performance ignoring benchmark performance. It's like the only phone that runs 2 main cores with a 2+2+4 setup when all other phones run 1 big core. Screen is excellent, especially brightness

I've found 8.6V10 Gcam, but havent found any great configs for it. What is the link to the dedicated group?

I understand, I've been a OnePlus fan since their creation. The concept behind the company was a true flagship killer concept. Sadly by the time the 9's hit they went down the drain. I'm really happy with my Google Pixel 7 Pro, but the slow charging is a bummer
OnePlus software was ahead of its time.
But the hardware was behind the times (IMO) until the 9 Pro.
But that was the same time they went out of date with software.
I used to have the 9 pro, but I sold it. Its battery was horrifyingly bad (maybe the device was faulty). The vibration was weak and the speakers were OKish (no bass and depth just loudness).
As someone mentioned above, I can confirm that the camera was hit or miss with heavy colour saturation.
Furthermore, I liked more the curved screen of the Oneplus, the front camera placement and the extremely fast battery charging. Also, I was getting better cellular reception on the Oneplus 9 pro, maybe due to its modem and support of 5g in my country.
So far I'm enjoying almost every aspect of the Pixel 7 Pro. For the initial price bundled with the pixel watch, I think it was the best deal currently available for new premium android.

A 9 might've been a better choice from the start then a 10 since it was before their whole "pay to unbrick" nonsense. But i guess oneplus helped me find a good phone in a way by being the first ever one i returned. I feel a llittle dumb getting something soo expensive when i could get comparible preformance for 300 dollars instead of oneplus's laughable 700 or 800 dollars
I bought Pixel 7 pro today. Im reverting back to my OP9. I couldn´t find a way to pass safetynet on
GP7. I have full root and passing on my OP9 A13.
i will return the Pixel tomorrow, sadly.

I never knew you could even pass it without usnf. Aren't all 0hones nowadays hardware verified or whatever? I don't even care if i pass personally since i use websites for banking and avoid gpay because it failed me. One too many times (unrooted)
