Hello,
I had recently bought a Nexus 5 Model LG-D821 of 32gb storage. It was all ok but suddenly got switch off and reboot itself .Then I see welcome screen, select wifi, etc and finally it shows home screen.I got the pop up message notifying "camera has stopped" "gallery has stopped" etc. Then i checked into setting under storage there i see all mine data was erased.I had "32 Gb" of storage now i see total space of "128mb".There was only 5mb available storage.Further, there was unknown baseband version, unknow IMEI and unavailable Network.I take out the sim and inserted again but it doesnt worked. My Nexus 5 is unrooted, locked(bootloader version-HHZ11K) with a Build Number KTU84P currently running android 4.4.4 fully stock. Yeah, you can try reflashing stock and what not.... But if you just bought it... I'd get it replaced instead.

Try relocking your bootloader with fastboot oem lock, them reboot the bootloader. If it stays locked, then try LG Flashtool. If it reverts to being unlocked after the reboot then your eMMC is damaged and you'll have to RMA.
Well, my Nexus 5 had a similar problem, but mine was unable to mount /persist.
So all thanks to this, my Nexus 5 was saved. You might want to try this if that doesn't work.

and in fastboot trying to flash userdata (or anything)--> "FAILED (remote: failed to erase partition)".
The phone works only in fastboot or recovery, also with otg.
I think that OPO needs a script to recreate the partition in storage (?)
This is way over my head, you should wait for timmaaa to respond

If i try to flash something on fastboot it says --> "FAILED (remote: failed to erase partition)".
hi,
i already have 2 opos with this issue, one which is my own and one i ordered for a friend. the phone just rebooted itself at some point and was stuck in a bootloop. access to recovery and fastboot work, but recovery cant mount /system, /data, /persist, and /firmware. formatting doesnt help, flashing factory images gets stuck when flashing either system.img or userdata.img,
the first phone is already shipped out for rma and the second one will soon be shipped out.
maybe there is a problem with the memory chips themselves?

[Completed] Myphone Uno E:failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)

Please help me. I am trying my best but I cant do this anymore.
In the past my phone was always updating. I don;t know how it happened. But it started when I updated my android. I just saw that my device was taking too long to boot. I was on the four concentric circles logo of android 6. I used it for quiet a time. Then it ended up to bootloop. That time I don't know that I need to wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache/ wipe cache partition. I search this on youtube after experiencing the error bellow.
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_install
E: Can't mount /cache (Invalid argument)
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: failed to mount /cache/recovery/last_log
-and then all of the lines just jumbled again
same as the one on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/help-nexus-5-bricked-clearing-cache-t2564509
I tried to follow the advice by typing the code "fastboot flash cache cache.img"
unfortunantely I was not able to find any cache.img that is suitable for my Android. I am running on 6.0.1 MMB29Q.
I was looking for any sprout 4 stock rom here for my uno but i can't find anything. I even tried to fastboot flash another rom but it failed. I also tried to flash using an sd card but its not working.
when I am trying to adb sideload on the other hand, it would only take about a minute or two then it would go back to bootloader mode.
PLEASE HELP ME REGARDING THIS MATTER. PLEASE POST LINKS where i can find cache.img for android 6.0.1 MMB29Q. for MYPHONE UNO If ever there were other solutions please post. I really need your help guys.

TWRP Internal Memory 0MB - Samsung S7 Oreo 8.0 ( SM-G930FD)

Hi All,
I am trying to root Samsung S7 Oreo 8.0 with TWRP & Magisk. But, when ever I log into TWRP it's saying "Inernal Memory 0MB)
I've followed below steps :
Installed TWRP and no-verity-opt-encrypt zip, it worked until I reboot to system
After reboot again the internal memory showing as 0MB (may be re-encrypted)
Is there any way that I can remove the encryption permanently?

Thank you.. Am not exactly looking for unencrypted partition. Am just confused whether it's expected to format data and no variety everytime or is it just one time for root?
Also I gone through the threads to find fix for this issue. But most of the people are suggesting to format data.
Any other better ways? Can we take backup of existing ROM from TWRP without root?

i am using a stock firmware by telekom, it installs some features after first flash and first reboot (maybe ur firmware does not need step 3, so my second reboot is ur first reboot into download mode)
1. flash stock firmware
2. first reboot
3. install for provider reasons and then
4. second reboot (important: into download mode)
5. flash twrp
6. third reboot (important: into twrp)
7. flash zip-file (attached to this post)
8. reboot and wait....
now u should have an unencrypted system. the only thing is, u need to repeat these steps on firmware updates.
