{CSC}{India} VoLTE fix for S9 Plus G965N Model in India - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hey,
If anyone is looking to use their Indian SIM ( Jio or any other ) , but are unable to use it due to limitations from software, this thread is for them.
This is specifically for G965N model (tested working) but may work on other devices as well.
What is needed?
1. Root access ( Anyways no warranty in India, why not root )
2. Root Explorer / ES File Explorer
Pretty much it...
Whats included ?
1. VoLTE and VoLTE calling and messaging
2. Call Waiting and call merging options
3. Little here and there tweaks which may be useful
Steps to do :
1. Root your device in case its not rooted
2. Install ES File Explorer / Root Explorer
3. Go to /odm/omc/single
4. Delete the folder KOO and place the folder from the zip file there
5. Reboot your device
6. Enjoy all the VoLTE features and you can happily send SMS without getting a warning message even.
7. Record call feature is still enabled on the call screen as it is previously.
If you like this hit thanks...
Report any errors if any.. ( there arent any as of now )

Works for other devices also
This may work for other S9+ devices also.
Similarly for S9.
Please try and report as you can easily revert back to your original CSC if you did not delete the folder.

Hi,
Im sorry for the late reply. I was busy with the pie beta update.
As for your problem,
I found a solution. Please dont worry.
I'm sharing the omc folder totally edited. Please save your original omc folder somewhere safe and use this.
Signal is as before in my experience. Tested with Signal strength app.

Please try the omc file uploaded today. It may not work on pie update. But it will work with the normal version.
Save your omc folder somewhere safe and place this folder there. Then reboot your phone and wait for a min.
Its working for me. So I guess it will work for you also.

Almost all ROMS work properly with Indian version ( except the awesome stock camera and VOLTE ofcourse ).
* Don't tag the whole thread. It's easier to keep some part of it ( 2-3 lines) and remove the rest.

hii is there any fix for "VOLTE" on custom roms of s9+ G965F international model.
i tried
LineageOS 18.1
HAvoc os all versions.
Pixel Experience.
All roms have same problem no VOLTE and Auto Brightness not enabling.
Please help if you can get any solution.

Chinese Variant OnePlus

Hi Team,
Coming from a Nexus 4 . I am about to buy the Oneplus ( chinese Variant ) preloaded with CM11s . Reason for buying this variant is that the international version is no where to be found in the country. Before picking up the phone i have a few question
1-) Besides the OS are there any other hardware level changes in amongst the two variants ?
2-) Will the preloaded CM11 get OTAs ?
3-) Will i be able to flash the custom roms which are for the international version on the chinese variant ? ( this is a big concern )
4-) How would you rate the phone overall out of 10 ( just for fun )
This has been asked a few time already but here goes:
1.) Besides the "Cyanogenmod" branding on the back of the device and a slight variation of supported LTE bands there are NO hardware differences.
2.) There is no reason it shouldn't,mine did, came with CM11s installed on a Chinese variant, and had an OTA update as soon as i turned it on.
3.) YES absolutely
4.) 9.0 - 9.5 IMO
PS: Depending on where you reside you might just wanna look into the LTE bands situation to ensure the device will work with your carrier.
Hope that help.

Any ROM to get VoLTE, WiFi-calling ?

Not sure if a question about ROMs is appropriate in this sub-forum, if not, hopefully a friendly moderator will move to aa questions sub-forum.
Happy with Mate 9 Pro except that there is no US ROM for it, so mine has Taiwan (C636). Therefore i do not get VoLTE or WiFi calling on my T-Mobile.
I did check a long time ago that VoLTE is seemingly simply enabled through XML config files different across different regions of the firmware, so it should be easy to create a ROM where those XML files would try to enable VoLTE for the US carrriers. Not sure if this is all thats missing though. But maybe someone has tried. Even better, someone has tried and succeeded in building a ROM that has those XML fixes.

Disregard this comment.
I accidentally got VoWi-Fi, rebranded l09 to l29c636 and then installled latest firmware from the firmware finder for huawei app( 8.0.0.362),
when booted it said my network was '3 Wi-fi calling' And it worked. delighted because i had been using a seperate app for this service but since deleted it.
I got it with my upgrade to Android 8. Device: MHA-L29C567

I'm on SafeLink - the Obama phone plan, AT&T Network.
And yes, I got it when I was working. Would love to get back to work and love to get a 10" Octa-Core phablet as my primary phone, and a Mate 10 or a smaller Huawei as my 'pocket' device. Sadly, entering my elder years also means entering dire medical problem years. Perhaps next Christmas I will be able to do something different and get back into the new tech.
Get volte in mate 9
Rebranded to l29c900 and now VOLTE is working for me in my mate 9..

Volte option gone after upgrade to android 8.0oreo which was released in india 2 days

After upgrading my v20 to oreo i am unable to get volte option in my phone ,which we used to get after scrolling down the notification bar .are any of u guys facing similar issue after the upgrade.as a result i am unable to use reliance jio!! Plz tell me if u found a fix for this issue
Hello,
I'm also using Jio-India and seems like I'm getting "VoLTE" next to my network icons
Can you check Settings > Mobile Network > Jio > Network mode > Preferred network mode : "GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto"
Thanks
Somebody else also showed VoLTE working
Ya i ha e checked my settings, they are as you mentioned!
I don't know what to do cause the volte option is gone ,i can't find it anywhere.
They have removed the volte tile from quick settings. But volte works.
If still not getting volte dial *#546368#*990# and go to Field Test ->GPRI ->VoLTE/VoWiFi ->UX. Enable display_hdvoice_icon enabled there. Also in IMS menu enable VoLTE and ViLTE.
Thanks i enabled volte in ux as well as ims still i cant see volte symbol near my network bar noe i am getting the volte option in network setting

Whether or not you see the VoLTE symbol is Jio working normally otherwise ?
I can't call via my jio sim ,cause there is no volte option .although the internet is working i have to install jio apps for calls and messages.(which is really sad to do for volte enabled phone)
Why is it that only some of the V20 users are affected and others aren't? Is it because of a setting-Karma from the previous OS life? Can someone enlighten with the real technical reason behind the issue. Being on Jio network sans VoLTE is a disaster, without calls or SMS. You're more like using a PDA afterall.
Jio4GVoice isn't a best bet, but it's the only choice left. Lost VoLTE and tried all found tweaks including the hidden menu UX/IMS modes. Rolling back to Nougat and flashing ROMs are a pain in the a** with fewer hopes of getting it right than what it is now. If someone already found a solution to this issue, kindly post it.
PS: Taking it to the service centre to flash it back to 7 is not much of a solution, IMHO.

Maybe tweet LG, they're the ones who caused the problem ? a further update might be in order
Otherwise a trip to the service centre might be necessary

Yes you can!
1.)Use Dirty Santa Again so you can get TWRP again going and update it to the latest available version.
2.)Download a Flashable Android Oreo Rom from the Rom and Kernels Section download Latest mk 2000 kernel for oreo....
3.)You know the flashing process
Good Luck if you dont understand something just tell me
QSM (Quick Shortcut Maker) App might tweak you back to VoLTE
This suggestion that was found in Reddit brought back the lost (disabled) VoLTE feature on my phone. Download the QuickShortcutMaker app from PlayStore.
"You can download the QuickShortcutMaker app from the Play Store.
In the QSM app, search for 'Advanced Calling'. Press the down arrow next to 'Settings' in the list. Mine had 2 options. The first is 'AdvancedCalling' and other is 'AdvancedCallingSwitch'.
Choose one, and click 'Try it'."
Unsure if Forum rules prevent posting an external link, and hence, avoiding it. The above quoted text is by the reddit OP.

Can I flash global P40Pro+ with Chinese firmware (ELS-N39 -> ELS-AN10) ?

The reason for this question would be to have call recorder working. Reportedly feature exists on Chinese firmware but doesn't exist on UK/EU/Global one ...
1) Would it work using Huawei Hi Suite proxy ?
2) Would finally call recording work with this change ?
Alternatively,
3) Can I extract HwCallRecorder from Chinese ROM and "adb install ...." it into global one ??
Thanks experts

I said about his idea to flash chinese fw to global version not an apk , anyway installing APK wont do anything.

Question No Call Recoding Option In Sm-s908u1

is there any way to enable native call recoding option in my samsung s22 ultra us version model no. s908u1. thanx in advance
Boy would I like to know, too. Coming from an internation S20+ and only bought this phone because I though CSC mod would work. Seems S908U1 is left out from what I can tell so far. Nonsense when it's legal in so many states.

Does the recording feature work on a U.S S22 Ultra (U1 or U device)?
Hello my dear Samsung friends. Today I present to you :
The solution to activate native Samsung call recording option in your stock caller app is here!
Make sure phone is rooted
Check on your phone if you got this file:
Bash:
/optics/configs/carriers/single/*YOUR_REGION*/conf/cscfeature.xml
Make a backup of the original cscfeature.xml file just in case
It is encrypted by default so you must first decrypt it with OmcTextDecoder
Then simply add this line:
Bash:
<CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>RecordingAllowed</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>
Now save and encrypt the file again
And copy it back to where you found it
Enjoy native Samsung call recording option on your next-gen Samsung device!

Does this work only for rooted devices? Looks like it might not apply to this thread because the question pertains only to U.S based devices which unfortunately can't be rooted at this time.

What do you mean can't be rooted? You cannot unlock the bootloader or what
You're joking right? Maybe try Xiaomi next time and you won't have such issues
@dj24 You know you can always use a kernel vulnerability to gain temporary root privileges on a locked bootloader. Have you tried the recently released dirtypipe yet? Good luck!

Can we use dirtypipe to achieve temp root and follow your csc instructions?
If yes - then another question for dirtypipe.
Does it trip the knox flag / counter at all - I really do not want to root or change the knox counter and loose warranty.
