Tasks Together on Google Play
Tasks Together apk
Change way you tackle task management on the mobile device.
Task Together has been designed from the ground up to help you not only with your own personal to-do lists,
but to share and solve tasks with your friends or colleagues.
Here are a few examples where other task management applications struggle,
but these scenarios are a breeze with Task Together:
- Working on project plan of your group has never been easier.
- Sharing a shopping list with your spouse.
- Relaying a call to your secretary or colleague.
- Get notified about a task at a specific location, relevant to the task.
Feedback
Any suggestions/feedback on this task management app? I would appreciate every comment. Thanks.
Cool app, good solution to a widely known problem. Will test this further.
I will however say another thing. Check out http://asana.com
Fine App, similar to SplenDO, but not so pretty
Is there any option to sync?

Disagree, this is much prettier!
You can sync your private task lists with Google Tasks (from settings). But when you send task to someone, theres no way to sync it for now.
I just installed the app, looks nice, with clean interface, which I like more than those complicated apps.
I have few comments that I'd like to see in future updates:
1- The apps misses an option for recurring tasks, sometimes I want to do the same task same time every week or month, like paying a bill or watch a TV show, etc... so it would be great if you add this option.
2- It would be great if you have more advanced reminder option, currently it just gives a notification with the default system tone, which can be easily missed. it might be better if we can assign a different tone so that when I hear it, I notice that this is the reminder for a task from your app. you might also add an alert window with some options like dismiss or remind later after 10 mins or so.
These 2 requests will make your app much better in my opinion. and I can say they are very basic, so if you want to make some Plus or Pro version these should be in the free versions, and other options can follow for the Plus one, like syncing, etc...
Good luck and thanks for the nice app

1. Recurring tasks are on my task list. They should be in upcoming updates.
2. Good point with the custom ring tone. I'll try to implement it. Now there are action buttons in notification, where you can "snooze" the task for defined amount of time (settings). If you star the task and set due date, then no notification is shown but fullscreen alarm is displayed from where you can take action - you'll never miss that! You can try
Once again thanks for useful comments.

SplenDO doesn't have sharing tasks with friends, because it is task list for personal use only and in this case it is the best and most useful.
BTW, Still, one of the task option in SplenDO is "Share" in androidial meaning
Very nice application!
I think I found a bug though! When I try setting the location of the task on "walking"the app crashes! l have the version downloaded here on your post and I'm using a Note 10.1 on stock Touchwiz Rom android 4.1.2

I tried and yes the full screen reminder is awesome .. but there is no clue for the user that it's there for the favorite tasks, I missed it .. also I dont know why you chose to make it silent with vibration. it should have sound with the custom ringtone I mentioned before.
good work though

I'm looking forward to trying this out.
When you get around to the reoccuring tasks, can you make that rather customizable?
The typical entries are:
Year/Month/Week/Day
If you could set the number, such as ever 10 days or 3 weeks, would make it able to handle a bunch of odd tasks.

Google Tasks Sync
I installed the app and told it to sync with my Google account. It did the whole permissions and syncing thing, but then it only pulled two of my four task lists and they are both blank in the app even though they each have more than 20 tasks in them. It's been a few hours now and all of my other Google things have been syncing properly. Any ideas?

It seems that our app exceeded limit for Google Tasks API queries per day. So all sync requests will fail. We sent request for increasing the limit. I hope this issue will be solved soon.
With a heavy heart i have to keep my SEx1 aside and have entered to Android Ecosystem.
I'm a customized freak & made my X1 ROM super stable with my super minimalistic custom rom's, im still going to use that as my primary portable music gear, but for rest of the things Google Nexus 5 is the new companion.
Kitkat is whole new world for me, used gingerbread a a little bit but both are poles apart. hence need some suggestion to keep myself educated with latest trends and tech. Please ignore my noobe-tagged question. So here i start:
No Lollipop ? ?
As broadcasted nexus devices should be the first one to get Android 5.0, Lollipop.
Im yet to get any update & currently running 4.4.4. Any words on when could i expect Lollipop upgrade in my device.
[I don't want to root/ flash until my device is out of warranty].
Contact Backup & Google sync:
a) When starting the device for first time, it prompted me to use google account credential, i did, and it dumped all thousands of my gmail contact in phonebook. Too bad. i have manually deleted all of them from phonebook. and switched-off auto sync.
b) it refused to sync my contact form X1, which was back uped in outlook under win7. Found an alternative, transfered all my contact via bluetooth to nexus 5 and imported them one-by-one. Again when importing in batches, it gives error, which is kind of helpful for me. I only imported selected contact and not the obsolete 8 yrs old contacts
Now the question: How my Sync my contacts without downloading email-contact from gmail. Another gmail account doesn't seems to be ideal as i use email, calendar, drive from this mail. Please suggest.
Customization:
a) I like to keep my phone at minimals. used mycolorscreen- Themer for few days, which let me customize to what i want till great extent. but its getting corrupt by it own at random times, spoiling my widgets location & functionalities and sometime replacing wallpaper with "black" and have uninstalled it now.
Do we have anything similar to HTC / touchflow full screen animated weather for android? roa any alternative to themer which let me customize N5?
b) Lockscreen customization like changing the background according to themer wallpaper and add few information like battery level, weather, etc. I goggled DashClock please let me know what you guys think about it or any other recommendation.
Few App recommendation
Fitness tracker : currently using Pedometer by j4velin, which is good, but it doesn't give me much control, no difference in distance covered if you running or walking, no actual track of distance covered as it derived from the stride length we enter in the setting. Any recommendation in this please ? should i try Google fit app ?
Pulse Light Controller N5 seriously missing "things" in this department, apart from default white glow of unleaded sms, i never noticed any other indication. they should have provided a notification for low-battery and missed call. Currently using Light Flow but i hate its presence always in my notification area. what's XDA's thoughts in this please? I dont need anything with bells and whistles, just a minimal app which show me red light when my battery is low & some other-then-white-color from unreaded SMS & missed calls.
Vibrate on call connect Got ExDailer but im clueless how to make it the default dialer. Also i liked the stock dialer is there any way to make it vibrate when a call connects, i have to install 3rd party app on my phone
Cache cleaner
as im playing installing, uninstalling lots of stuffs these in these experimenal days what would be a recommended app for this, if its mandatory. have used this bloatware Clean Master in my X10i earlier which killed the phone in multiple ways. any other recommendation please, i just want to clean junk files and do not want any antivirus and gold plating.
Thanks in advance.

OTAs are a rollout. They don't give it to everyone at the same time.
You can sideload the OTA instead of waiting, and you don't have to unlock the bootloader for that.
There is also no point in "keeping warranty" since the only way to tell is if you have bootloader unlocked/or tamper flag is left triggered. Bootloader is easily re-locked and the tamper flag isn't that big of a deal to reset unlike on many other devices (you can do it with apps lol..). There is no other way to tell unless you blatantly have modified software. Of course, if the device was defective to the point where it doesn't boot up, then the bootloader/tamper flag/any sort of software doesn't even matter anyways. Also, if you bought from the Play Store, Google will even let you send it in with a custom ROM and kernel if you wanted to.

Mass delete your obsolete contacts from gmail: https://www.google.com/contacts/ then sync them afterwards.

I don't use fitness trackers so I can't say anything about them. The Nexus 5 has a hardware pedometer rather than using sensors like accelerometer/gps/etc to determine steps, which saves a LOT of battery but obviously can't determine distance.
There are a multilude of LED apps.
Cache cleaners are useless since you can wipe cache in recovery anyways, including stock recovery. If you mean for cleaning in general, I don't use anything myself as I don't find it any necessary, but some others do.

Are far as this is concerned, there really isn't any big thing with the Nexus 5 that would not be applicable to other phones. Just read around the forums to see if anything piques your interest.
Thanks for the reply.
I will wait some more time for official OTA update, in the meantime exploring the device. once i done i will do a factory reset anyways
contact things is easier to manage in Gmail interface, thanks for pointing out. Took hours to clean all the contact, but feel good after housecleaning
I saw it mentioned that reminders could only be set for up to 24 hours in the future, giving a date and time didn't work. I tried setting one a week into the future by specifying the date and time, and as others noted, the feedback in the display showed it set for "tomorrow" at the stated time.
However, the audible feedback from the watch told me it had set the reminder for the date and time, and when I went and reviewed reminders, it showed it as set for that date -- not "tomorrow". Also, the reminder did not fire the next day at that time. I can't confirm yet that it will fire tomorrow (the date I set it for yesterday), but I'm very optimistic that it will. I'll report back.
So, you CAN say, "Hi Gear.... remind me to take out the garbage on February first, 8 am" and it will do exactly what we've wanted it to.
My biggest complaint vis a vis Android Wear vs. Samsung Gear was the lack of this feature. Now, my biggest deficit complaint is Google Maps and the much more intelligent and useful, "OK Google" for getting information. However, those are far less of an issue than the reminder thing. With this improvement (and there were several others in the new release that I think boosted the Gear line in utility and ease of use a lot), I'm back to recommending the S2 over Android Wear to my friends.
I stopped using Samsung's Reminder app when I learned about My Task app. It has more functionality and syncs across all my devices.

Do you mean the app, "My Tasks in Gear" by Dimitrios Tzimos?
If so, that't not a solution to me, as it doesn't have hands-free voice input.
Samsung did the extra work to integrate the reminders app with S-voice, so reminders can be set directly by getting the watches attention ("Hi gear"), then simply speaking the reminder ("Reminder me to buy milk at 5 pm"). This is EXACTLY the same process -- brief set of steps -- used on Android Wear with "OK Google" to set a reminder.
For me, it's that hands-free, brief process for setting reminders that is the true value. For example, I use this feature all the time driving.
If there's a different Tasks app for the S2 that supports voice entry, and also triggers the reminder alarm on the watch (one of the customer feedback postings also said My Tasks in Gear didn't fire on the watch, but only the companion phone, although I'm guessing this user didn't enable notifications from the phone companion app), I'm interested.
Yep, that's the app. Sync works from watch to phone, but there is no voice activation.
I hope Samsung is able to get developers to create more apps...
ummm
Not being able to set the date on this app is utter garbage. I think I discover a new reason to hate my Gear S3 on a daily basis. It's as stupid as a bag of bricks
So let me see if I understand this - Is there a way to set reminders from the S2 wifi watch using voice or not? If so what is it because I had that on my Pebble and its a BIG deal for me.

Hi guys,
This may be a set of obvious questions but not for me. I need a device that would keep my phone unlocked when it’s around and run some basic features without LTE installed on the device. After watching some reviews I got perplexed so I think asking may be the best choice. My needs are as follows:
- controlling Google Play Music on my phone, streaming to my headphones (I believe it works),
- reply to FB Messenger notifications (in Classic version of the gear, so only via Bluetooth),
- read and reply to Textra and Telegram messages.
- use Google Calendar, not Samsung one.
I have searched for these but the information is misleading. Sorry for asking maybe obvious questions.

Many thanks for your answer. That’s fantastic. I’ve seen mixed info on the internet, probably referring to various firmwares tho. Like “you need to start music on yer phone first” or “only the built in sms client works so ya need to switch back to it” (from Textra, c’mon! Pffff...).

Would be happy to know it as well.
I previously used pebble Time Steel, which was perfect for my purposes. I could read the messages, which in my case are 95% FB Messenger one’s, and quick :good: or reply to them. I could control music on my S7 (yet, if memory serves, I needed to start playback on my phone first). And I could see a plethora of notifications on it. But Fitbit decided to buy and kill Pebble so I sold it. I purchased Huawei Watch but Android Wear is silly for me. Sold it, thought I will never go back to smartwatches again but this little gem, I want to give it a try. My requirements are not big, but they are detailed (e.g. I don’t use Spotify as it lacks “play next” feature which I use a lot, there is only add to queue, and for some more details).
Oh, probably one last question: is the night mode independent from the one on the phone? E.g. can I use the watch for vibrating notifications after my phone goes DND?

I have my phone on DND all day while i am at work and my S3 vibrates for notifications. I just tested telegram and replying works on there. I usually don't have telegram on because it would be going off all day. FB messenger i can't really test because i never use it, but I've turned notifications on so we'll see what happens.
First let me say this is a very fine piece of Hardware and I have been researching it these last few days and got nowhere, yes I see the demo's and reviews and it's all great but...………………………… and it is a big but
and please correct me if I am wrong and take it as a question more than a statement
- I cannot get access to view the available apps unless I have a Samsung phone - which I don't
- I have done numerous searches to find what I want and come up with near enough nothing
Currently I have a Smartwatch with a single watchface that is giving me all this when I look at it
Time Day and date at my location
Time at another location
Watch Batt Status
Phone Batt Status
Weather today temp hi/lo with pic
Currency conversion of my choosing (set on phone) realtime
It shows me all messages from all my messaging apps on my phone with the text, sms, line, FBmessenger WhatsApp etc.
Incoming calls with contact details or number etc
I can set my phone on the other side of the room and fully control my music player (poweramp) with album art etc, my music is stored as mp3 on the phone so is there even a music player app for the Gear S3 that can access the music on my phone and play it controlling the phone and playing from the phone ?
I really would like to buy this watch but can it do all that, can it even do all that with separate apps if want to scroll through to get there for stuff like currency and media control (Sony Phone)
can someone please confirm
Yes I get that I am not going to get a watch face that will show me what my current one does but is it even possible using apps widgets downloaded to the phone and/or watch to at least give me the functionality I have now
And I stress I am not being critical of the Gear S3 because I really like it and I want one provided it can tick all the boxes

yes I agree, I've been doing a lot of reading up these last few days and the Samsung Gear S3 is the best watch on the market but it fails miserably because they opted to break from Android OS (Wear), I think they were trying to become Brand Specific like Apple but that is never going to work on Android - very foolish
I have narrowed my choices down to 3, Ticwatch Pro, LG and Fossil, Ticwatch is slightly in the lead, but I have decided that it must be Android OS, just a pity Samsung S3 went a different direction, I am not going to buy a watch that only functions for 50% of what I want no matter how good the Hardware is, to me it is a fail and wouldn't take it at half the price

I think the Gear S3 is the best watch at this time.
Wear watch are really horrible. Very bad battery life (sometime not last the day), a lot of bug and hang, often the watch take long seconds to respond (when it works, often not works but do not know why ???) ..... apps are very rare do not mistake I have G-Watch, R-Watch, LG-Sport, Sony SW3, Asus ZW2, Ticwatch E) all are almost unusables. You must install app (and often faces) with the phone AND AFTER use the watch (with tiny screen) to go on Playstore WITH the watch (when it works).
With Tizen you have the "Watchmaker" app (same as Wear OS) and you can have advanced watch face. On Tizen I have note app, Google Task app, evernote app..... nothing for Wear and almost none of this kind

why not address my first post and tell me exactly (from my requirements) what the S3 can and cannot do
lets start with a live exchange rate widget or even stock quotes, I am still using a Sony Sw2 and it does everything I want it too, I actually just bought an LG Watch Urbane 2 nd Edition LTE Unlocked for 100GBP brand new, very cheap IMO
also if I buy and Samsung Gear S3 I lose 50% of the functionality because I don't have a Samsung phone and never will have
And what we lost with a no Samsung phone ? The only thing is, maybe, the Samsung Email app wich works with Samsung watch. But even with a Samsung phone I use Aquamail and not the Samsung mail. All others things works same with samsung and other phone since the S2 serie.

I believe you are wrong about that
Remember I don't have one and was unable to look at apps because I don't have Samsung phone.....but here is what I have read
- messaging doesn't work properly
- music player (control) extremely limited
- email
- calling functionality
- limited apps but I honestly don't know this for sure because I can't access the app store to look, what I do know is that AW is 100% supported with apps for absolutely everything I would ever need
like I mentioned - stuff like currency/stock tracking doesn't exist, XE is AW enabled but doesn't exist on S3
I use Poweramp as my music player on my phone and can completely control it from my ancient Sony SW2 - go figure, this is extremely useful if I am out and want to hook my phone up to an external sound system - my phone sits meters away and I can control everything from SW from my seat, does Samsung S3 support Poweramp ?? well I don't know because I cannot access the secret Samsung app store without a Samsung Phone or SW - maybe they are hiding it
The list my friend is endless, like I said in my OP - the Gear S3 is IMO the best hardware out there but is unusable on a none Samsung setup and even if you have Samsung phone it is still limited because of lack of app support
IMO Samsung made an error not adopting Android Wear and would have dominated the market it they had
Like said, since Gear S2 Samsung apps works on all Android phone with 1.5Go RAM. Works also on IOS but limited for app wich have an android compagnon app. Messaging is like all others apps and works same way on Wear OS or Tizen OS.
Email ? wear has not really an email app, works just with notification system like Tizen OS. Same for all

I have a OnePlus 6 and a S9+, currently my Gear S3 is paired with my OnePlus.
I get my messages through Google voice and Facebook messenger, both work well. The random text messages work too. With all of these I get notifications but don't have the history, which is fine IMO, I can see and reply to messages, but I don't need to start a conversation from my watch in my usage.
I can play/pause/fast forward/rewind/adjust volume. It works for what is playing already, so I can't start my podcast unless it is 'ready' in the Android system (ie, if I press the play button on my headphones and it would play the podcast/music).
Email, I get notifications for Gmail, can't start a conversation on the watch though.
I can call and recieve calls.
The apps appear to be the same.
I tried the TicWatch pro, it was good, but the health features were crap compared to the S3, plus no MST and slightly worse battery life made me go back to the S3.
Edit: I'm not sure about the watch face thing..... Maybe later this week I can set up the watch designer from Samsung and see if some/all can be added to a watch face.

like I said - 50 functionality, I want something that will work and is fully supported not something that is going to be hit and miss, but it is by far the best in terms of HW.
Over that last few days I have come across many people saying the same thing "I wish it was Android OS" even on this forum where one of the longest threads is about exactly that - porting AW

I've had WearOS, the only thing that was better (and not by much) was side loading Facebook messenger lite. Otherwise, IMO, Tizen and WearOS are very close in functionality, with WearOS winning in apps and Tizen in hardware. WearOS had more apps, but most aren't very useful, and I can program watchface in Tizen easier then WearOS. Tizen had more built in (probably do to the lack of third party apps) so things like sleep tracking works better.
Honestly, but a watch from somewhere with a good return policy and try it out, it's the only way you'll know if it works for you. I'd do this with both watches and see which works better in your specific use case.
I'm honestly not trying to persuade you one way or the other, just having used both OS's recently I want to give an accurate description as to their strengths and weaknesses.

Thanks for the reply and I do understand, I'm in buying mode and have been reading and looking for hours upon hours just absorbing info on all the options, I started this thread for that exact purpose and it is turning out the way I wanted - input from experienced people that is helping me get through the clutter, I have order a watch that I managed to get at a reasonable price 100 sterling for an LG Urbane 2nd addition so no huge investment, the LG sport is a better watch but 2-3 times the price, so I will get it in a couple of days and see how I go with that, unfortunately I won't have my new phone until Sept (Xperia XZ2 Premium) so I will have to manage with my dated Xperia Z1 but it should give me an idea of what I'm dealing with
again thx for taking an interest in my thread you have been very helpful
had my first day with the LG and wow absolutely superb, helped along with the App watchfaces which is also superb
funny I set the watch up and charged it and went out, I actually thought there was something wrong when it showed 100% battery for 2 hours and then started to very slowly drop, I am now 8hrs in and still have 67% battery which I think is impressive, and I had an always on face with lots of widgets, very impressed
