Camera Question

Just was noticing there on the camera while in standby mode just as if I was about to take a picture or video. There is a disturbance on the screen, like a black flickering effect as if you where pointing it at a tv screen which I was not at the time. It shows up in videos but not in photos. Really staring to bug me now. Has it something to do with lighting effects or what... Anybody else experience it

Stock ROM? AOSP have some issues with video still...

I cant see why not, if you have root and a custom recovery make a backup first

It's for I9500 or I9505?
BTW, other camera apps such as the Moto X camera app works without any FCs.

Tried in on an LG P500. FC'd. Could I have expected anything else? Of course not, but hope springs eternal.
(May be running afoul of the graphics driver on the SweetnSour version 11 kernel because after the crash, contacts is up and had this with some other apps as well. Rebooting may also be a problem but not unsolveable.)
At least this baby is compiled by XDA so the jni.so's could be compiled for older phones. How well some functions might work, we'll see. The ones with GalleryGoogle are simply thrown in and much of new Google stuff is now precompiled for Armv7 and overly bloated as well.

Hey guys is it just me or is the game just a really Bad Port. ..... the Note 3 seems to be underpowered on Maximum settings ... i mean wtf that is the Most powerful Device on the market ...

on another thread here on xda I discussed with one guy and in the end it turns out its the car reflection that causes lag
try setting everything on max except car reflection (set it to off)
here are my settings (i get stable 30fps)(am running xnote 7.0 based on ML2 and only mod im using is AOSP theme, no OC)
Visual Effects - max
Resolution - 100%
Draw Distance - 100%
shadows - Advanced
car reflections - off (detailed makes the framerate go 25-30fps with some framedrop when u have a car run into scene)
if you have car reflections set on max you will have terrible lag

How did u guys make it work. I bought, updated to 1.0.3, still it doesnt load after I press play offline. I have then tried pirated version too, that doesnt either working.

Hmm, Odd ! - How fast is your internet ? I'd try uninstalling and re-installing the game ?
If not clear the app cache, restart your phone and try with social club, then without?

What Rom/Kernel are you using ? what other settings ? Have you disabled frame limiter in settings too ? :good:

Jackyaway Rom with custom kernel non OC. .. All settings on max except reflection... frame limiter is disabled of course

Some people have a different opinion on "SMOOTH" this could simply be a case of you cant tolerate it as much as others, like myself :good:
many users are having problems/issues with lagg ect, look at the playstore reviews its clear the game suffers.

i'm really sensitive to framerate, and no matter what settings i use (everything on low or high) it's not REALLY smooth. i remember seeing vice city on S3 for the first time, and that game was running really smooth. there is definetly something wrong with san andreas port. i do not expect them to fix it anytime soon..

Mali ( gpu ) runs them all very well....pain in the backside...i know.
Try these settings and let me know how you get on
Visual effects : Low**
Res: Full
DrawD:Full
Shadows: Classic
Car Reflections: Detailed
For me this runs very smooth and as its high res, looks nicer too ( less jaggy edges ect ). Im about to test a few screenshots and see what im losing with the visual effects but tbh, id prefer fps over some silly particle effects. Lets hope the bugs lie within the Visual effects and its sorted soon !

also i noticed running FPS meter really impacted performance! like 10+ fps lost :S

1.0.2 running ok on my N3 with the car reflection off. Quite a bit of occasional stutters though. Definitely needs optimisation.

Being the great camera modder you are, do you think it's possible to merge images from the duo camera into a 6MP image? the curiosity is killing me haha

Dafuq?? Can i test this camera app myself? The difference seems big! Images look fantastic compared to stock. I do alot of photos.

Erm, as cool as it may sound, but that is kind of impossible. You can not merge 2mp into 4mp to get 6mp. Technically impossible to do so.
One thing you could do is to improve accuracy of the second camera sensor to improve edge/depth detection (for example uFocus quality enhancements) or maybe better detection of light and shadows.
Actually I am really interested what improvements can be done to the camera itself by an expert like @Jishnu Sur™. The sample images from G-Bus in the Photo-Thread already look pretty promising.

I really want to test it now too xD

Release in 10 hours or so. Its lte night here.. Bypassed the hardcoded bitrate of the video of the apk. 39mbps from 20mbps. Clarity should be epic..:good:

Other than HDR+ and photo sphere kind of Google camera specific features, this Moto cam mod is superior to the Google Camera port that we have.

Better try the Oneplus 5 camera mod .. Its good

Really this was the only camera i got for Redmi Note 4X, without the dark video bug. Finally i can reuse my AOSP Extended Custom Rom.

Slow motion video quality is really pathetic, but it's also bad on MIUI so not sure if bug..
2160p video recording at 19fps.

Sample shot with hdr on, overall very nice but colors a bit off, for example wall behind color is almost orange (dark curry) but on pic looks yellowish..

You guys be the judge, the darker photo is from Google camera HDR mod and the lighter one is from this thread.
As said above the colors are a bit off because the clears the photo way too much still I can't complaint it really lights up the pictures, I'm gonna keep both and use Google cam for daylight and this one for night time

What version of your google camera? I use ver4.4 with hrd+ but still not working

Same version with camera config nexusexp2017, I'm on slim7 1.10 and electrablue kernel, no issues whatsoever.

For some reason it doesn't work for me. It says camera error please restart camera even though I've manually given all the permission... I'm on AOSP 15, someone got any idea why?

You may need to edit the build.prop file and enable the persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1 and it will work.

does google camera get dark too? if not, please send me link
