Huawei P20 EML-C432 Bricked asfk - Huawei P20 Questions & Answers

Good evening,
I have a big problem, I did not want to wait for Andorid 9 (although I was already in beta)
I then followed this guide ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20/how-to/guide-how-to-install-emui-9-android-9-t3840338 )
It all worked out wonderfully with the flashing and Android 9 was on it.
I have everything set up and behold, mobile always restarts every 30 seconds.
I went into the information and then saw that I have installed clt instead of eml
How can I backtrack everything now?
I have no root anymore and no twrp because emui9 does not exist yet.
Please help me
Kind regards
EDIT:Can close

Hello, thanks for the reply.
I did a search in google, and tried that first link you posted. The iRoot method wanted to put some weird stuff inside my phone, and even the root wasn't succesfull. And when I look it up in this website, how to root the Mate 9 version, I can see it's quite a process, so I guess those blogs are just scaming us.

It's weird you haven't received any update. B130 is from January. There is a new B141 from August, so that might be coming your way soon. The B3xx seem to be EMUI 5. I can build a twrp for you, but you'll have to test it. You could probably try the one released for Mate 9, it might work. If not you just flash back stock B130 recovery.
I'll be able to build it tonight, at the movies now with kids

You'd have to use the Flash and rebrand guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108. that one has modified stock recoveries. However, none for Lite. I could check and compare Lites recovery to mate 9, if it's not too different it should be easy to make the changes needed. Else you could ask @mankindtw nicely to make it

I'll just check and see what mankindtw did in the other recoveries. It's just a few bytes in 2 files to change. So I'll basically compare your recovery to mine and/or the others in that flash thread and see if there's much difference. If it is you'll have to ask mankindtw as he might know what to look for.
Edit: I will check when I get home

It's too different. If it was just changing the bytes I could do it, but file size is almost half of my recovery image. Lol.
However, you should be able to use TWRP for P9 Lite. It seems to be basically the same device, both are named hi6250 (compared fstab, they're identical and named fstab.hi6250 ).

It's not for sure. I'm just saying the P9 Lite and Mate 9 Lite seem to be identical. So you'll have to test. lol
In case it doesn't work you can just flash back stock recovery.
It's the same if I were to build it, it's not certain it would work as I can't test it myself.
But you should probably wait for mankindtw to patch the recovery image.
And if you install that TWRP, it will probably be in chinese by default.
you can look at section 2.1 here https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-twrp-root-t3405701
to change it to english. If you'll just use it to update to EMUI 5.0 it doesn't really matter.
And when/if you update to EMUI 5.0, you'll want to flash this TWRP instead: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/twrp-t3588356
If you want TWRP that is.

@mankindtw
I have been having issues with my phone, so I'm not sure if you received my previous messages or not (cannot find them in sent PMs), but my name is Vince, and need some MAJOR help...
I was referred to you by someone by the XDA name of ante0, and he mentioned to me in passing that you are the master at creating modified stock recoveries. I was hoping that you'd be able to help me out?
I just recently bought a Huawei Mate 9 Lite (BLL-L23)
that has old software on it. The current build is BLL-L23C605B130, the custom version is CUSTC605D001, and EMUI is 4.1; however, I know that there are builds that are much more recent. My phone, for the life of me, just simply cannot upgrade to the recent firmware via official means.
I recently heard of Firmware Finder and found the latest firmware for my device - but, it tells me under Check Firmware Status, "Firmware not approved for installation." I also heard that there is a way to install that firmware by bypassing authorization.
I would really appreciate it if you would be so kind to create for me a modified stock recovery for my device.
I don't know any other developers who can do so, and I'm definitely not a developer myself, haha. I can't explain why my device won't update, because I know that the most recent build is B364? If I flash the software by bypassing authorization, will everything still work perfectly?
Thank you very much, Mankindtw, for your consideration... I would be extremely grateful for your help, my friend.

Hello! I gave up...
I followed some steps, reading topics from this site.
I could unlock my bootloader (now everytime I power my phone I got a message reminding me that xD)
But I couldn't install the twrp, tested some adb softwares, but nothing... always got some kind of error. And I never get a clear explanation about those chinese .exe softwares to install twrp and those stuff.

That's tough to answer.....it's all a manner of opinion really. I had slightly better SOT though in emui 5 (since its running Android Nougat) where as emui 8 us Android Oreo. Truthfully I flashed an AOSP ROM after I upgraded to emui 8 because once you go to emui 8 / Android Oreo, it enables treble support. I'm not a big fan of emui in the first place though. However, the AOSP ROM's are newer so they are still wip when it comes to working 100% for the huawei mate 9.
May I ask what custom ROM you are using? And how do you find it? What's your SOT?

Download firmware from http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/ (if available) and unpack update.app from update.zip
Open update.app in Huawei Update Extractor and extract ramdisk.img, this is the boot image file that magisk manager needs to patch.

Okay... Sorry for the delay.
You'll obviously have to go back to stock first. And then hisuite should work to upgrade to Oreo. Just trying to think what the best way to return to stock would be for your model version and get you upgraded to Oreo.
i see this requires Microsoft Windows. i only have Linux. any suggestions?

Question regarding ROM Update to Oreo

Hey everyone,
after reading for a few hours in the Guidesection, just a quick question: If i understand it correctly, the only option for me to get the Oreo Update on a EU Honor 6x (BLN L21c432b382) would to rebrand it like that https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/guide-debranding-to-india-variant-bln-t3679402 and after that use this Guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/update-bln-l22c675-emui-5-x-x-to-emui-8-t3819317 to get Android 8.
Or did i miss an easier solution?
Thanks and cheers from Berlin.
Yeah, leave Huawei and buy Nokia.
I bought my parents version 6.1. They received Pie within an hour. Am awaiting version 6.2 in april. Call me lazy.

Help getting back to android 10

Hi guys.
New to this forum.
Been searching through the threads but really struggling to work this out.
I bought this phone because it was great for COD mobile. Worked perfectly with my dualshock 4 controller now after the latest 11 update the buttons are messed up. Figured Sony would have fixed this considering they sell the phone with advertising specifically for this gane, oh and they make the controller as well! Madness!
Anyway I've tried using newflasher to get back to the last 10 update but with no luck. Presumably because of the rollback protection in 11. I did manage it once but that was on the first update this new one just won't do it.
Is there anyway of maybe wiping the OS and flashing a new clean install of android 10?
Worried about rooting because I don't really want to lose my warranty or any features (or screw the phone up) Don't think it's possible without doing that but would be grateful for any advice anyone can offer!
Thanks
Hey I go back from 11 to 10 with this rom:
Sony Xperia 5 II | XperiaFirmware.com

I have used newflasher and IT worked.

Thanks for the info.
I tried quite a few times but it wouldnt go back for some reason. It did work from the first A11 update but once you update to the latest one you cant go back at all.
Luckily it looks like they've worked the problem out between themselves and controller now works with COD and better than before!

You made my day! Yesterday I bought this nice piece of Hardware and spent around 12 hours (reading almost all tutorials in the whole internet) to install Magisk on a XQ52-AS52 58.1.A.5.330 (Android 11). No chance at all.
After downgrading to 58.0.A.28.51 it works very well. Thank you a lot!
Will the firmware on the link work on a XQ-AS62? I have been looking to downgrade from Android 12 to Android 10. Thanks!

Question Xperia 5 III Android 11 Firmware

Hi,
Does anybody know where i can get Android 11, HK version firmware for Model XQ-BQ72. Want to downgrade from Android 12.
Appreciate any leads, thanks.
I have SEA backed up if that's helpful?

u can't downgrade anymore....they changed the bootloader too with the update, so u missing some function like screen turn cause gyroscope isn't starting after downgrade
