This kernel is running on my device for one week now on sgspluss' 15.1 test build, has an amazing battery life and everything runs very smooth. Until now there aren't no issues to complain about! :good:
Just flashed your kernel, the first impression is good, will give feedback after few days of usage. I've thing though, I lost root after flashing your kernel so please includes flashing magisk in your flashing instruction.
How basic is this kernel?
Basic just added driver and the things you could read in #2 posting all other is 1:1 same as you can find at kernel org.

Is this definitely for the MTK version of the RN4?
Could someone review this at all, posting relevant things like performance (benchmarks) and battery life?
Hoax, nothing worth to download here and use
Can you explain please?
This is great!! Thank you, finally! Great, really great work! Tested with latest EU weekly build, with CPU Z , and it works flawlessly.
anyone test for multirom?
testing on MTk 3/64gb, epic Rom 7.3.23 with cosmic tweaks, andbaudio mod, xposed, greenefy and force doze. i ve seen changes when switching profiles, whill test couple of days and report, now on battery profile from 48% battery left and will report SOT after depleting. Great work for DEV .... Nice to see some changes for MTK version.
Thanks once again.

Hi all.
Compatibility:
Builds starting with r1 are for Lineage OS 14.1 based roms.
Builds starting with r2 up to r6 are compatible with Android Oreo 8.1.0 roms.
Builds starting with r7 are only for Android 8.1.0 and 9.0.0 treble builds.
Download:
https://francokernel.app
Installation:
Flash the zip in your recovery
or
Auto-flash from Franco Kernel Updater app
Features:
1 - Legendary battery life
2 - Flash & forget
3 - Typical interfaces like display adjustments, sound control, vibration control, and all that boring stuff
4 - Bypasses the verified boot flag for Android Pay compatibility (root still breaks Android Pay but that's your own problem)
5 - Idle power consumption reduced to the absolute minimum (if you have wakelocks from 3rd party apps you're obviously on your own)
6 - Support for FKUpdater's Performance Profiles
7 - Magical support, I'm here every day, checking posts almost hourly, ready to help anytime (well, unless you fail to read the OP, which contains most info you need)
8 - Seemless integration with my app FKUpdater
9 - No useless placebo patches, or "magical" optimizations
10 - Probably more, check my github for all the details - the code speaks for itself

Troubleshooting
To start android, enter your password
If you got this error message after booting, you need to format (not wipe) data partition twrp.
You will loose all data on internal storage, so please safe it on your computer or any other place!
After format data partition reboot twrp, copy rom and gapps again to phone and flash again.
Now it should boot and work normal without any needed password.
... and please remember your device is now encrypted. If you ever want to flash another ROM you need to make sure it has that capability.

Camera works fine here could you take log cat while doing photo and sent it me?
Hotspot will check it asap.
Translation will add by lineage team so can't do anything, for that we have to be patient until lineage team add them time by time.

IMHO it's the best battery level presentation

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. I certainly plan to give it my best. Ims is quite a must for me on my carrier. I plan to work on that once I finish up a few bugs that I have left. Nothing major though.

I know that USA carriers have some strange implementation of IMS (Don't know much about just know it doesn't work on phones outside of the USA most of the time)
I can certainly test it on a more standard IMS setup which actually has no ODM image installed for my carrier.

If you guys want ota via the lineage updater just add this line to your/system/build.prop
Code:
lineage.updater.uri=https://raw.githubusercontent.com/klabit87/OTA/master/crownqltechn.json
In my tests, ota zip didn't want to auto install in twrp for some reason. Maybe that can resolve later but it's easy to navigate to /data/lineageos_updater and install the rom zip. My searches indicate it's a common issue sometimes?
This will be included in future builds. This is for those that want to get ahead.
I plan to upload an update/ota tomorrow.

Hi
Do you mean it wouldn't work with N960U1 or you won't bring the one ui 2.1?
Thanks

No to both.
I mean a custom rom such as lineage could be possible for your locked devices but not my builds.
You'd need to find someone willing to put the effort in to create a custom rom compatible with you guys' particular situation.

Just updated the op with a link to my new chat. Sorry for the inconvenience, you may leave the old one and only have the new one. I am migrating things now.
