Titanium Backup / Google Drive (disallowed_useragent) - General Questions and Answers

Recently purchased Titanium Backup pro, mainly because it has an option to upload to Google Drive. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work (keep getting a "disallowed_useragent" error, see image link below). I've emailed the developer but no response, and Google searches seem to indicate that the dev has to update his software otherwise it won't work. Does anyone know of a way to get Titanium Backup to upload automatically to Google Drive?
Thanks in advance, any help would be greatly appreciated. If more details are needed or anything is unclear please let me know.

No, I haven't done anything in regards to security settings. Can you expand on you idea? Not 100% sure where / what I would need to change / lower. Thanks! Appreciate the reply.

I can't post any links due to my status in the forum, but try to google
Let less secure apps access your account
Should be the first result (an explanation by support.google)

Think I found it, but unfortunately my Google account is linked to work, which requires dual authentication.
Any other ideas? Appreciate the help...
BTW, I tried it on my son's phone, which doesn't have dual authentication... still the same problem / error message.

Write on PDF .apk?

I'm still using a Note 2.. I was wondering if anyone could rip and upload the Write on PDF .apk, I'm curious if it will work on my device, it would be really useful as I'm not sure of any good alternatives.
Thanks!

I think you're right on both accounts. Extracted the apk from my stock ROM & tried to install it on my N2, won't install (parsing package error), I believe it is only 64bit compatible. My N2 doesn't even show the app's icon.
My N5 had it stock but I hated the app & did not use it. I'm on a debloated ROM now & tried it, won't install either so maybe it does require something else. I get an "app not installed" error.

Accidentally deleted album

Hi all,
I hope someone will be able to help me! I have an s8+ model SM-G955FD. I was in the gallery and deleted an entire album (amazed it would even let me do that without confirmation). How do I get my lost videos/images back please? I have tried dr.fone which says the phone needs to be rooted and oneclickroot has said it can't be rooted yet. I don't particularly want to root my phone.
Please help!
Thanks in advance
Joe
Are you in the habit of logging into Google or Samsung accounts?
If so you may find they were backed up to the cloud, if not there are a number of apps on Playstore, one such is called 'DiskDigger Photo Recovery', all purporting to recover deleted files.
Thanks for your prompt response.
Unfortunately the videos weren't backed up. I've tried DiskDigger which is very good - it didn't find the videos and says I need to do a deeper scan for which a root is required.
Sorry to hear that. Were you at least able to salvage some or all of the photos?

Yes I did thanks but the videos are an issue. I've been trying to use the phone as little as possible hoping I'll be able to undelete the files but so far I haven't found anything to do that.
Try this For Videos Recovery Without Root
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=video.recovery&hl=en
For Pictures Disk Drigger is best without root
Thanks very much. Great app in theory but in practice it seems to have copied all my whatsapp video to the recovered folder! I guess without root (which I believe can't be done for the S8), I'm stuffed.
I find someone says the GT Recovery and DiskDigger. But when I tried with them just find some small photos, no the original.

File/Data Recovery on unrooted stock P20 Pro CLT-L29 [HELP]

Hi, so some background, it has been a long time since I have touched custom ROMs or root access on an android device (back when the Nexus 2 released) so I don't really remember anything and know nothing about how the android environment has changed.
The reason for my post is that I was "hiding" sentimental/sensitive material in a folder associated with the Google Drive application using a file manager app (cut and paste into Drive folder) so that it wouldn't appear in Gallery scans, and when my drive app wasn't working as expected I (stupidly) uninstalled the update (can't actually uninstall the app on stock ROM) causing the folder to be wiped. Now I'm trying to find a way to recover the files but all the solutions recommended by a google search that I've tried require root and from what I know, correct me if I'm wrong, unlocking my bootloader to gain root access will wipe my internal storage which would probably defeat the whole purpose(?) of trying to recover information as it will overwrite the sectors. So does anyone know of anyway that I can recover this data from my device? I am willing to root as long as it will yield results.
tl;dr - need to recover files on stock P20 Pro (locked bootloader, no root), please help I am lost and a noob now
Thanks in advance!
P.S. This was (incorrectly) posted in the discussion forum before and I have requested it to be deleted

Stop bumping. You are simply in the wrong section. None of us has a Pro model. This is the P20-Forum. Not Pro, not lite. I can not understand why people see 3 different devices as one. Ask here. Good luck!

[HELP] Internal Storage not accessible

Hi,
Since a few days I'm unable to see any data in my phone via gallery or file manager or any application, and I'm unable to save any data to internal storage. (example: I'm able to use whatsapp for texting, but I can't receive/send any audio/picture and I can't access the old ones).
And I keep getting this error message:"com.android.providers.media.MediaApplication keeps stopping."
I don't know if that's what causing it or if that's just a consequence of not being able to access internal storage.
I can still see all the used storage from settings though.
Phone has unlocked bootloader, but no root/custom rom/recovery.
I saw other Oneplus users started getting the same error these days... (I have a Oneplus 6, but others have different models like Oneplus Nord).
Someone resolved by wiping system and they were able to retrieve storage content and functionality, but they lost apps data, I'm trying to find another way since I have an unlocked bootloader.
A user on stackoverflow suggested I should clean the com.android.providers.media.MediaApplication app data to regenerate the database, but I couldn't figure out how to do it
I tried cleaning media and media.module packages (not media.MediaApplication) from adb but no luck even if successful.
I tried removing "com.android.providers.media" (not media.MediaApplication, I couldn't find that one) folder from data/data with twrp file manager but no luck...
Is there a way to specifically clean "com.android.providers.media.MediaApplication"?
If anyone has any other suggestion on things to try, post it here please.

Maybe it's just a common error, you could search it up on youtube but I guess you will have to backup and reset your device

Sorry, I see your message only now... Do you remember when did you have this problem? And was it this exact message on a Oneplus 6?
I have the problem of not being able to save anything in the storage or having a broken zip, always after using msmtool 10.3.5, I saw it in a post here about this file and it solved.

If it's that secure what makes you think such a easy way would work? No, it won't. Remove the security first

When I say modified secured. I meant it's using an android system. But have very limited function. Like don't allow user to add apps. And no wifi or cell services. No memory slot. Only way I could think about adding apps to there is through an OTG cable

It would help if you would just post more informations. For example, if I want to flash a file on samsung, I would use Odin. You cannot use Odin with other brands, like xiaomi, Huawei, oneplus. Post as much information you can. Do you want our help or not? So far you ve only said that the device is secured. That's not helpful at all, given there are many ways of securing a device, some devices have more means of securing them. What methods to bypass said security work on some and don't work on others. So, if you want help, post as much information as possible.

1st, he said in it post #5.
2nd, with a proprietary protocol on the USB port? That would be a major flaw, considering what this device is meant for (providing entertainment to inmates).
