You'll probably have to create the rooting method for yourself because developers don't usually own off-brand, low end or cheap Chinese devices or develop anything for Chinese devices. Usually, it's not an actual developer that figures out a root method for Chinese devices, it's usually a non-developer member here that owns one of the devices but can't find an existing method of rooting the device then takes it on themselves to learn how to do it for themselves because of the lack of support from real developers.
You have 2 options.
1) you can try the rooting apps such as Kingroot and other similar rooting apps.
2) unlock your bootloader then learn how to build your own TWRP recovery then flash it on your device then flash Magisk to gain root.
If you want a developer to do it for you, you'll have to buy another device like yours and donate it to them because, as I said previously, actual developers don't own or work with the cheap Chinese devices. Actual developers focus on the mainstream flagship devices. Other than that, you're on your own.
If you like customizing your devices, start buying better devices, devices that are actually supported by developers, it doesn't have to be an expensive flagship device, but at least not a Chinese or low-end device. If you choose to buy a cheap device, be prepared to have no root or custom ROMs for your device because if the device isn't popular or does not have a large community of owners, it usually doesn't get any support here.

If you follow the MOKEE website, in it you can find the way to root and install TWRP. I've successfully tried to install TWRP and MIUI too. If you need help please let me know.

I have owned a ZTE Axon Pro for about 5 months now and no root has come out for it. I'm very upset with the software updates that ZTE is pushing for my device and would like to be able to flash a custom ROM but no root is out for the device as of now. I have a fair amount of experience with Linux and programming and would be interested in undertaking the root myself, but also don't want to brick my phone on the first try. I also have no idea where to even get started and was hoping for some pointers. It'd be great to bring value to my beautiful phone and others that have the same phone.

Now that the bootloader can be unlocked, and full rooting is on its way with fully supported TWRP, it will be possible to have a large choice of ROMs.
What do people think will be the best for this -tablet-, er, phone?
Resurrection Remix 5.8 Rom
Thor Galaxy S7 Style Rom
Even as it is the device is very well built and with only rooting I am sure we could do a lot of customisations.
KANGVIP pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

Hi Everyone!
I must have stated this many times before in different threads but let me repeat. Whilst the ZF3U is a very capable and really useful device, the developer community has abandoned any work on this device. Root is available, kernel unlock is available but no attention from developers. I really cannot understand this. Even the Sony Xperia Z Ultra with its lack of features such as a basic flash and dual sim got more roms and customizations than our ZF3Us. ZF3U definitely deserves more attention, in fact it deserves more attention than the Note Series due to its size and base features. I have been wishing for a proper Paranoid Android style rom for a long time but there is not even one credible rom for this device. Very disappointed on this aspect of the device.
CAUTION! In my opinion, and as many have learned the hard way, I would strongly advise that you do not unlock the bootloader and/or root unless you really are prepared for risks. Until decent support becomes available use the device in its original factory state. I am currently on my 2nd ZF3U and have no trouble at all. I even, suspect that the current root method and TWRP may even be corrupt that some users are having these issues. My 1st one died after so many software issues and then root related issues so be cautious is my advice.
@AWFRONT, Thanks for sharing.
There are just no dedicated 'developers' for most of the phones in the market on custom ROMs. All the them are users and volunteers like us. You can always step up as a developer.

I agree but think that Samsung phones seem to be getting the most attention than ASUS and Huawei. As someone who has been following the developments on Custom Roms, I think since the move by most OEMs to bring their UX on their devices closer to stock Android, most developers do not think it is worth any attention apart from Root and may be Xposed mods etc… .
IbwishvI could step up as a developer but, lets say the preessures of life make me stay for the time being as an enthusiastic user but you never know.
I have bought a new Android Cell phone QMobile Noir i6 Metal HD
I have search everywhere in the web, but no information found regarding rooting, unlocking and custom roms for it.
It is a very good cell phone and needs root/unlock and custom roms.
Please contribute with root/unlock and rom development for it.
regards,
Martin....

If you aren't willing to donate a device like yours to a developer to do the work you ask for, then don't bother asking. If any developers had the device there would already be development for it.
Since there is nothing available for the device, this means no developer has one, they can only develop for devices they have in hand, they aren't going to go buy one just so they can do what you ask so you'll have to provide one to a willing developer if you want anything. Otherwise, do some searching and learn to develop for yourself like everyone else here that has a device that isn't supported but wants development

At first hi to all of you , you might know me I made twrp and the first root and patched stuff to be able to run AOSP , so but lately I came to the conclusion that the g7 is just not a good device for devs , so I unrooted installed stock and relocked my boot loader.
From this point of time any given support for the device by me will be ended and never picked up again.
Im sry but if u like the device and want rom etc you need to do it yourself now

Hi, so sad to read this, but thanks for your great work. Can i ask you why you stop with this awesome phone? What is the main problem?
Sorry to hear those news, J0SH1X. Same question as kimo9hero, what did lead to the decision of yours? (If you allow us asking
@J0SH1X thanks for all your work, but I think we're naive if we consider any recent LG phone "developer friendly" since all their latest models were lacking support even from the company (very late updates).
Guys there is hope that we'll see modding and roms for our g7?
I don't think so, without at least one enthusiastic dev it's not possible. There are no resources so any potential dev have to figure everything out by himself, constantly risking to brick an expensive device. Luckily, the stock 10f rom works real well and the hardware is superb. One just risk living without some typical root utilities.
I would be happy for some dev picking it up, but I don't count on it.

I totally understand that decision. Read following thread where some problems are mentioned.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g7-thinq/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-t3809297
:crying::crying: plz make a costume room for it
There's mention of the r11s in this thread for possible treble support when oppo releases Oreo international. ?
With no access to fastboot I don't know how to unlock bootloader any ideas??

If a developer that has the skills owned your device, there would probably be ROMs for it. Since there aren't any ROMs for it, this means no developers with the skill own the device.
This means, if you want a ROM for that device, you'll have to find a developer that has the knowledge and is willing to do the work of building a ROM but you'll have to buy another one of that device and donate it to the developer. Developers have to have one of the devices on hand in order to test what they build so they don't risk bricking someone else's device during testing, you can't expect that developer to buy a copy of the device just so they can build you a ROM. Building a ROM is not easy and it's a lot of work, I don't think you realize exactly the gravity of what you're asking for.
This place isn't to help you make your phone cool, this place is more about learning and making information available than it is about making your phone cool.
