Battery issues after upgrading from 7.0 to Oreo 8.0 - General Questions and Answers

Hello Everyone!
My sincerest apologies If this is in the wrong section. I planned to root my phone ( Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge 7.0 ) which ended up with a disaster because since I used TWRP to flash I had to turn off FRP lock( which I forgot ) and after a phone restart I couldn't get in the phone anymore and basically had to install a new firmware so instead of installing the same firmware again I decided to go for Oreo 8.0 which is working really good but it's draining the battery like HELL. I checked every background running processes, even used Dev options to limit the # background apps but it still eats up a lot of battery for no reason. I downloaded this firmware from Sammobile and It's Thailand region firmware while my stock firmware was UAE. Also I'm seeing some weird options in my settings like T roaming, service provider and 2 clone of " battery " and " Apps " which If I open one, will crash the " Settings " itself.
SO my question is, Is this a firmware compatibility issue? Can I downgrade back to 7.0?

Can I go back to Lollipop or even kitkat from Marshmallow SM-N915A AT&T

I have the Note Edge SM-N915A at&t currently locked, previously soft bricked from settings on the phone then restored back and updated to Marshmallow. System Status is official now , I cleared cache, ram and reinstalled Marshmallow..still shuts down whenever it wants, slow input ,lags etc. All the problems I've read about. Had CPR restore to lollipop but camera sucked and it wouldn't access wi-fi but they brought the system back to official, then I installed Marshmallow. I hope to find the last lollipop firmware so ?I can install using odin. any help would be appreciated. Thank you

If you really need it still, you can check on sammobile or updato for the firmware.

Update my s7 edge from 6.0.1 to 8 and the signal doesn't work

Well, I had installed the android 6.0.1 but I decided to change it to android 8 for odin (a serious error) because now my s7 edge has no signal, I know this happens because the imei is altered, but to get it back I had made a backup in TWRP, the problem is that when changing rom the TWRP is deleted then try to install it as I had done before, the problem is that it does not work anymore, when installing TWRP for odin, and enter to resaurar my copy that had already fact shows storage in (0) mb and I can not restore it, when leaving TWRP it does not go beyond the samsumg logo and I have to flash the AP for odin of the android 8 that I have downloaded, now, I just want to go back to android 6.0.1 and have the device, as it was before, I know it was a novice error but I take your help, for TWRP I can not go back to 6.0.1 because I think TWRP does not have s7 edge support with android 8.
I translated this into Google Translate, sorry if there are parts that are not understood
i have an unlocked s7, so i guess that is what i can hope if i do the same, that makes me sad because i want android 8

Confused while trying to update my phone

Hello everyone,
I have bought a used Samsung Galaxy S8+ from China. I have been using it for a few days and i havent noticed anything odd. I don't know the phones origin or for how long has it been used before I got it.
It is running on Android 7.0 (Nougat). Since this is an older version of android I've been thinking to update it to Android 8.0 (Oreo). But I know that the phone doesn't have the originl ROM installed on it since I am not able to update it from the settings app and I also noticed that Knox was tripped in Odin mode.
This is the part which confuses me: if i enter Odin download mode there is a section which tells you your model number, and for me it says SM-G955N but if I look at the back of the phone or in the settings app it says SM-G955FD.
I was planning to download custom ROM and just simply install it via Odin app on my pc.
I'm just worried that I don't mess up something on my phone since the model numbers don't match up. How do I install any software update from this point and does the missmatching model number influence it?
I would very much appreciate anyones help, thanks.

Android version did not changed

Hi,
I had Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8000 with Android 4.4.2 Yesterday I've decided to upgrade using
update-samsung-galaxy-note-10-1-android-7-0-nougat-lineageos-rom/
Wiped, Rooted, TWRP installed, Android 7.0 Nougat ROM installed, Google apps package installed. Every time positive acknowledgment. Everything seems to be OK, software seems to be installed properly.
However, the Android version (4.4.2) (Settings > About), Kernel version, Build number remained unchanged and greyed.
So I cannot install any new apps - they still read I use old Android and prevent installation.
Any idea of how to repair this? Can I change somewhere what >>Settings > About<< shows?
Hi,
if the userdata is also still the same like before,
your eMMC is locked.
I'm repairing these things...
I guess you have to change your eMMC to fix your tablet.

Help downgrading encrypted bootloader samsung phone.

Hi all !
Hope everyone have a great day, i have got a samsung galaxy A6 US variant TMB, (SM-A600T) with android version 9, I was trying to root the phone but didn't have the knowledge that this phone can't be rooted because of locked bootloader which can't be unlock with any procedure. So i gave up and just updated my phone to the latest version available of PIE . (Android 9), To tell you more, before it was also on the same version of android 9 but earlier date. I have not updated a whole version of android but just to a latest date of android 9, Android 10 is also available for this phone but i haven't done that yet. The main problem with my phone is that before this update i just needed to charge my phone once in 24 hours, and now after update i need the same phone with same demands to charge it 3 times in 24 hours, Did every optimization for battery, unused apps, extra apps uninstalled, just one google account left, synchronization is off, NFC and near scanning is off, Bluetooth / Wifi is off, GPS is off. Auto update for apps and system software is off. Battery saving mode is enabled, clear cash has been done, factory reset is already done with flashing this version of android with odin tool, and etc every other thing has been tried with no luck, please don't advise for these things as the main problem for me is just the android version itself which i have newly flashed. Because of locked bootloader i can't flash back my older version of android 9 with odin tool, phone gives error of bootloader :
sw rev check fail device 2 binary 5something like above after many tries the same result. tried my old firmware with the new bootloader but still no luck. (Same error). Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I am thinking what if i extract the AP of the new flashed firmware and replace the system.img.lz4 with my old firmware's system.img.lz4 to trick the phone and reflash with the new firmware but old system image file, Can this be done ? or i may brick my phone for ever ? what if i take my phone to the outside market and request a z3x flash for the old firmware version ? will that work ?
Please give any accurate solution i really want my old phone back, this locked bootloader has become a really annoying thing for me. I will never buy a phone like this which bootloader's can't be open again. Or if i wasn't able to flash this to my old version i will never use android again in my life, Better option will be to buy an iphone after 17 years of android use.
Thanks in advance.
