I was in China recently and I decided to get myself a phone. I should of bought a well known brand but I didn't think it would be difficult to root it and install a fresh rom so everything is in english. So far I have managed to change the language setting to english but the browser remains in Chinese.
What I want to do is install a fresh andriod rom similiar to the Galaxy S5 look and feel

Hi my name is pawan, using infocus m350 from past 6 months.........but i need to install android 6 on my phone because most of all devices have cyanogenmod 13 but m350 doesn't released any 6.0 version. So,if possible please send me any other link to get information about android 6.
Hello and Welcome to XDA,
I'm afraid there is no Android 6.0 available for your device as of now. But you can do a bit more research and try to find a clone device which matches your chipset as MT devices have almost same configs and ROMs with same chipsets work for the other. For more help, register an account on XDA and visit Misc development or you can ask questions over android>help
Good luck.
I am new to rooting Android devices as well as this form. I am using a cheap Chinese q88 tablet for practice until I'm ready to try it on my real phone. I would like to flash a ROM onto this device but cannot find one that is compatible. Is there an eficient way to search for a compatible ROM or does anybody know of one off hand?
model: Q88
processor: quad core A33
android version: 4.4.2
firmware: v2.1
kernel version: 3.4.39
and one more general follow-up question, now that I have rooted my device successfully what do I do with it? All internet advice says the best way to see Improvement is to install a ROM, hence, the first part of this question.

Hi,
how to root the q88 device ?
Hello there,
I own a "Symphony i90".
OS : Android 7.0 | Mediatek MT6735 | Ram : 1 Gig | Kernel : 3.18.35
The chip is 64bit but the official firmware is 32bit.
I want to install a custom rom as i'll use microg instead of google. Manually debloating has mostly left me with either a soft-bricked phone or some gapps remaining which tend to crash a lot.
So far i've looked all over google to look for the right rom to port but i never found one with matching requirements (architecture or kernel, etc)
I looked into some facebook groups which did have some possibly compatible roms but they lead to dead links when trying to download. On top of that, they have been inactive for about a year or two.
I hope i can recieve some help, i'd be very grateful. Thanks
Hi everyone! This is my first post so..first of all I apologize for my grammar, I'm Spanish.
A few days ago I found at home a BQ phablet model Elcano 2 Quadcore. After charging and turning on the device I realized that it currently runs android 4.2.2. I managed to root my device so that I could update it to a more current version of android. The problem comes when I can't find any TWRP recovery or support on Lineage OS.
I have read that you can use the recovery of another device with the same specifications as mine but I have not found anything on the internet either.
Hope you can help me update my phablet. I don't need the latest version of android, by making my device useful I'm satisfied.
I downloaded the Aida64 application to know what processor I have:
MediaTek MT8389
4x ARM Cortex-A7 @ 1508MHz
1Gb Ram
32Gb ROM
7inch
Thanks dudes
