Gear S3 Classic Bootloop Stuck - Samsung Gear S3

I have a gear s3 classic that is stuck in bootloop. It will NOT power on unless on the charging cradle. Off the cradle it will NOT power on at all. I have done more than several recovery resets and it just goes to the reboot screen and then just hangs on the Samsung logo. I ordered the bit set and will be disassembling today to check for water damage. I've read that ALLOT of people are having the same issues. And I can get into the wireless download. Is there a way to refresh the firmware from NetOdin3? I dont want to flash. If there is a way to refresh the firmware to stop the hangup, then I can at least do a firmware update one past the bootup. Any help would be great. Thanks.

[Q] Device Won't Power On or Boot to Recovery, Please Help

Hey Guys,
I'm not sure if this is hard bricked, soft bricked, or just altogether screwed. It's a stock Verizon SCH-I535 my wife had and wasn't rooted or anything. One day it just woke up off the charger and wouldn't turn on. Removing the battery and turning it on, it'll show the Samsung Galaxy SIII splash page and then go to a black screen. It will not boot into recovery, just vibrates then shows a black screen. It will boot into Download mode, however the Samsung Upgrade Assistant freezes at 83% when trying to repair it and Odin just hangs at SetupConnection... or Initializing...
I've tried different usb ports and cables. I've tried instructions from various threads such as

flashing a .PIT file and everything else I could find, to no avail. Is it just time to throw in the towel or is there something else worth trying? Thank you,

Bump
Bump, bump bump bump. Is there any way to check if this is hardware related?

Have you tried using a new battery? I would be VERY surprised if it was a software issue if you hadn't messed with it prior. I'd be even more surprised if it was a hardware issue other than something like just a toasted battery

Thanks for the thought. I borrowed a friend's battery and it was the same. Just stopped on the Galaxy SIII splash screen and then went to black. I'm probably going to call it toasted and go for an S5.

What about a stuck power button? Seems like a decent number of people are having that issue

Two dead S6-G920F - possible causes

Hi guys,
I recently bough two S6-G920F really cheap (~80 euros each) that appeared to be functional, but with software issue (one wasn't booting up, the other was bootlooping), in hope of repairing them.
From the start, I'll tell you that the phones are currently at a GSM Service, at a hardware guy. I haven't heard from him yet (leaved them today in service). I tried all possible software solutions, no luck. I'm more interested to see if anyone else encountered these issue, what are the possible causes and maybe if someone managed to fix these kind of issues.
Device 1 : No physical damage on the phone itself or the board. The phone doesn't charge when plugged in, but (tries) to boot up as soon as it's connected. It gets stuck on the "powered by android" screen. I am able to enter download mode, but not into recovery (the button combo doesn't work). The battery itself charges ok externally on a jig. I'm not able to flash any kind of firmware on it with Odin, it always fails at system.img at random percentage. I can flash custom recovery / bootloader / kernel, but has no point, I can't get into recovery or past the the boot logo. If left plugged in on the download screen, the phone gets a bit hotter than normal (not sure if it's because of the screen always being on). While plugged in, the board draws constantly 700mah, not letting the battery charge. The guy I bought it off told me that it died suddenly while gaming and never turned on again.
Device 2 : Was dropped, cracked screen glass and back glass. It charges, I can get into download / recovery mode, i can flash any firmware I find. Doesn't get past the samsung logo (in case of 5.1.1) or the "installing system" screen (in case of 6.0.1). It either bootloops or it freezes. Tried custom rom, custom kernel, original firmware, they all do the same. Tried going into recovery and wiping cache & dalvik, and the phone got stuck on a black screen with the blue led always on. Had to disconnect the batter (key combo didn't want to work anymore). The guy I bought it off told me it worked fine with cracked screen until the 6.0.1 update kicked it, then it started bootlooping and it stayed like that.
What my best guess is :
Device 1 : a short somewhere on the motherboard. Didn't figure out yet where. Maybe caused by faulty charger?
Device 2 : faulty eMMC chip. That's the only thing I can think of that would make any kind of firmware I put on it freeze.
Did you guys ever encounter any of these issues before?
Cheers.
Seems your guesses are right, no i didnt encounter these problems before.
Hi guys,
Small update. Got the devices back from the GSM service, they didn't manage to do anything.
For device #2 I managed to get a stable recovery (that doesn't freezes) by flashing arter97's recovery. From here I proceeded to installing custom ROM/kernels, but no luck, still freezing on the Samsung logo once it reboots after install.
I have access to the terminal via TWRP. Any commands that I can use to do some memory / cpu checks?

S7 Freeze and Boot Loop. Tried Everything.

Switched phone on after work, phone powers up, boots up and then freezes after around 20 secs then switches off and re-boots, the process then starts again over and over again.
I've tried deleting cache, master reset, safe mode, simulated battery reset which does not work. I let the battery run flat by putting the phone into download mode and then recharged the battery but still nothing. The phone seems stable only in download mode.
I managed to re-install stock 7.0 firmware via Odin. Firmware installs fine, phone boots up and then freezes on welcome screen and then boots up again. I then tried 6.0.1, again installs fine, I get the welcome set up screen but after a 20 odd secs freezes up again.
The phone is less than two years old. Samsung service centre warranty job? Thanks.
Yes. Mine had also freezing and reboot issues, Sammy changed the Mainboard

Same problem after 5 months.
Yes get it back to service centre
guys this sounds like the same issues the lgg4 was having with the ilapo bootloop also a snapdragon
had bad solder points on the big cores and they would come loose over time and basicly the phone was stuck in a infinite loop

Galaxy S7 won't turn on but will charge(kinda)

I've had this phone for about 2 months now, and from the beginning, it's had an issue where it would randomly freeze, restart, and get stuck in a boot loop for random amounts of time. Sometimes it would be fine after 2 minutes, sometimes it would need 10. I kept thinking this was a firmware issue - the phone WAS rooted with TWRP installed, but none of my past phones have had this issue and hardly anybody online seems to have had it, either - and just thought that maybe installing a custom ROM would fix it, but never got around to doing so.
3 days ago, my S7 went into a boot loop again, so I just decided to put it down and let it do its thing. After 20 minutes, however, it still wasn't booting, so I booted into TWRP, and cleared the cache and Dalvik cache. Another 20 minutes later, I went into panic mode and started doing Nandroid backups of my stuff. I decided that I had no other choice but to commence with finding a ROM to replace stock. In the meantime, I just plugged it in and let it keep looping, hoping against hope that it would just fix itself like it always did.
About half an hour later, I was ready to install the ROM I'd decided on. I went and picked up my phone, but all that I saw was the screen was black, and the blue notification LED was lit up. I tried holding Vol- + Power to start booting it into TWRP, but nothing happened. The phone didn't vibrate, the screen didn't change, and the LED stayed lit. I tried holding every button combination possible, for even as long as a minute, but the phone refused to respond. I tried plugging it into my computer, but Windows didn't detect anything.
Skip to today, and the phone's battery has long since died(the LED isn't lit up, so I can only assume...), and I just decided to plug the phone in for the hell of it just to see if maybe it would maybe work again. To my astonishment, 2 minutes later, the battery icon came up on the screen, but the charging animation wasn't there. When I held Vol- + Power, the phone actually responded and restarted! Though, it wouldn't boot past the Galaxy S7 splash screen, and when I tried to boot it into TWRP, it went back to being a brick. I let it sit for about 10 minutes, plugged it in, and this time tried to get it into Download Mode, and it worked!
I downloaded the Switzerland version of the G930F firmware, flashed it in Odin, and everything seems to have worked. Odin says it succeeded, but when the phone tried to restart, it got to the splash screen, and after a few minutes, the screen went black again. When I plug it in now, the Galaxy S7 screen will come up, but now I can't seem to get into Download Mode anymore(though, it DOES still seem to respond to me pressing Vol- + Power).
Does anyone have any idea what's going on? I can only seem to find 3 or 4 other threads on various forums about this problem, but none of them have any answers. People just keep saying the usual "Hold Vol- and Power to make the phone restart", but in case I haven't made it clear, THAT ISN'T WORKING.
And before you suggest that I return it to where I bought it for a replacement or refund: I bought this phone on eBay from a seller who said it was in pretty much mint condition. When the phone arrived, there was not a dent or scratch anywhere on the phone, even around the charger port, so I have no reason to believe he was lying. When I asked him about any possible problems with the phone's operational stability the other day, he says he tested it for about 2 weeks, and that he didn't notice anything.
Sounds like a hardware fault, not much else you can do other than flashing stock and factory resetting, which you've done
Considering it had a fault from day 1 it sounds like that fault finally caught up with it
Likely scenario if sent for repair, new motherboard replacement needed

S3 Frontier - Download Mode (Wireless) - Not working

I recently purchased a "returned" S3 frontier. Out of the box, it worked for around 24hrs after being fully charged. I figured I was good to go. At the end of the second day of use (no charging), it shut down and froze. stuck on the logo screen. I've followed many tutorials on getting into recovery / factory modes to reset the watch and reboot. This only worked 1 time for me. The charger sits with the flashing red light. I've attempted rebooting many times. I've also told it to Power Off.... but when I stick it back on the charger to charge, it reboots and locks. Then the charger sits flashing red. I am also unable to figure out how to select wireless AP mode. I've followed those tutorials as well.
Something I noted, on the Download screen the Warranty Void is set to 1 and the Binary says custom. I really want to return this to factory if at all possible. Any factory firmware out there? R760NDAAXAR is the model.
